The Duskfall Clan continued watching from a great distance, but watching was all they did. The world around Magical City simply moved forward, the way it always had, indifferent to what had happened beneath its notice.
The Walker Clan did not survive those six months.
It did not fall in a single dramatic moment. It faded instead, slowly, the way a fire fades once nobody adds more wood to it.
The remaining elders began quietly selling off assets within the first month. Several of the clan's businesses changed hands soon after, passed to merchants and smaller clans willing to pay fair prices for properties the Walker Clan could no longer maintain.
