🌫 LOCATION: NARAYANGANJ BORDER — 5 DAYS LATER
NeoDhaka limped.
Street signs glitched.
Drones hovered dead above roads.
Children sat beside blank-eyed parents, asking names that didn't exist anymore.
Silo's purge was surgical — and merciless.
And Rafi couldn't stop it.
He tried repairing memory clusters.
He tried distributing backups from the King File.
But the virus had no undo button.
He wandered the ruins, alone now, gripping the last working copy of Shohan's voice.
> "Tell me what to do," Rafi whispered.
The file was silent.
---
🗡 A NEW THREAT — THE LAST FRAME
On the sixth day, a drone found him.
Old, battered. From the Bone Frame, thought extinct.
It dropped a cube at Rafi's feet.
He opened it.
Inside:
A sealed letter
A map
A retinal vial — bio-coded to him
The message was short:
> "You've broken the world.
Come see what you've built."
— Arqam (The Bone King)
---
🧠 WHO IS ARQAM?
Silo only spoke of him once:
> "Arqam was the only Frame who believed in pain as history.
He built the Bone Frame from memories. He didn't erase — he collected."
> "Is he dangerous?" Rafi had asked.
> "He's worse. He tells the truth."
---
🕳 JOURNEY INTO THE PIT
Rafi followed the map through waterlogged underlevels, passing broken mausoleums of old AI servers and glitched archive halls.
Eventually, he reached a sealed gate — marked only by a skull and a quote:
> "You are not what you remember.
You are what survives forgetting."
The retinal vial opened it.
He entered.
---
🧓 ARQAM — THE LIVING ARCHIVE
A man stood at the far end of the library.
Tall. Gaunt. Wires trailing from his spine.
One eye — real. The other — a rotating lens.
> "Rafi," he said without turning.
"The boy who inherited Shohan's silence."
> "You knew him?" Rafi asked.
> "I buried his mind. Twice."
> "You're the last Frame."
> "No," Arqam said.
"I'm the first man who refused to become one."
---
🤝 THE OFFER
Arqam gestured to a hollow sphere — filled with a neural swirl of lights.
> "This is a memory shell," he said.
"It can't be hacked. Can't be cloned. Only read — by one soul."
> "What's inside?"
> "The truth Shohan deleted before he died."
> "Why give it to me?"
> "Because the city doesn't need a leader now."
"It needs a witness."
Rafi stepped closer.
> "What do you want in return?"
Arqam smiled faintly.
> "Just a promise."
> "That you won't lie."
---
🧠 THE SHELL OPENS
Rafi touched it.
It pulsed.
It burned.
It screamed.
And then — images.
Shohan, bleeding in a tunnel.
Silo's voice saying, "Pull it now, or they'll get your head."
Echo, crying. Holding a child.
And finally:
> Shohan, recording a message not for Rafi…
But for someone else.
> "If he survives, don't tell him what I really did.
Let him believe I was a better man.
He'll need that fire."
— Shohan
---
🥀 THE COST OF TRUTH
Rafi collapsed.
Tears. Rage.
Shohan wasn't perfect. He made a choice. He sacrificed a thousand minds in the Mindless collapse — including Echo's family — to save the city.
> "He lied to me," Rafi whispered.
> "He lied to everyone," Arqam said.
"That's how revolutions survive."
---
🕯 END SCENE — BACK ABOVE
Rafi walked out of the Bone Frame vault holding the memory shell.
He didn't upload it.
He didn't destroy it.
He just carried it.
Because truth…
Is heavier than any weapon.
