Back in Enrico's dorm, he placed Valença and Danyana on his bed; both were asleep. It was quite easy to return to the dorm because he simply sent his fire clone and switched positions, besides the distance between the party and the dorm wasn't even that big.
'I think they'll only wake up tomorrow.'
[I can't believe you're doing this]
The system he had turned off a few hours ago appeared again; of course he wouldn't let the constellations or that system see what was happening.
'Why the frustration? If you like any of them, know that they are my wives, so don't even try.'
[That's not it, you just look like an animal. Besides, I don't even like humans, so what you said doesn't make sense.]
Switching places with his clone again, Enrico returned to the room. Fixing the bed and everything that was messy such as the table, he closed the bedroom door and walked back to the party, adjusting his clothes on the way.
'You don't like humans? Now it makes sense that you want to see me struggle.'
[It's not me who wants to see you struggle, it's the constellations.]
'For me, you're the same as them. I still remember how long you take to give me my pacts.'
[I already told you it's those bastards who get in my way most of the time. Please don't blame me for that.]
Seeing the system getting down, Enrico decided to stop teasing it. Even if they were still sarcastic with each other, it had been nearly three years since they were together, so yes, he had grown attached to it.
'Alright, then the one who'll receive my wrath won't be you, it'll be them.'
[…Haha, I knew that if I showed sadness you would back down.]
'Damn it, you tricked me.'
A dead look appeared on Enrico's face as he imagined himself breaking the system in half with a demonic smile on his face.
'From now on I'll make my sarcasm even worse.'
[Hahaha— wait, what do you mean? Hey, stop imagining breaking me in half!]
After speaking with Virelle, who was drinking with the other teachers about heavier training, Enrico left after thanking her for coming to his birthday, being watched by the teachers and by Virelle herself.
"He came to talk to you just for that?"
"Well, he is my disciple. If it weren't like that, I wouldn't have chosen him."
Even though he had done what she wanted, like asking for increased training, something irritated her a lot.
'This disciple dares not spend time with his teacher on his own birthday? He shouldn't just thank me; he should stay until the end.'
Taking another sip of her drink, she thought about making his training even harsher than what was requested. She wanted to see if from now on he would repeat that kind of behavior toward his teacher.
Distancing himself from Professor Virelle, Enrico felt a chill down his back that for others would be bad, but for him it was a good feeling, because his intuition told him his training would be to his liking.
"The professor must really want to help me."
[To me, her look said something else.]
Enrico proudly scratched his nose for his teacher as he opened the hall door. Inside, he saw everything in chaos, with the girls searching for him everywhere.
"How do you not know where the subordinate is? Aren't you a guard?"
"I'm sorry Lady Serenya—"
"If something happens to my Ketsumei, this will all be your fault."
Seeing the guard with a frightened expression, Enrico went to help the poor girl who was being bullied by those selfish demonesses.
"Sorry for disappearing, it's my fault."
Enrico appeared like a hero in front of the guard, who felt emotional that a new cannon fodder had arrived in her place. Bringing her hands together, she prayed for him when he was dragged to the special table with a certain anger on the girls' faces.
'Thank you, dear cannon fodder. I hope you don't get too hurt.'
Putting him in the chair, Serenya sat in front of him with Seraphina and Rina at the opposite sides. Yumeha, who wanted to get closer, was being blocked by Aoi, who was the one assigned to guard him to make sure she wouldn't get too close.
"You disappeared for five hours. You should be spending time with your leader on such an important day."
"Enrico, you better explain properly. I'm already very annoyed that Yumeha was your first time. You know how selfish I am."
"Ketsumei, you know I don't want to fight with you, but for that I need an explanation about why I wasn't— I mean, why you disappeared."
While Serenya and Seraphina were feeling that something had happened today, Rina wanted to know other things.
[Ha! If they find out, you'll be—]
"Valença and Danyana pushed me into a room and we spent some time alone."
Enrico's shameless expression left the system stunned. How was it possible for this guy to have so much courage, or in its thoughts, be such an idiot to say that? Even Aoi, Yumeha, and the others froze. Serenya immediately slammed the table.
"They did WHAT?"
"They pushed me into a room and did sinful things to me."
[Wait, you—]
'Am I lying?'
Finally, the system realized the most important thing: Enrico hadn't actually done anything wrong, since it wasn't his fault. He simply accepted something his future wives had asked to do. Serenya, as always, was the first to explode.
"Those DAMNED girls!"
"I can't believe Danyana, who arrived today, already passed ahead of me. Ketsumei, I want to expel her."
Rina had a tearful face, holding his arm and rocking side to side. Enrico knew he had to do something so they wouldn't be so angry.
"I know you're mad."
"Mad? Master, to me they should get double my punishment."
"Shut up, girl from Tsuyokuni. You shouldn't address my subordinate today."
While Serenya pointed at Yumeha, he exchanged a look with Aoi, who seemed disappointed. When she saw his look, her own eyes seemed to sparkle.
"Girls, I think my dear wants a way to compensate us."
Hearing Aoi's words, they looked at Enrico. Taking a simple breath, he raised his hand in a challenging gesture.
"As an apology, you can call me whenever you want, wherever you want, and at any time you ask."
[You're insane.]
With their eyes widening in surprise, they looked at one another. They were all tired of Yumeha's attitude, and Valença would surely do the same tomorrow. Their eyes gleamed in threatening intent, and they agreed mentally.
"We want it today."
"You better not get tired."
[These girls are crazy, Enrico run, you can't win.]
'No, I win.'
Enrico's confident expression only made the system conclude that he truly was the craziest person it had ever seen. Ending the day like that was strange—very strange—and to say the least, Enrico found it quite fun, especially when teasing the others.
"Where is Enrico?"
Meanwhile, the rest of the class—like Kai, Sylvia, Elian, among others—were playing monster cards at a table, wondering about the whereabouts of their friend.
