Name: Sacri, Nartheis rank Ranvil level one maximum
Magic: disease
Unique ability: Triplets — when close to his two brothers, the user temporarily evolves into a low level two Ranvil.
Rina was a circle five, so she was truly at the same level as Sacri even with his unique ability activated. The problem was that he was receiving help from his two brothers, who should have been in their own rooms.
"Are you going to show yourselves, or are you so scared that you'll let your brother fight two people at the same time? Just some advice—if that happens, he dies."
Enrico helped Aoi get up, patting her clothes a few times to remove the dust. Right after that, he tidied her up a bit, making Aoi show a happy expression at the care her dear one was showing her.
"You held up well against the three."
Aoi turned her attention back to the enemy and saw two figures coming out from behind a wall. One of them had the same appearance as Sacri, but his color was black and his eyes were white.
Name: Meria, Nartheis rank Ranvil level two
Magic: cursed blessing
Unique ability: Second triplet — when close to his two brothers, the user can enhance the abilities of all three, forcing a transformation on their bodies.
"I didn't know someone could notice my unique ability being used."
Enrico snorted with a small smile. He knew this because his body had evolved so much that he could feel when something different happened around them. It was as if his senses had become greater than they should be.
'Well, it's possible that Victoria can reach this too if she works hard.'
[Don't you think these ultra senses are kind of annoying? They take away the surprise you could have had when discovering things on your own.]
'You only think it's annoying because I gained an advantage through my own efforts.'
Seeing these two opponents in front of him, he decided to ignore them and focus on the one who would be the most troublesome here. The third Nartheis in front of him was the most monstrous. His color was dark red with black eyes, his mouth was vertical and opened from the chin to the middle of the face, filled with long, uneven teeth that looked like they were made of living metal. His shoulders had two extra arms, deformed and partially fused to the torso, moving on their own as if they had a will of their own.
Name: Merta, Nartheis rank Ranvil high level two
Magic: disease
Unique ability: Third triplet — when his brothers are out of combat, his power increases by twenty percent for each of them.
"You're weird… no offense."
"No offense taken, I like being looked at with terror."
"Since that's the case, my words are meant to offend."
The two stared at each other without expression, surprising their companions with that brief exchange of words.
'Great, we found someone worse than our brother.'
'Is this Nartheis trying to copy my dear's expression? He'll regret it.'
Without saying another word, the two vanished from everyone's sight, and a shockwave began to appear everywhere. Enrico and Merta exchanged blows with pure physical strength, one wanting to test the opponent's level and the other just having fun before using his magic to kill him. Clenching his fist, Enrico took a punch to the face and returned it with even greater force, making Merta retreat.
"As I thought, Merta has a good physique. He's managing to land solid blows on me even without using magic."
'This human has a better physique than mine?'
Since his enemy was not using magic, Enrico decided to start raising the level of the fight. He was not here to waste time. Using charged impulse magic along with fire steps, he activated his best movement magic, created while running through the castle in search of more opponents.
"Charged Steps."
With a movement of at least 0.001, Enrico landed a kick that sent Merta flying out of the room, crashing through several castle walls. Meria descended with both fists at the same time, the cursed blessing wrapping around her arms like a distorted layer pulsing in dark tones.
'This might hurt a little.'
Enrico crossed his forearms at the last instant, the impact pushing him downward and causing the ground to crack in concentric circles. He slid back a few meters, using fire on his feet to reduce the drag, while Aoi dealt with Sacri on the other side of the partially destroyed room. Noticing a purple glow appearing in Aoi's pocket, Enrico opened his eyes in surprise.
"Sisaka?"
[What is this girl doing here? Is she crazy?]
Sisaka emerged from inside Aoi's pocket and advanced with precise cuts, trying to keep Sacri under constant pressure. Sacri's disease magic spread through the air in almost invisible particles, forcing her to keep her breathing controlled and her body in motion. Sacri retreated only as much as necessary, leaving small openings that were never truly safe for the surprised opponent who had just appeared. Each wrong step made the ground feel heavier, as if something were slowly draining her vitality.
Aoi appeared from the sides, attacking with quick movements, forcing Sacri to split his attention. She didn't know why that girl had been hidden in her pocket, but it was better to take advantage of the situation.
"Girl, I hope you can keep up with me."
"But of course, I came to impress my teacher."
"Wait, are you another one who wants my dear? Know that you'll have to convince m—"
With a quick movement, Sacri kicked Aoi away while she was distracted. The distant presence of his brothers kept his body in an elevated state, his muscles reacting better than they should, so the force of the blow was high.
Sisaka appeared behind him and struck his shoulder, tearing a piece away with her spiritual katana, but Sacri responded by spreading disease across the ground, creating an unstable area that forced her to retreat.
'I can't believe I didn't notice her… what about my ultra senses?'
[Maybe it's some special magic of hers.]
On the other side, Enrico advanced against Meria, alternating between direct punches and short displacements. Meria kept up, her feet barely touching the ground as her body moved in a strange way, as if it didn't fully respect normal anatomy.
"You won't be able to hit me, human. I'm the fastest among us."
One of Meria's blows hit Enrico's flank, breaking through part of his defense and drawing a restrained grunt from him. He answered with a fire-reinforced punch, striking the Nartheis's face and making his head turn to the side. Seeing the surprised expression of his enemy, Enrico smiled sarcastically.
"Oops, looks like I hit."
