Chapter 367 - Heart of Fire

After finishing transferring part of his percentage to Kaela and Erina, he stayed a bit longer to watch the three of them fight as they took revenge on Sisaka.

"You damn liar, how dare you say you evolved on your own when the professor helped you?"

"That's right, as punishment you're going to get beaten up."

"You may have reached the sixth circle, but I still have the advantage in time."

Sisaka did everything she could to dodge the combined attacks of the two while Enrico cruelly enjoyed the dispute.

'I'd like to watch a bit more, but I need to train.'

[You're going to leave the three of them arguing like this?]

'Yes, besides, Sisaka deserves this situation for provoking this rivalry even more these days.'

It got to the point that even Erina, who usually stayed behind, wanted to strangle her. Standing up, he watched the last exchange of blows, trying to find some openings in her movements to comment on later.

'Kaela is using too many movements, something that's only possible because her mana is very large, I'll comment on that later…'

Erina, on the other hand, was the complete opposite; she used few movements in the best possible way to try to spend less energy.

'The only problem is that she moves far too slowly… I'll do special training for her to increase her speed even while wearing earth armor.'

Now Sisaka was possibly the most balanced, as she always had been. Her movements were fluid and natural as she narrowly dodged the blows of the two. The training he would give her had already been given, so it was better to wait for her level to increase a bit more before commenting on some other spells.

'I'll focus her training on improving the abilities she already has; if I mention other spells, she could injure herself irreparably.'

[That could be bad considering you want her as an ally to face them.]

Walking out of the field, Sisaka, who was getting tired, asked for help, but he simply raised his hand wishing her good luck. Activating the steps of fire, he moved quickly to the personal training room he used with Virelle.

'Now it's time for my training.'

[Are you going to try that technique again?]

'Yes, I'm already close to completing it.'

Sitting down, Enrico crossed his legs and closed his eyes; it was time to complete the Heart of Fire technique that he himself had been wanting to create for some time. Concentrating mana in his heart, a small mana heart lit up inside.

"Now faster."

A fire appeared surrounding the six magic circles. With a pulse, his mana heart began to follow the rhythm of his heartbeat. Both were in perfect sync, beating faster and faster.

"And finally return to normal."

With a careful sigh, both hearts, still in sync, beat in a normal way while all six magic circles around combined with that fire and turned completely red. Opening his eyes, Enrico raised his arm in celebration before falling backward, completely drenched in sweat from the fire magic that heated him more than his resistance could handle.

"I did it."

"Congratulations, you really created a good technique to evolve."

A shadow covered Enrico's face; when he opened his eyes, he saw Virelle holding some recovery potions. She had a small proud smile on her face. Standing up, he quickly drank the potions to recover.

"Well, it was a bit difficult because of the heat that warmed even my blood almost to evaporation; if I hadn't taken potions, I'd be screwed."

"Well, that won't happen anymore since you completed it, right?"

"Yes, this technique can be used by other people, they just need to combine it with their magic and follow the instructions well so they don't suffer the secondary effects I had."

"And the first people you'll teach it to will be your companions."

He confirmed with a nod; now that everything was fine, he could pass it on to them without worrying about hindering his friends' power development.

"Actually, the first person I taught was you, who must have noted everything I did over the last few days."

"Heh, it seems my disciple caught me."

Just like Enrico, she had been testing this technique since he showed it to her over the last few days. Virelle had been thinking about developing this technique to pass it on to him later, and she had completed it last night, but when she came to teach him, she realized it was already complete.

'I can't lie that I'm disappointed about not teaching him… but at least now I'll be able to continue my training that was paused over the last few days with him.'

In addition, she had learned a good technique that would help her reach the ninth circle since she was close to it, but it was a surprise she would keep to impress her disciple later.

"Professor, I'd like to ask if you could look for information on three people."

"But of course, just tell me who they are."

She replied almost instantly; this would be the first time he asked her to look for something and would demonstrate what an eighth-circle mage was capable of.

"You must have already seen two of them; they are two students from other academies that I want to recruit along with one person you don't know."

"Recruit? For what?"

"It will be a special team of mine; you just need to find these three since I already know where the other two I was thinking of are."

With Virelle's final nod, he spoke the names, surprising her a bit, because to her those two students were not that impressive even though they were ranked first in their respective academies; as for the other one, she knew a little about him being a prodigy who disappeared years ago.

"All right, my disciple, finding these people will be very easy."

"Thank you, professor."

"But tell me, Enrico, while I do this, what do you plan to do in the meantime?"

"I'll fulfill my role as Elowyn's support on the royal mission and prepare for graduation."

Placing her hand on her chin, Virelle realized that it really was close to the time her students would leave. She couldn't lie that she felt a tightness in her heart; she would certainly miss teaching them, but she would still have Enrico.

'I think I should organize a nice farewell party for them for our years together.'
