A hundred townsmen each held a tool in hand, and were driving several draft horse carts.
Upon seeing their Lord leave, their eyes instantly gleamed with bright light.
Surprise, excitement, admiration, reverence...
Lynn glanced at them, taking in all their expressions.
He spoke, "Perhaps you don't know why I've chosen to leave you hunderd people behind."
"What you're going to do next relates to the entire territory and to all the townsmen who have sacrificed and contributed to the territory."
The hundred townsmen grew increasingly puzzled.
Lynn continued, "I'm going to take you to the edge of the mountain range, to quarry large blocks of stone and create a monument statue!"
"The names of those unfortunate sacrificed townsmen will be engraved on the monument, to be remembered by the living and future generations!"
Upon hearing this, the doubt on the townsmen's faces instantly vanished.
They recalled what Master Lynn said that night in the dining hall.
