The very beginning of all this can be traced back to the Rashamon Sea.
Back then, Wen Jiu and his wife also went in, and managed to obtain some treasures from within, enough even for Wen Jiu to attempt an impact on the Peak of Core Formation.
But it was precisely these treasures that stirred others' greed.
At first it was still fine—only that his position within the Black and White Divine Hall was suddenly adjusted, transferring him to patrol beyond the city walls.
This in itself was still acceptable; at least at the beginning Wen Jiu didn't sense anything amiss.
But before long, Yan Lanlan was also transferred.
This made Wen Jiu, who had steeped in the Black and White Divine Hall for more than half his life, immediately sense that something was wrong, and sure enough, he didn't have to wait long before the second incident occurred.
In the sector he patrolled, a major event took place.
