'It's been two months since the start of the school year which means Skel or Po from the original might end up dating Princess Alexia atleast it isn't me though' as if lady luck said fuck you to Chloé in particular she got tapped on the shoulder by none other than Princess Alexia Midgar herself.
"I was wondering if you'd maybe like to go out with me?" Chloé was internally promising Alexia's downfall meanwhile on the outside it was her ever present dead pan expression. Unfortunately for Alexia she got hit with the kuudere's ultimate technique the "several second small smile" piercing Alexia's heart.
"Please take care of me then..." still giving the shy kuudere special Chloé then takes Alexia's hand gracefully looking like the happiest school girl ever. This rare show of emotion made every boy, and girl around not jealous no as a former man herself Chloé tugged at the heartstrings of every man there with the ultimate trump card "wholesome yuri romance" a thing young men fantasize about constantly or so Chloé's extremely educated opinion deduced on this fact.
(2 weeks later)
'That damn wiki better be correct because this Princess is vile. I wish I could kill her myself! That damn bitch blackmailed me just like Cid! I didn't even do anything wrong! Her only reason was because I'm "fake" like she doesn't pretend to be a kind princess!'
While she was internally whining her outer exterior was it's typical kuudere self while Alexia was acting like the perfect girlfriend. After passing by Zenon aka being dragged past they finally left school grounds and Alexia's mask immediately vanished.
"Ugh! I can't believe that fake bastard! Right pooch?" Unable to hold it in any more an exasperated sigh escaped Chloé's lips. "Do you ever stop? While I understand why you don't trust him, letting the guy live rent free in your head... won't solve anything except make you stress out more. You should just ignore him completely. That's if you'd take stock in my advice. Unfortunately you don't."
Alexia growled in annoyance. "Like you could understand how I feel!" Unable to shut up anymore Chloé spoke.
"What do you actually know about me Alexia? Nothing. And you certainly don't know my upbringing because I also have a super talented big sister or did you decide to ignore that fact? I wasn't always this good. How did I get good?
I decided to relearn swordsmanship from the ground up without magic. I did this for both arms mind you then I relearned it again from square one with magic in the equation. After relearning swordsmanship four times and countless years of being in Claire's shadow I developed my own technique through active combat.
Have you ever committed that much effort or simply pray one day you'd be as good as Iris? Because I was there but unlike you I got sick of being weak, sick of the constant comparisons, sick of not being seen as Chloé. So I did something. You should too. You're clearly so jaded by the comparisons you became an ass.
So stop your whining and actually do something about it because unlike everyone else I do understand quite well. That feeling of insignificance, the feeling there is no point because nothing will change. That's it isn't it? That's what you should work on first because that mindset is awful for actual tangible improvement. You first should believe you can before you try.
Hell if I can then you definitely can I'll even help you no charge... actually no I do want basic respect but that's besides the point. Anyway I'm sorry I shouldn't have gotten all heated there your highness."
Alexia while hurt by the words realized all to late. Chloé was like her. So now with a much calmer tone. "I think I'm going to walk back alone today, I have alot to think about. And Chloé... I'm sorry I genuinely didn't know."
Waving her hand dismissively Chloé looks directly into Alexia's eyes. "Apology accepted." Alexia turns around to walk away Chloé says one final thing. "Oh yeah, one last thing Alexia. Stay safe alright?" Alexia nods before walking away and that's when Chloé gets in the train.
(Next Day)
While on her way to school Chloé happened to bump into Olivia from Death's Daughter and the Ebony Blade, Cassian the one who looks similar to Yuichiro Hyakuya from Seraph of the End, and the Arthur Pendragon lookalike Alexander.
Upon nearing the school's front gate Zenon approached with a small battalion of Dark Knights. As he did Chloé's morbid curiosity made her look at the three next to her and all three had the same zeal in their eyes she saw in members of the Cult of Diablos who's mind was to far gone.
'It's unfortunate that I'll have to kill them. They seem to desperately want out somewhere deep down but the control on their mind ain't going anywhere. It's unfortunate but it seems that's how it's gonna be.'
Zenon finally reached Chloé and spoke. "Princess Alexia didn't return to her dorm last night, as the last one seen with her you're the most likely suspect. I assume you'll come along quietly, Chloé Kagenou?" Chloé immediately raises her hands in surrender.
