Even unwilling as it was, Nergigante could only charge downward, under the good-luck-to-you gazes of the two Velkhana.
On the ground, Logan and Shara Ishvalda had already begun a new round of entanglement. Although Logan had not disengaged from combat—meaning his Regeneration was no longer as exaggerated as before—along with the growth of his overall strength, that same regenerative ability had likewise grown stronger. Even without disengaging, it still displayed recovery capabilities far surpassing those of ordinary Disaster-level Elder Dragons.
Nergigante evaded one wave after another of residual combat shock and successfully forced its way into the interior of the battlefield.
The moment it appeared, both Logan and Shara Ishvalda noticed it immediately.
But at this moment, Shara Ishvalda had to simultaneously deal with ever-present Terastal detonations, guard against Logan's breath attacks, and also find a way to destroy the Terastal ground beneath its feet in order to re-establish a connection with the Everstream.
No matter how adept it was at multitasking, every part of its body that could be used for offense and defense was already fully committed. There was truly no spare capacity to free up two wing bones specifically to deal with Nergigante. It could only adjust the range and direction of its vibration waves to include Nergigante within the attack.
Logan's purpose in having Nergigante come down was very simple: he hoped Nergigante could, like the Ruiner Nergigante during the Xeno'jiiva subjugation, use its own body to restrain Shara Ishvalda's movements.
There was no need for more—just entangle the opponent, and that would be enough to give Logan the opportunity to deliver a fatal blow!
Therefore, after determining Nergigante's position, Logan no longer bothered to hold back out of fear of Shara Ishvalda's monstrous strength. He chose an even more dangerous fighting style, throwing himself directly into the fray. While creating a clear path for Nergigante to approach, he also placed even greater pressure on Shara Ishvalda.
With this, the battle between both sides grew even more intense. The entire small island trembled continuously under the clash, faintly showing signs of sinking.
"ROAR!!"
"AOOO!"
The thunderous dragon roars overlapped without yielding to one another. Whether it was Shara Ishvalda or Logan, under such fierce contention, both sides had to a certain extent abandoned defense, striving only to inflict the greatest possible damage on the other.
In the sky, the clouds that had originally gathered due to constant alternations of cold and heat were scattered by the aftershocks of the battle.
Sensing the disturbance, large marine monsters from the surrounding sea that had hoped to come over and see if there was any advantage to be gained were crushed into pools of blood by the shockwaves before they could even perceive the oppressive presence of an Elder Dragon, drifting away with the waves.
For a moment, the area around Origin Isle seemed to become a forbidden zone of life. Even the two Velkhana in the sky had to keep dodging nonstop—and even then, it was thanks to the volcanic-glass battle skirts they had hastily made in their optimal state, which blocked a fair portion of the damage for them.
If it had been ordinary Elder Dragons, they would have already started withdrawing from this area due to their injuries.
But suddenly, the continuous explosions came to an abrupt halt after a deafening boom, and even the unceasing vibration waves vanished without a trace.
Below, Logan and Shara Ishvalda exchanged breath attacks at close range, and the resulting explosion directly blasted both sides backward.
With its sturdier physique, Shara Ishvalda shook its head—dazed from the impact—then squinted one eye as it prepared to continue pursuing Logan, only to be slammed to the ground by Nergigante, who had successfully charged over under Logan's cover.
Before it could use its wing bones to counterattack, Nergigante went wild—one paw gripping a wing bone in a death lock, its jaws clamped onto one of its arms, anchoring itself firmly in front of Shara Ishvalda.
Its wings flared and strained madly, using every last bit of strength to pin Shara Ishvalda to the ground.
If Shara Ishvalda wanted to attack it, it would have to extend its wing bones forward first.
Shara Ishvalda did exactly that—and it launched its attack.
Nergigante's vajra thorns didn't hold for long before being shattered. All the remaining damage landed squarely on its back.
Even as flesh and blood flew, Nergigante's eyes were bloodshot as it kept its bite locked on Shara Ishvalda, refusing to let go.
It knew that Logan definitely wouldn't waste this chance it was buying with its life!
And because of the head-on clash, with a slight disadvantage in size and having been blasted farther away, Logan was now completely awake.
In his eyes, there was no Nergigante being attacked—only Shara Ishvalda, struggling incessantly, trying to rise!
His mind sank fully into the underground Terastal domain.
From the moment the domain formed, it had been continuously receiving Logan's energy infusion, and it had connected to the Everstream nodes to draw in Everstream energy, steadily strengthening itself. In that instant, the Terastal domain erupted into agitation.
All energy converged at high speed, and under Logan's control, it condensed beneath Shara Ishvalda's body.
The Merciful Eye Carapace could sense, from behind, that solidified and massive energy—so immense it made one tremble. A trace of panic surfaced in Shara Ishvalda's crazed pupils.
It no longer bothered with removing Nergigante at the smallest cost.
It directly drove its flexible wing bones into the gap between its chest and Nergigante. Even though it would suffer backlash from its own attack, it still launched a vibration wave without hesitation.
With that, Nergigante—already near its limit—could no longer hold on and was blasted away, spraying blood as it was sent flying.
Shara Ishvalda rapidly drew its wing bones inward, scrambling as it propped itself up and tried to retreat from where it stood.
But it was already too late!
Amid Logan's furious roar, the energy within his body surged at an unimaginable rate—one that even exceeded the short-term energy release threshold of a conventional Disaster-level Elder Dragon. That energy was absorbed in its entirety, without the slightest loss, by the Terastal domain, and then gathered beneath Shara Ishvalda's feet.
The next instant—
Like a blade being drawn from its sheath!
A colossal crimson Terastal pillar erupted from the ground. Its base had a radius approaching twenty meters, while its razor-sharp tip gleamed with a scarlet glow, wrapped in black-red lightning.
Carrying an unstoppable momentum, it struck Shara Ishvalda, which had no time to escape.
The absurd growth speed and absolute force hurled Shara Ishvalda high into the sky.
After growing to a full one hundred and fifty meters, the energy conduits flowing along the entire "sword spine" successfully converged all energy at the tip.
With its skin pierced by the sharp "sword tip," driven into muscle, its breastbone shattered and the blade wedged into the gaps between its bones, Shara Ishvalda trembled as it mobilized the wing bones behind it, attempting to trigger vibrations to destroy this extremely special Terastal pillar.
Only—
"Precipice Blades!!"
All the energy of the entire Terastal domain, concentrated at the sword's tip, detonated in an instant.
Sound could no longer be heard!
Only a piercing, incessant hum echoed on.
The explosion itself could no longer be seen.
There was only a vast expanse of blinding white light, illuminating everything in all directions.
The Cliffside Sword, formed by mixing four different energy attributes in an extremely exacting ratio to maximize its power, and then converting its subsequent damage into instantaneous damage through the Sheer Force trait—
Although it was Logan's replicated Monster Hunter–style Terastal version, its might had already surpassed what any organism within the ecological hierarchy could possibly withstand.
There was no wail, nor any superfluous movement.
When everything finally settled, Shara Ishvalda's shattered, barely dragon-shaped corpse crashed heavily down. A massive hollow pierced straight through its chest, torn muscle completely vaporized, leaving only half a body to return to the embrace of nature.
And the vast bioenergy within its body also detonated in midair in that final explosion, scattering across the seas of the New World.
