Chapter 173 - Chapter 164 — A Detective from a Lower Narrative?

No… He Is the Supreme God**

Leon Lake's quiet remark made Director August freeze.

He assumed Leon meant Dr. Tamar's rude behavior earlier…

But everyone in the Marvel world already understood—

Leon was referring to the containment of SCP-3143.

---

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters

Nick Fury stared hard at the feed — at Leon's calm eyes.

He suddenly wished a narrator would pop up and explain what Leon was thinking.

"What exactly is he seeing that we're not?"

He knew Leo Murphy wouldn't be defeated so easily…

Yet Dr. Tamar clearly held the advantage.

For now.

---

TIME SKIP — Two Months Later

The screen resumed.

Dr. Tamar walked past Leon with an arrogant swagger.

"Today is the final interview. After this, the O5 Council will approve the containment measures."

Leon nodded politely.

"Congratulations, Dr. Tamar."

"…"

The compliment landed like a punch in cotton. Tamar scowled but marched into the interview room.

Inside, Murphy Luden sat calmly in the chair.

No fear. No confusion.

As if he had accepted his fate.

Click.

Dr. Tamar stepped in.

"Good morning, Mr. Luden."

"No breakfast today. Want to talk?"

Murphy replied coldly.

"No."

Tamar smiled smugly.

"And I understand you've tried continuing the story of SCP-3143."

"Until you took away my pencil."

Tamar's grin stretched wider — fake as ever.

"For your safety, Mr. Luden. Until we fully understand your anomaly, we can't allow you to—"

"Oh, shut up. You think my writing is trash."

"I never said that."

"But you're thinking it, aren't you?"

"I wouldn't call it 'trash,'" Tamar lied smoothly.

Murphy leaned forward, voice sharp.

"Why stop the story? What's wrong with it? He saves people. It's interesting. It matters."

"That's irrelevant. We can't allow anomalies runni—"

"Oh please. This isn't about containment.

It's about a story you don't like.

Because it's not your story."

That made Tamar flinch.

"I don't know what you're implying."

Murphy's stare sharpened.

"I know exactly what you're doing."

The livestream audience froze.

What was happening?

Suddenly—

The detective was in control.

Murphy pointed right at Tamar's face:

"You hide behind scientific vocabulary — titles — 'interview transcripts' —

to create distance. To sound authoritative. To make nonsense feel credible."

"W-wait—!"

"You decorate your lies with jargon.

Hoping people won't realize the truth."

"St-stop—!!"

"But in the end, it's the same game —

a scam pretending to be structure."

---

Reality Distorts

The livestream gasped—

The real-world Foundation site began twisting—

The clean walls smeared into charcoal shading…

Colors drained into black-and-white ink strokes…

The entire world flattened.

The upper reality sank…

collapsing into a lower narrative.

All because Leo Murphy spoke.

---

The chat exploded:

> "WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?"

"He dragged the entire Foundation into a STORY!"

"Containment?

Nah. This is a GOD rewriting reality."

"Pataphysics is TERRIFYING."

---

S.H.I.E.L.D.

Natasha's eyes widened.

"He compressed upper reality into a narrative…"

Nick Fury exhaled slowly.

"Yes. A forced transition of the world's… ontological layer."

"Leon Lake was right…"

> A pataphysical entity is never truly contained.

---

Kamar-Taj

Even the Ancient One stared in disbelief.

She once thought Murphy was merely a detective with a gimmick.

She had underestimated him.

Terribly.

In the lower narrative —

he is the author.

Her expression darkened.

"If he dragged me into his story…

even I would lose."

---

Observer Dimension

Uatu the Watcher clutched the arms of his throne.

"This is no mere anomaly…"

"A being who can flatten higher reality into fiction…

is a threat even to me."

His voice trembled.

"He doesn't just break the fourth wall—

he erases it."

---

Leo Murphy: Detective?

No—

He is the Supreme Narrator.

And the story has only begun.
