The silver wing carried an immense amount of Flying-type energy.
Even a fragment of it was enough to grant something like twenty Pidgeot the ability to control the wind. And this was a complete silver wing.
On top of that, Lin Feng only planned to create specialized dishes suited for Dragonite and Salamence. After all, both were Dragon and Flying-type Pokémon.
Now it was just a matter of when Salamence would bring it up.
Whoosh… whoosh…
A strong wind swept through the garden.
Salamence and Dragonite descended from the sky, gradually lowering themselves to the ground. Since they had both shrunk their size, landing like this didn't disturb the flowers in the garden at all.
Dragonite ambled lazily to the reservoir and lay down by the edge, taking a slow drink.
Thanks to Milotic maintaining the water, the reservoir was crystal clear. At first, Lin Feng had set up designated drinking spots for each Pokémon. But over time, he realized some of the lazier ones simply ignored them. They would drink wherever was most convenient, whether from the canal or the reservoir. Eventually, he stopped insisting.
Especially for Alolan Ninetales and the Eevee.
Salamence looked a little dejected. There was still some dust clinging to its face. It glanced at Lin Feng, opened its mouth as if to speak, then thought better of it. Holding its breath, it walked over and began drinking as well.
They had just finished a battle and were both thirsty.
Not long after they returned, Alolan Ninetales came bounding back from the berry fields, full of energy, followed closely by the Eevee.
It was clear they had been fighting. Ninetales was covered in dirt, though no one knew exactly where it came from. It had obviously rinsed itself in water before coming back, then used its Ice-type abilities to freeze and shake off the moisture. Even so, its fur looked messy and far from its usual fluffy elegance.
There were also streaks of dark residue on its body, possibly soot or something similar. Washing it hadn't helped. If anything, it had only spread the stains more evenly.
The moment they entered the garden and saw Lin Feng, they excitedly rushed toward him.
Before they could even greet him, his next sentence froze them in place.
"Alright. All four of you are getting a bath today."
"Bulbasaur?!"
Awu came to an abrupt stop. Of all of them, it hated baths the most.
But it also knew that once Lin Feng made up his mind, there was no changing it. If it skipped today, it wouldn't be allowed on the bed tonight.
"I already washed!"
Alolan Ninetales flicked its nine tails, trying to hide the dirt, putting on a brave face.
"You didn't wash properly. And you're still dirty. To avoid problems later, you're bathing now."
Lin Feng showed no mercy and walked straight toward it.
He even took out a Transform Pokéblock and held it up to its mouth. Since they were so large, bathing at full size wouldn't work well. Shrinking down made things much easier.
Ninetales still tried to resist.
Lin Feng delivered the final blow. "If you run, I'll have Gardevoir come catch you."
His own psychic power couldn't restrain Ninetales, but Gardevoir's certainly could.
With no other choice, Ninetales was dragged off unwillingly, followed by a group of Eevee with drooping ears.
As for Goomy, it happily tagged along at the end.
Hearing the commotion, Salamence lifted its head and glanced over.
After a moment of hesitation, it turned its gaze toward Dragonite.
Dragonite had just finished drinking and was about to head back for a nap, but halfway there, it was stopped by a shrunken Salamence calling out to it.
"Ang!"
"Ang?"
Dragonite slowed down mid-flight and turned its head curiously.
Salamence looked a bit awkward, which only confused Dragonite further.
"Ang?"
Then suddenly, Dragonite seemed to realize something.
"Ang?!"
Salamence nodded, flapping its wings as it flew closer, gesturing animatedly as it led Dragonite up into the sky above the garden, chattering nonstop.
This time, Dragonite finally seemed to understand.
But that only raised a new question.
"But we already have Gardevoir… and Mewtwo."
Salamence patiently guided it. "Mewtwo isn't here right now. And Gardevoir might not be able to beat that black dragon. So it has to be you. Besides, those bad guys might come back. If they find out we escaped, they could come here to catch us."
"They might come here?"
Dragonite felt something didn't quite add up.
Still, judging Salamence at face value was a mistake.
"So we need to get stronger?"
"Yes, exactly."
Salamence nodded eagerly, as if praising a teachable student.
"Find a trainer?"
"Yes, yes!"
Salamence nodded even more naturally now.
"Okay…"
Meanwhile, Lin Feng, who was busy bathing Alolan Ninetales and the others, had no idea Salamence was subtly manipulating Dragonite.
At that moment, he had just finished washing Ninetales' fur.
Looking at the thoroughly soaked fox, he nodded in satisfaction. "Go wait over there."
Ninetales stepped aside, feeling warm all over, clearly displeased. It was about to shake off the water—
"Don't shake!"
Lin Feng's voice stopped it instantly.
With a resigned sigh, Ninetales froze the moisture into fine ice crystals and gently shook them off instead.
After finishing with Ninetales, it was time for the three Eevee.
Strictly speaking, they could hardly be called ordinary Eevee anymore.
Whether in strength or size, they were already among the best of their kind.
All three had energy levels around level 30.
The first was A-Jiu. The other two were soaking in a basin of warm water, their fur floating lazily as they absentmindedly blew bubbles.
Feeling the warmth of the lather on its body and the gentle movements of its trainer's hands, A-Jiu couldn't help but ask:
"Bulbasaur?"
"When can I evolve?"
