The reason his pupils had suddenly contracted was actually quite simple.

Blastoise kept Gible pinned beneath it while chattering away with it.
After asking a whole bunch of questions, it turned around and explained everything to Qin Shu.
Then Qin Shu relayed the information to Lin Feng.
She grinned widely.
"Hahaha! It was attracted by your Energy Cubes!"
"It was that special one you specifically told me about, the Energy Cube that can strengthen a Pokémon's Ability energy!"
Her skin had become noticeably darker after spending so much time outdoors, which only made her teeth look even whiter whenever she grinned.
Lin Feng could not help thinking that her personality had not changed much at all.
[The Ability Energy Cube? You caught a new Pokémon today?]
Lin Feng asked.
The Ability Energy Cube naturally referred to the Dragon Fire Berry Energy Cubes Lin Feng had made previously.
They were SSS-grade Energy Cubes that could strengthen a Pokémon's Ability energy.
Last year, Salamence had consumed a large number of them in order to repair the old injuries within its body.
There had still been quite a few left afterward.
Most of the Pokémon at the Nursery had already eaten them before, and eating more did not provide much additional benefit.
Lin Feng still had some remaining.
Keeping them around was pointless, but selling them was equally inconvenient.
So when Qin Shu set out on her journey, he gave her a portion.
They were just sitting around anyway.
If he left them at home, he might eventually forget about them and they could spoil.
And he could not exactly take them to the Nursery and sell them.
So he simply gave them to Qin Shu to carry with her.
Whenever she captured a new Pokémon, she could feed one to it.

Cooking Effect 2: After a Dragon-type Pokémon consumes it for the first time, the enhancement provided by its stat-boosting moves will increase dramatically!
Cooking Effect 3: After a Fire-type Pokémon with the Blaze Ability consumes it for the first time, when its stamina is low but its fighting spirit remains high, the power of Blaze will become three times stronger than normal.
The first effect provided a substantial increase to the effectiveness of Dragon-type boosting moves.
The second enhanced the effect of the Blaze Ability after it activated.
The first was simply a direct amplification.
The second was different.
It actually strengthened the Blaze Ability itself.
In other words, for a short period of time, the Pokémon's Blaze Ability would become significantly more powerful.
However, during that period, the Pokémon would also consume stamina at an extremely accelerated rate.
Normally, Blaze only activated when a Pokémon was low on stamina or seriously injured.
This effect pushed that condition even further.
It could only be described as taking explosive power to its absolute limit without leaving itself any room for error.
But clearly, this Gible had not been attracted by that particular effect.
It was interested in the second cooking effect.
But...
This was a Gible.
Lin Feng remembered that neither Gible nor its evolved form, Garchomp, could naturally learn Dragon Dance.

If it could not learn Dragon Dance, what did it want this effect for?
Forget it.

For example, differences in lifestyle habits.
Differences in how they viewed food.
Differences in their approach to battling.
The Trainer would have to spend a considerable amount of time correcting these habits.
And they absolutely had to be corrected.
After all, Trainers lived in human settlements.
If Qin Shu really captured this Gible, she would have quite a bit of work ahead of her.
Sure enough, Gible initially appeared a little hesitant.
