Chapter 63: A Normal Day of Class
The next day, Aoi woke up with Rumi peacefully asleep on his chest, her long bunny ears draped softly over his shoulder and her breathing steady and calm. He gazed down at her for a moment, a small smile tugging at his lips as he thought: "Thank goodness this bed was made with special reinforced material—otherwise, there wouldn't even be dust left of it after last night. But I really appreciate this regeneration quirk of mine, or I'd be completely exhausted right now."
Careful not to disturb her, Aoi gently slid out from under her, making sure she stayed comfortable. He pulled the sheet up to cover her naked form, tucking it around her shoulders, and quietly left the bedroom, closing the door behind him with a soft click.
After a quick, refreshing shower, Aoi headed to the living room, drying his hair with a towel. He found Ryuko and Nemuri already there, both turning to look at him with knowing smiles—Ryuko at the kitchen counter preparing something, and Nemuri lounging on the couch in her casual home attire.
Aoi paused and asked:
"What's up? Why the looks?"
Nemuri replied innocently at first, but her eyes sparkled mischievously.
"It's nothing. It's just that my Aoi was working a lot yesterday, right?"
She leaned forward slightly, giving him a provocative look as she added:
"I want that kind of attention too, like a certain bunny got."
Aoi crossed his arms, amused.
"You talk as if you don't get attention."
Nemuri pouted playfully, striking a dramatic pose.
"So that means Aoi is going to attack his defenseless teacher?"
Aoi couldn't help but smile. He walked over, leaned down, and gave her a quick but affectionate kiss on the lips.
"You're already too late to say that, aren't you?"
Ryuko, shaking her head with a fond smile, placed the breakfast plates on the table—fresh eggs, toast, fruits, and coffee steaming invitingly.
"Well, you two, stop fooling around and let's have breakfast. After all, we have to head out soon."
Aoi grinned, suddenly jumping toward Ryuko and wrapping her in a big hug from behind, burying his face in her neck for a moment.
"Ryuko, thank goodness I have you in my life. Otherwise, I don't know what I'd do without you keeping everything together."
Ryuko blushed lightly but smiled warmly, turning in his arms to kiss him softly.
"Okay, okay. I know how much you love me. But let's eat breakfast now, or you'll be late for school."
They sat down together for a pleasant, relaxed meal—light conversation, laughter, and the comfortable routine of their shared home life filling the morning with warmth.
After breakfast, Aoi said his goodbyes—kissing each of them one more time—grabbed his keys, and headed out on his motorcycle. He revved the engine and sped toward school, the wind rushing past as he thought seriously: "Well, the first invasion is coming soon. I have to find a way to prevent Professor Aizawa from taking that brutal beating from the Nomu. After all, even though he's not the warmest person, he's still a dedicated teacher and a truly respectable hero. If I can help without changing too much, I don't mind stepping in."
The ride was quick, and after some time navigating the streets, Aoi finally arrived at U.A. High School. He slowed down as he approached the entrance gate, only to see it swarming with reporters—cameras flashing, microphones extended, a chaotic crowd pushing against the barriers.
Aoi let out a low whistle and muttered to himself:
"As expected from All Might. Just the rumor that he was going to teach here filled the place with reporters. Well, that's why I say it's impossible for him to have anything close to a normal life. Better hurry inside so I don't get scolded by my professor for being late."
Spotting an opening, Aoi activated his Soru technique in a blur of speed, appearing instantly on the other side of the gate, already deep inside the school grounds. He started walking casually toward the building just in time to hear the gate clang shut behind him, blocking a persistent reporter who had tried to sneak in. Aoi just sighed and continued on, thinking: "Well, you can't say they're not dedicated to their jobs, even if it's pretty annoying and invasive."
He made his way through the familiar halls and arrived at the classroom without further delay, slipping into his seat among the already gathering students.
Once settled, he looked around at the group and asked curiously:
"So, how was karaoke last night?"
Kaminari lit up immediately.
"It was awesome, man! You should've gone. We had a total blast—singing, laughing, the works."
Mina bounced in her seat excitedly.
"It was great! So much fun!"
Izuku smiled shyly, a genuine warmth in his voice.
"Well, it was the first time I went to something like a party with friends. It was really fun—I didn't expect it to feel that good."
Aoi turned slightly to Shoto, who was seated right behind him as usual, and asked:
"So, how was it for you? Did you like it?"
Shoto replied evenly, but with a hint of positivity.
"Well, it was good."
Aoi smiled approvingly.
"Well, good that you liked it. It's nice to have fun sometimes and set training aside a bit—you can't push yourself 24/7."
Shoto nodded subtly in confirmation, appreciating the sentiment.
At that moment, the door slid open, and Aizawa entered, his tired eyes scanning the room as his capture weapon scarf hung loosely around his neck.
"Quiet. Today I'm going to talk about yesterday's combat training."
The class fell silent as Aizawa addressed them directly, looking over the group.
"First, good job on yesterday's battle training overall. I analyzed your grades and individual evaluations thoroughly."
Aizawa then fixed his gaze on Bakugou and said sternly:
"Bakugou, your attitude harmed your team, causing it to lose. So I expect you to grow up and hold back when necessary. You have good potential. Don't waste it by letting your emotions control you. Understood?"
Bakugou grumbled reluctantly, avoiding eye contact.
"Understood."
Aizawa shifted his attention and said:
"Midoriya, it seems you broke another arm in the process."
Izuku tensed up nervously, fumbling for words under the scrutiny.
Aizawa continued without pause:
"It's not because we have someone with a healing quirk in the class that you can afford to get hurt all the time recklessly. Understood? Learn to control your individuality as quickly as possible to fix this recurring problem. You have real potential—you just need to solve these issues. Work hard, Midoriya."
Midoriya straightened up, determined.
"Yes, professor. I'll do my best."
Aizawa then turned to Uraraka.
"And you, Miss Uraraka, too. When you're in battle, it's no place to laugh or get distracted. Understood?"
Uraraka nodded quickly.
"Yes, professor."
Finally, Aizawa looked at Aoi.
"Aoi, I also observed the way you fought closely. I must say you're perfect in your use and control of your individuality—flawless execution. But you went overboard with that final blow. Since I know you've trained extensively to achieve that level of strength, you must be aware of how much damage that attack would have caused if it had actually connected with Shoto. I understand you just wanted to demonstrate your power to your brother, but be careful. You're a hero now. Your power shouldn't be used casually or for show. Understood?"
Aoi met his gaze respectfully.
"Yes, professor. I won't use my power randomly."
Aizawa nodded.
"Well, having said all that, now there's only one thing left to announce."
The class leaned forward slightly, waiting curiously for what he would say next.
Aizawa looked around the room and declared:
"You're going to choose the class president."
The class erupted briefly.
"What a normal school thing!"
But the surprise quickly turned to excitement as everyone started buzzing and discussing who should be the class president.
Mina raised her hand enthusiastically.
"I want to do it!"
Kaminari grinned.
"Me too. It seems fun."
Aoi watched the chaos unfold and sighed inwardly, thinking: "I'm out of this. The only kids I plan to take care of are my own future ones. The rest, I pass that responsibility to the next person."
Mina turned to him.
"Aoi, don't you want to be class president?"
Everyone looked at him curiously.
Bakugou smirked challengingly.
"If this idiot becomes president, I'll run against him."
Aoi shot back without hesitation.
"Fine. But who's going to vote for you, party confetti?"
Bakugou growled.
"What did you say, aquarium head?"
Aoi retorted coolly.
"Better than being a human firework."
Iida quickly stepped between them, arms chopping.
"Stop fighting! Everyone, it's time to choose the representative properly."
Aoi looked at the group and said calmly:
"Well, you can choose among yourselves. I don't plan to participate. I really don't have time for it. I have school all day. When I get home, I have my girlfriend to pay attention to. And on weekends, I still have work commitments. So it's impossible for me to have extra time for class president duties."
Kirishima scratched his head.
"So you're that busy, huh?"
Uraraka nodded understandingly.
"Well, he runs a giant company since he was little. So it's normal not to have time for extra stuff like this."
The others also nodded in agreement, seeing the logic.
Jiro asked:
"Well, then who will be the class representative?"
Aoi suggested:
"I think Iida is the best option. After all, he's the only person in the class who would actually be happy doing this job—and do it well."
Everyone, hearing this, looked at Iida and had to agree. After all, with his straight posture and enthusiastic personality, he was the only one here who truly looked and acted like a class representative.
After a short discussion and voting, they decided.
Aizawa then looked at Iida and Momo standing in front of the class and announced:
"So, the representative will be Iida, and his vice will be Yaoyorozu."
Iida faced the class with determination.
"Thank you for your trust, everyone. I won't disappoint you—I promise to lead us well."
Aoi, watching this unfold, thought quietly: "Iida is still a good guy, even though he's way too serious for his age. Well, when his brother gets hurt in the future, I'll heal him with my power if I can. It's a shame I can't prevent more from happening. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly where he is right now. Just like I don't know where that son of a bitch Kai Chisaki is hiding with Eri. I already asked Morgana to search thoroughly. It's just a matter of time until I find that bastard. So, Eri, just wait a little longer. I'm coming to get you. If it weren't for the fear of accidentally preventing her from being born by changing too much, I would've looked for her even sooner."
Mina, sitting beside him, noticed Aoi looking a bit down and asked gently:
"What's wrong, Aoi?"
Aoi forced a smile and replied:
"Well, it's nothing major. It's just not being able to make everything work out perfectly. There's always some setback or something I can't control yet."
Mina encouraged him.
"Well, then just keep trying, and you'll make it happen eventually."
Aoi's smile became more genuine.
"Well, thank you. I'll keep trying—no giving up."
