I arrive at the accountant's office, my heart thudding erratically. If I can prove my innocence here, then all this drama will be over.
I knock gently on his door, my heart beating with so much anticipation.
"Come in please."
I open the door at his words, and go inside. To my surprise, it's a new accountant. What happened to Mr. Grayson?
"Hello sir," I greet politely.
He looks in my direction, and arches a brow, "Yes? How may I help you?"
"Sir, I'm Lyanna Sanders, and I'm sure you have heard of the rumours flying about? That I embezzled money?"
His face goes blank, "Oh, Mr. Kael had filled me in? So you're Lyanna Sanders?"
"Yes sir."
"I know you're the only one who can prove my innocence. Please help me get out of this. I'm sure if you look through the paperwork and add things up, they probably won't make sense."
