Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: Bustling Prosperity Town.

The giant spiders looked menacing, but   upon closer inspection, their movements were stilted. This could be due to a variety of factors, including the fact that they hadn't yet adapted to their newfound power or the aftereffects of incomplete evolution. Bella wasn't a biological researcher, and she wasn't interested in this.

She hunted frantically, while the giant spiders, driven by instinct, mindlessly pounced, only to be killed one after another.

When only two spiders remained, they seemed to finally realize the strength of their foe. Survival instinct overwhelmed their prey, and they quickly retreated.

Like kangaroos, they leaped five meters high, ten meters away, and vanished in another leap.

Bella threw the rebar with graceful grace, but unfortunately, having never practiced spear throwing, her accuracy was far off.

Standing barefoot in the sand, her breath was a little unsteady. She hadn't noticed it during the previous battle, but now, looking at these colorful spiders, she felt sick! Especially when she realized that she had killed all of them, her stomach turned sour.

"So fragile?" Natasha paused, her motorcycle unconcerned, and studied the spider's corpse for a moment.

  "Oh—you're afraid of spiders?"

Bella retorted, "Am I afraid? It's just a normal reaction. Don't you feel uncomfortable?"

The beautiful girl shook her head decisively, "I don't."

"You're related to them, so of course you're not afraid. I'm not! "

Bella conceded defeat. "I've lost. I can't afford to offend you."

The two rested for a moment while the small town boys on motorcycles cleaned up the scene.

They had wanted to run, too—the giant spider was nothing to Bella, but its ferocious appearance still frightened the boys to the point of wetting their pants.

The few survivors had run dozens of meters away, but when they saw Bella turning back to rescue them, their adrenaline surged with shame, and they returned to the fight.

Their performance was quite good. Working together, they managed to kill a spider with their motorcycles and rescue their cocooned companions one by one.

The boys, overwhelmed with gratitude for the two women who risked their lives to rescue them, surrounded Natasha, showering her with compliments.

It wasn't that they didn't want to talk to Bella, but her expression was grim.

She hadn't thought of it before, but now, with the combination of Natasha, the scrap barrel, and the beautiful sheriff, she recalled the plot. She'd seen the movie.

It seemed to be about a bunch of small-town residents fighting spiders, but was the town called "Prosperity"? She had no idea. There were so many such towns that even the subtitlers didn't bother translating their names.

Bella repeatedly beckoned everyone back to town.

She recalled the general plot: these spiders weren't isolated incidents; there were probably more to come!

"You're taking a body back with you, is that okay?" To give the townspeople an explanation, the spider's body had to be brought back.

While Natasha wasn't afraid of spiders, she didn't want to drag one of these giant monsters on her motorcycle, so she had to leave that job to the boys.

The boys were also terrified. Two of them had large wet spots on their crotches, which looked extremely wet. But they couldn't say they were scared in front of a beautiful woman. They mustered their courage and took out some wire ropes from the gas station. They picked out the two largest spider corpses, tied them to the back of their motorcycles, and dragged them back to Prosperity Town.

The corpses of the giant spiders shocked the townspeople of Prosperity Town. Natasha's mother hurried back to discuss countermeasures with the townspeople, and Charlie also came along to offer advice.

Bella hurriedly followed Natasha into the room to change clothes.

She had to change her high heels, skirt, necklace, and everything else. It was a pity for her carefully dressed outfit.

"Your shoes are a bit tight!"

"Sister, that's because you have big feet!"

"What kind of clothes are these? It's okay with the cartoon pattern, but they're tattered and a bit musty."

"Those are the clothes I wore as a child. They're the only ones that fit you,"

Natasha emphasized. Bella raised her fist at her.

After killing over a dozen spiders and traversing the sandy road, they were both feeling quite uncomfortable.

Every flick of her eyelashes sent sand flying, and her hair was matted together. It was truly devastating to Bella.

Although she felt the timing was wrong and the giant spiders might attack at any moment, she, with her skill and courage, made a decision! "Never mind, let's take a shower first!"

Natasha's bathroom wasn't big, and the two of them were racing against time. They could just squeeze together and shower, then drink someone else's bath water. What's the big deal? We could shower together!

Fifteen minutes later, the two emerged wrapped in towels.

"Do you have any hydrating skincare products?" Bella, as usual, went looking for skincare products when, out of the corner of her eye, she saw two furry legs clinging to the window, seemingly trying to crawl inside.

"Those monsters are chasing us!" Bella said, meaninglessly.

"Stop nagging! You're wasting time! Find a solution!"

Clothed only in bath towels, they were now completely unarmed.

  "Do you have a gun?"

"How could I? My mom won't let me touch a gun!"

Seeing their blurry figures reflected in the spider's eight eyes, Bella frantically searched the room.

She didn't want to fight it barehanded; that would be too daunting!

What could Natasha have in her room that she could use as a weapon? A wolf repellent? No use! Scissors? Too short!

Chairs, handbags, nail clippers didn't count.

Suddenly, she noticed the floor fan beside the table. It was over a meter tall, and at least the column and base were made of metal.

After using the fan's base to repel the giant spider's pounce twice, she had a plan. The towel, however, was a bit of a hindrance, significantly restricting her movements and pace.

She had no choice but to ask Natasha for help.

"Help me tie the towel tighter, don't let anything show!"

Natasha had no room to maneuver in such situations. She had no attacking skills at all, and she was a little amused by Bella's request.

"It's just the two of us here, it doesn't matter what happens!"

Bella objected firmly: "No! I absolutely cannot have any psychological barriers! Come and help!"

Natasha could only hide behind her, holding the towel tightly with both hands to prevent it from falling and showing.

They were like playing a game of eagle and chicken, the big spider was the eagle, Bella was the hen, and Natasha was the chick.

Bella kept hitting the big spider with the base of the floor fan, and at the same time, she had to pay attention to her own position, not exposing Natasha to the opponent's attack range.
