The battle had reached a point where hesitation no longer existed.
Ash had exhausted nearly all of his strength—and for the first time since mastering Suzuno, the Bone Guardian, he was being pushed to his absolute limit.
He had unlocked the Aura Eye only recently, and though he could now channel his aura with unparalleled precision, he rarely dared to use its full power.
But facing Mewtwo was not just another battle.
It was a duel that would decide the fate of both humans and Pokémon.
"Petrification Technique!"
Mewtwo's eyes gleamed with fierce blue light. In an instant, Ash felt his entire body stiffen. His muscles froze, his breath caught in his throat—he was completely immobilized.
The technique was terrifyingly efficient. It turned its victim's body rigid, locking their aura flow, just like stone. Even Ash's enhanced physique couldn't move an inch under its power.
Mewtwo extended both hands.
"Aura Missile!"
A sphere of condensed psychic and aura energy formed between his palms, swirling violently before being unleashed at blinding speed.
BOOM!
The explosion thundered through the island, sending shockwaves across the sea. Ash's Suzuno, the skeletal guardian protecting him, absorbed the brunt of the impact.
Cracks spiderwebbed across its surface.
"That was close…" Ash panted. "If Suzuno hadn't blocked that, I'd be finished."
But there was no time to rest.
Mewtwo was already forming another Aura Missile, his power unrelenting.
"Damn it! Break—NOW!"
Ash's voice roared across the sky. His aura flared wildly, and a surge of pure psychic energy erupted from within him.
The petrification shattered instantly, the backlash of Mewtwo's power snapping through the air.
Bang!
The energy recoil made Mewtwo grunt, a sharp sound of pain escaping him as his psychic hold faltered.
The second Aura Missile veered off course, exploding harmlessly to the side as Suzuno's broken fragments were hurled away by the shockwave.
"Haa… haa…"
Ash's breath came heavy and uneven. Suzuno's armor was cracked all over, its skeletal form flickering from instability. His eyes were bloodshot from overexertion.
Mewtwo, too, was strained. His psychic field had been forcefully shattered by Ash's raw aura output, something no human had ever done before.
Both combatants glared at one another, bodies trembling, yet their spirits refused to yield.
"Mewtwo!!!"
"Ash Ketchum!!!"
They roared simultaneously.
Then—they vanished.
The air split with a thunderous crack as the two collided midair. Fists crashed into faces, the sheer force blasting them both backward like cannon shells.
"Not good—my body's not responding!"
Ash realized, watching helplessly as he plummeted toward the castle on the island below.
Across the sky, Mewtwo was hurled in the opposite direction, his psychic aura flickering from the feedback of their collision.
Just as Ash was about to slam into the castle wall, a soft pink bubble appeared behind him, cushioning the impact. The momentum stopped instantly, and Ash hovered midair, blinking in confusion.
"Huh? What is this…?"
"Mii~!"
A cheerful voice echoed.
A small pink Pokémon floated into view, its big blue eyes gleaming with childlike playfulness. It waved its tiny hands and giggled. With a flick, the bubble beneath Ash popped gently.
Ash regained balance using his Float Gem, rising into the air again.
His eyes widened as he recognized the creature before him.
"...Mew."
It was the original. The ancestor of all Pokémon.
The one that had silently watched the battle unfold from afar—Mew, the Legendary Pokémon of dreams.
Ash could hardly believe it.
A Legendary Pokémon, here, watching him fight Mewtwo.
"Mew," he whispered, awe flooding his voice.
"One of the Legendary Pokémon… the Dream Pokémon."
The little creature only giggled in response, darting through the air in loops, as if teasing both Ash and Mewtwo alike.
And in that moment—amid the chaos, destruction, and trembling sky—Ash realized something profound.
This battle wasn't just between two beings of power.
It was between creation and reflection, origin and evolution—and he was standing right in the middle of it.

Narrator:
"The entire stadium fell into silence. No one had expected that the battle between Ash and Mewtwo would draw out Mew—one of the Legendary Pokémon."
"Look—so cute!"
A spectator exclaimed as the pink, catlike Pokémon floated onscreen, giggling like a child at play.
"Wait, isn't Mewtwo created from Mew's genes?" another asked in disbelief.
"Yeah," someone else replied.
"That's what the League reports said when the information was declassified. But seeing them side by side now… they really do look alike."
Mew playfully darted around the battlefield, her laughter carrying a strange warmth that contrasted the fury of the storm around Ash and Mewtwo.
League Research Center, Reception Room
"Mew…? How is this possible?"
Professor Oak muttered in astonishment as he stared at the feed. "Why would Mew appear here of all places?"
Standing beside him, Skye Draconis—the head of the Draconis family—narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.
"Could it be here to help Ash?"
At once, the other veteran researchers leaned in, barking orders to their teams.
"Run every scan we can! We need data on Mew's energy readings immediately!"
"Compare it to Ho-Oh's life-force frequency!"
But no amount of data could fully capture what they were witnessing—one of the world's rarest Legendary Pokémon revealing itself in real time.
Team Rocket Headquarters
"Hahaha! I didn't think Mew would actually show up!"
Giovanni leaned back in his chair, laughing darkly as Mew's image flickered across the screen.
"Perfect. Prepare that device again. If we can capture Mew as well, this time we won't just have one creation—we'll have the original."
He clenched his fist.
"From just a single strand of Mew's eyelashes, we engineered Mewtwo. Imagine what we could do with Mew itself. With enough resources, we could mass-produce Legendary Pokémon."
"Yes, Boss."
A Rocket agent saluted sharply. "We'll make the preparations immediately."
Battlefield
As Mew playfully floated between the two combatants, Ash's eyes sharpened.
His instincts screamed that this wasn't coincidence.
"System," he called silently within his mind, his voice low and focused. "Analyze that Pokémon."
Ding~!
Name: Mew
Level: Mythic Class
Ability: Synchronize — When inflicted with Burn, Poison, or Paralysis, the opponent gains the same condition.
Type: Psychic
Potential: S+ (Legendary Tier)
Ash frowned. "System, what's going on? It shows as a Mythic Pokémon, but its potential ranks on par with a Legendary. How is that possible?"
Ding~!
[Mew belongs to a rare classification known as Mythic Pokémon. Such Pokémon are born with immense innate talent and elemental magic, but they cannot command the fundamental laws of the world. Therefore, beyond Champion level, their tier is listed as 'Mythic' rather than 'Legendary.']
"I see…" Ash murmured.
"So even with that kind of power, it can't master the world's governing laws. A blessing and a curse all at once… truly the darling of nature itself."
Mew giggled in response as if she had heard his words. She twirled through the air, spreading trails of glittering light as Ash and Mewtwo's auras began to clash once more below her.
The storm of energy between creation and origin intensified—and Mew, the heart of all Pokémon, had finally entered the stage.
