Chapter 89 - "The Child Who Shook the Heavens: The Philosophy of Power"

A deadly moment of silence prevailed…

The angel's face clearly showed tension and confusion.

And Seraphina looked at him with the same arrogance, confidence, and that same terrifying smile.

At that moment, the angel realized that he was not capable of facing Seraphina, so he turned to Rio and said:

— No problem… let us just finish what we came here to do!

The angel clapped four times.

With each clap, terror spread into the heart of every entity on the face of the earth.

And on the fourth clap, the land changed into another place.

Seraphina and Rio began looking around in uneasy confusion.

The angel said to them:

— There is no need to worry. This is just another land, not the original one. We do not want to destroy the original world.

The sky was covered with wings of light, the earth trembled under the weight of thousands of heavenly authorities, and the air was filled with spiritual pressure capable of crushing mountains.

But in the midst of all this…

A blind child stood firmly, holding the hand of a being who embodied life itself.

The angel shouted:

— Advance! Seize them!

Millions of wings moved in a single instant, as if the sky itself had flipped upside down.

Thousands of spears of light were launched, each spear capable of annihilating an entire continent.

Seraphina gasped:

— Rio! This is too much even for you!

But Rio… smiled.

He raised his head toward the sky, even though he could not see, and said in a low voice, imbued with the magic of writing and filled with certainty:

— The weak die… because nature does not wait for those who hesitate. When you see an army coming toward you, it is natural to feel fear. But I… feel excitement! Why?

Rio was smiling with enthusiasm.

For the first time in her life, Seraphina felt fear toward someone.

And suddenly…

He extended his hand forward.

At that moment…

The air itself split apart.

A transparent black wave emerged—tremendous power.

The spears collided with the wave…

And turned to dust before touching the ground.

The sky trembled.

Millions retreated a single step for the first time.

The angel screamed in shock:

— Impossible! This is the power of a complete system specter! How does a child possess such power?! Angelic spears, forged even from the body of the universe, cannot even touch it! Where did you get this power?!

Rio laughed lightly:

— You are mistaken.

He raised his hand once more.

— I do not possess the power… the power chose me.

Space split apart, and a colossal sword appeared—larger than entire continents. With a single swing, it cut down millions of angels.

Even the mere air pressure released from it was enough to tear apart all the celestial bodies in its path.

A gigantic angel charged forward, larger than a mountain, with a golden body and four flaming wings:

— I will crush you, you chi—!

Before he could finish, his head vanished.

No one saw him move.

No one understood what happened.

The massive body fell from the sky, turning mountains into ash.

Everyone fell silent.

The main angel swallowed his saliva:

— Movement… beyond perception?!

Rio said coldly:

— If you need violence to prove your strength… then you are not strong.

He took a single step forward.

Space shook.

Beneath his foot.

The world itself seemed to tremble in fear from his mere approach.

Seraphina looked at him with amazement and fear at the same time:

— Rio… who exactly are you?

He answered slowly:

— I am just a prince who was exiled.

Then he raised his face toward the angel:

— You are the ones who started the war… and now you want me to be weak?

The angel shouted:

— You threaten the heavens themselves! We are the representatives of the system! We—

Rio interrupted him with disgust and contempt:

— You are weak.

The heavens froze.

All the angels were struck with shock.

Rio raised his hand toward them:

— If you represent the system… then the system is weak, and I will reshape it!

At that moment…

A distant, deep sound appeared, as if coming from the heart of the universe itself:

Dong…

A black bell.

It rang once more.

All the angels froze.

The main angel retreated in terror:

— No… this is impossible! The Black Bell rang again?!

Seraphina gasped:

— Rio! The complete curse has awakened!

Rio smiled:

— Then… the world has finally chosen its true enemy. Let me see who will be able to defeat me?!

Rio became a tyrant in that war. In just one minute, he annihilated more than twenty million angels.

Despite the fact that he did not speak.

Despite the fact that he could not see.

Despite the fact that he had only one arm.

Despite the fact that he was a small child who had not yet come of age.

Despite the fact that his energy and power were unstable.

He was still the strongest without dispute.

The sky split apart.

Black, fiery chains emerged, wrapping around the heavens and surrounding Rio, preventing his escape.

Millions shouted:

— The cursed chains! They bind the enemy!

— Have we won?!

Rio said coldly:

— And do you think such nonsense can restrain me?

He destroyed them.

Rio used so much of his power that he was on the verge of death just to destroy them—but he succeeded and healed himself quickly.

He never expected them to be that powerful.

They were enormous chains capable of restraining entire galaxies—yet they could not restrain a human?

The main angel said in a trembling voice:

— You… what exactly is happening?!

Rio leaned slightly forward, as if whispering a secret:

— If the king is a criminal… then the entire kingdom is criminal.

With that sentence, Rio meant that the angel was the king, the upper dimension was the kingdom, and Rio's law stated:

"If the king is a criminal, then the entire kingdom is criminal!"

The angel understood that meaning and realized the danger he had brought to his world!

Then he charged at Rio in rage.

The battle exploded.

The sky turned into a field of luminous slaughter.

Millions of spears, swords, wings, and heavenly energies rained down from the main angel toward Rio like a storm.

And in the middle of it all:

A single child moved slowly…

Showing no concern, as if dancing in the rain, and whispered in his ear:

— Do not rush your death. Let me finish them first, then I will come back to you.

With every step he took:

A thousand angels died.

A continent in the sky shattered.

Space itself bent.

It was… unreal.

Rio was not fighting with brutality.

But with terrifying gentleness.

Every time he touched an angel:

They turned into white ash.

No screams.

No blood.

Just… disappearance.

Seraphina watched in shock:

— My God… his killing is extremely gentle… yet more terrifying than any demon I have ever seen…

The main angel lost his mind:

— Stop! You are tearing apart the heavens themselves! The skies will collapse! The stars will fall!

Rio smiled:

— A system that needs weakness to survive… does not deserve to exist.

Seraphina said:

— Just as I predicted, the stars will fall tonight—but I never expected them to fall by your hand!

Suddenly…

The sky shook.

A massive light descended from above, different from everything that had appeared before.

Golden light surrounded the angels within it like a prison…

Stronger than the angels…

Closer to a barrier of light from which no one could escape.

Everything fell silent.

And Rio smiled.

— Farewell.

Seraphina gasped:

— What a terrifying power…!

The heavenly entities screamed:

— We will die!

...

The light rose and pierced space itself until it covered everything around it, and then…

BOOOOM!!!

The light collapsed inward and exploded, annihilating everything inside it, until the stars fell from the sky like rain.

With that attack, the entire angelic army was exterminated—more than ten billion angels were wiped out in a single moment.

The main angel stared in shock and fell to his knees, losing hope—but anger was stronger:

— Rio…

— You have crossed your limits.

Rio smiled with terrifying confidence:

— I have no limit to stop at.

The angel raised his hand.

The worlds froze.

— I will show you the meaning of true power…

Rio raised his hand as well.

— And I will show you… the power that does not acknowledge authority.

Each of them formed a spear larger than the stars in space.

They were launched toward each other at a speed that tore the fabric of space.

They collided.

The resulting explosion destroyed everything on a world-level scale, leaving no one standing except Rio, the main angel, and Seraphina, inside a dome Seraphina created so that Rio would not die.

The angel said:

— So you cannot live within the universe, can you? Otherwise, why would the Messenger of Life create a miniature world so you would not be erased?

Rio answered:

— Yes, I may not yet be at a sufficient level to comprehend the entire universe, but one day I will understand everything.

Rio looked around, but before he could see anything, Seraphina immediately covered his eyes and shouted:

— Do not look at anything! The special worlds of the total universe—if you look at them, your mind will explode in the very first second!

The world itself vanished for a second.

The earth, the sky, the laws—

They disappeared.

Then everything suddenly returned.

Seraphina recreated the world anew.

But the land turned into a crater the size of a continent.

The oceans evaporated.

Yet Seraphina restored everything again—

In the blink of an eye.

Not even a second passed after everything was restored before Rio and the main angel clashed again.

Rio said excitedly:

— You… what is your name?!

The angel answered:

— Ariels. I am called Ariels.

Rio said:

— It is an honor to meet you.

Ariels replied:

— And I as well!

At that moment, Ariels began to respect Rio and acknowledge him as a dangerous enemy to the heavens.

He smiled.

— Let us finish this now!

Rio replied as he wiped the blood from his mouth:

— Yes… I am starting to get tired!

Each of them prepared their final attack and released their full power.

Their power was so immense that the very first strike from Rio managed to partially affect one of the spaces of the universe.

Ariels and Rio released their attacks at the same time. Before the collision occurred, Seraphina formed a barrier around them to reduce the damage to the world.

The clash began, and this time the explosion occurred before perception itself.

A shockwave spread, shaking galaxies across the world.

The explosion collapsed inward.

Ariels was standing—but Rio…

Fell to the ground, defeated!

Ariels approached him and said:

— We have won!

Rio replied, laughing:

— I did not expect to lose.

Ariels said with a slight smile:

— You are the one who truly won, and no one denies that. You are strong.

Rio replied:

— The strong are those who endure, and the weak will inevitably fall—even if they are heroes! Will you kill me now?

Ariels answered:

— I will not kill you! After understanding your intention behind the rebellion, I see that you are not guilty, but merely an innocent soul who did something wrong without knowing.

Seraphina said:

— But surely you will be punished severely!

Ariels said with confidence and without hesitation:

— I am not afraid of punishment. I came here to enforce justice, but…

…I was deceived! Rio did nothing wrong—he only wanted to bring his friends back.

That is human nature: to do the impossible for the sake of loved ones.

Therefore, I see Rio as innocent, and I will not enforce the judgment upon him.

Ariels spread his wings and flew toward the sky one last time!

Then a light descended from the sky, pierced Ariels' head, and he fell to the ground…

Dead.

Seraphina said:

— It is true that they are rulers and a fundamental part of existence, but they are nothing more than pawns in a greater game. If they deviate from the norm or refuse orders, they die.

He carried out his nature as an angel by spreading justice—but he died because of it!

The System said:

— Congratulations on your victory, Rio. But do not forget—the upper entities you killed have just been reborn!

Except for Ariels; it seems he has truly died.
