They returned to the dorm tower with Gara still trying to digest Mona's words.
Their steps came to a stop when they ran into Revan and Andine. The mermaid girl's eyes were swollen and red, she must've been crying not long ago.
Surprisingly, it was Fian who approached her first, looking visibly guilty. So unlike his usual calm self.
"I'm sorry, Andine," he said, voice low with remorse.
Andine blinked, startled. She had prepared herself for another round of scolding, not an apology. "F-Fian?"
"We're sorry— no, I'm sorry, Andine." Gara stepped forward too, sharing the same apologetic look.
"What's going on?" she asked, glancing at the four young men in confusion before turning to Revan.
But Revan looked just as lost as she was.
Not wasting any time, Gara explained everything about Mona. Miki jumped in now and then to fill in the details, confirming Gara's account.
Andine clasped her hands, too shocked to speak.
