To the north and east stretched open ground, dotted only with sparse trees.
From the height of the watchtower, they could see another wall in the distance— tall, but smaller and thinner than the mansion's main wall.
They couldn't see the southern area from there, which must be why a second watchtower had been built behind the mansion.
Instead of taking the front gate, they walked through the forest behind the mansion until they reached the back watchtower, which looked identical to the one in front.
Climbing up, they found the same view beyond the rear gate— open land, with no mist at all.
"It's time we take a look outside," Gara said.
The other three nodded in agreement.
Together, the four young men stepped through the back gate. Before them stretched a wide, flat expanse of land. Perfect for building something.
"What are we supposed to do with all this empty land?" Gara wondered aloud, still trying to grasp the point of the dimensional home pocket the system had given him.
