Lu Chong's eyes trembled in excitement.

Before coming to Blazing Sun City, the idea of becoming a God-spirit never even crossed his mind.

"The city is in danger!"

"What do you mean?"
Wu Tu asked as he held off from taking a bite from the piece of meat in his hand.
"There are 100,000 kobold troops riding towards the direction of the city!"
"We need to report to the lord immediately!"
Kelvin spoke rapidly, barely catching his breath.
Dropping their food to the side, Wu Tu, Gavi, and the two sword shield soldiers immediately sprang to their feet.
"How long before they arrive at the city?"
Wu Tu asked as they rushed towards their Sunsoars.
"Three hours at most."
Kelvin replied.
"If they slow down to rest along the way, then maybe five."
He had calculated it based on the speed of the kobolds' hounds.
"But why would the Nether Bark Kingdom attack the city?"
"Aren't they afraid of provoking calamity by breaking the supreme agreement enforced by the Supreme Will?"
"I'm sure we haven't provoked them in any way to warrant an attack."
Gavi said as he communicated to his companions using the communication array attached to the Sunsoars.
"Speculation can wait."
"The city must be prepared to defend against the invaders no matter their reason of attack."
Wu Tu ended the discussion.
After gaining altitude, the members of the Blazing Atlas Society activated the Swift flight mode of their Sunsoars.
They shot forward at 6,000km/h, closing the distance of the city at incredible speed.
At that rate, they would arrive in just over two hours.
Still-
Wu Tu's expression remained tense.
'The fact remain... how will the city withstand 100,000 kobolds?'

Zhou Zhou called from inside.
Wu Tu entered and bowed.
"My lord."
Zhou Zhou looked up, slightly surprised.
"You returned early today."
"I had no choice, my lord."
Wu Tu replied.
"I bring urgent news."

"Over 100,000 Kobolds are riding toward the city."
Zhou Zhou's expression remained calm.
Numbers alone rarely shook him, unless the enemy's strength matched or surpassed his own troops.
"How strong is this army?"
He asked.
Having received information on the invaders from Kelvin, Wu Tu answered.
"The army contained an Extraordinary-tier hero, 3 Diamond-tier kobolds, 6 White platinum-tier kobolds, 10,000 Yellow gold-tier kobolds, and 89,990 White silver-tier soldiers."
"And each kobold rides a White silver-tier hound."
Zhou Zhou narrowed his eyes slightly as he calculated.
'The kobolds are a race with advance-tier combat skills..."
'Only those bred by Thanatos become divine-tier lifeforms...'
'Mmm...'
'With my divine-tier soldiers at the Yellow gold-tier elementary grade, they can handle any of the Diamond-tier kobolds.'
'The real problem lies with the remaining Diamond-tier kobold.'
'I'll need to raise at least one of my empire-tier soldiers by a grade to deal with them."
'And that would delay the plan of assisting Lu Chong in becoming a God-spirit."
