Chapter 24 - New Home

Elfrea

I had intended only to help Alea dress into the beautiful gown she allowed me to pick for her. As soon as I looked into her pleading green eyes, hoping for more, I decided to give her what she wanted. With swift movements, I fully undressed Alea and left light kisses from her lips trailing down to her waist. I then knelt in front of Alea's naked form, placing her leg over my shoulder. I ran my hands lightly up her back, messaging Alea as I moved.

"Elfrea," Alea says my name in a plea for me to continue.

A loud moan then erupts from Alea as I begin to lick and thrust my tongue inside of her. I look up at Alea, and we lock eyes as I continue feasting on her. Alea's head then leans back as more moans leave her. Alea moves greedily against me, her hand finds its way into my hair, gently gripping and pulling. Alea's sweet aroma wrapped around me just as her legs were, and I got lost in it.

"Elfrea," my name moans loudly from Alea's lips as I move my tongue at greater speed.

I felt Alea's body tense for a moment before I tasted her release. Alea, lost in her climax, squeezed her toned thighs around me.

"Bite me," Alea whispers to me.

I look up at her to see her nodding yes to me. Alea was giving me her trust in doing this. I would be lying if I said I haven't been hoping for this. I will only bite her if she wants me to. I was still full and felt I wouldn't hurt or worse drain her. I would only do enough to mark her skin and receive a taste.

I turn back to her inner thigh and begin to lick at Alea's wet skin. Alea starts to breathe heavy from the anticipation of the bite. I open my mouth and puncture Alea's beautiful skin. Alea lets out a hiss of pain before I hear little moans from her.

I let out my own moan as Alea's blood floods into my mouth. It was as amazing as the first taste I had; I could taste Alea's magic swirling in the blood. The taste was almost making me lose my head in a thick fog. Alea's body is relaxing, bringing me quickly back to where I was. I held on to her to keep her relaxed body from falling. I removed my fangs and licked away the flowing blood until it stopped.

I look up at Alea, whose eyes were glossy and dilated as if she were high. A large smile plastered across her face.

"Alea," I softly speak her name. This was thankfully enough to bring her out of the dream state. Alea shook her head for a moment before she looked down, our eyes meeting.

I watched her smile drop as her face grew red. Alea brought her hands to her face to cover it. I let out a short laugh as I moved Alea's leg from my shoulder and stood up, keeping my arms wrapped around her waist. I kissed her hands until she moved them so I could gain access to her face.

"I always heard that a vampire's bite could be euphoric if they wanted it to," Alea said.

"Are you alright to stand?" I asked her before I removed my arms from her waist.

Alea nods a yes to me, so I slowly release her and turn back to the suitcases we had open on the table. I grab one of the corsets out of Alea's case and walk back to her. Cole would soon walk back through the door, and I didn't want Alea standing naked in the middle of the room.

Once Alea slipped into the dress, I pasted her a pair of black sheer leggings to go with the dress. I added the silver chain that lay along her neck and shoulders; it went well with the necklace I had given her.

"Can you put it on?" Alea asks me, pointing to the small black velvet case on the table.

I didn't want to place it on her any more than Alea wanted it on. We both knew she had to have it on to show vampires she was a kept human. It was also a sign to keep any vampires from trying to take a bite from her as well. Though I knew if she didn't want that to happen, it wouldn't.

I open the small case and pull out the jeweled collar, and walk behind Alea. I place the collar around her neck and snap the clasp. I then begin to loosen the tight braid I had created, letting her hair fall in loose waves that fall over her shoulders.

Just as I pass Alea a pair of heels to finish off her look, Cole walks back through the door. He had already changed into a fine black suit fit for a noble to wear. His silver hair slicked back, making him seem less like a young man and more of the older vampire that he was.

"We leave in ten minutes," Cole informs us.

I walk over to my suitcase and grab the dress Alea had chosen for me, along with fresh undergarments, and head to the washroom to change. Alea slips into the small room with me. We both move quickly as she helps me into the dress. Even though we moved swiftly, Alea lingered her touch on my skin.

 "Let's move," Alea says.

As we step out of the washroom, we see Cole waiting by the door, all of the suitcases already gone. I slide on a pair of heels as we all head to the door.

Before the three of us stepped outside, Cole turned to Alea and me. "Once we exit this apartment, you become who you were assigned," Cole said in a stern voice. He was already in character.

The three of us cover ourselves in much nicer cloaks than we had been wearing. The inside was lined with soft, warm fur that lined the inside of the hood. Everything we walked into the apartment with would be left here. There wasn't anything I wanted to bring with me anyway. Even the disintegrating diary could burn, and I wouldn't care. I felt for Alea, given everything she had told me; I was sure everything she owned was in her bag.

Once all this was over, I would change that.

Our walk to the carriage didn't take long. Cole must have had his shadows up since the people we passed paid us no mind. As we neared the carriage, a young man walked up to us, giving a short bow.

"Lord and Lady Talbot, everything is ready to go. Please step this way to take you to your new home," The man said with a smile.

We follow him to the side of the large carriage, and he swiftly opens the door and lets down the steps to help get us inside. For a moment, I caught myself turning to help Alea first, but Cole saw as well and swiftly grabbed my hand into his. Cole lifts it gently and leads me into the carriage first before he climbs in behind me. He sits down next to me as Alea follows in the carriage behind him. She then sat in the seat across from us.

The door closed, and we set out to where we would be living. We all remain silent on the way there. I watched out of the small window next to me. We soon went from dirt roads to brick from the sound. Tall lamps shone bright as we passed stores, and soon, small, nice-looking homes. The buildings grew taller, and where some things started to seem familiar in my memory, but also very different. Styles had changed after all these years. I would need to begin studying so I could catch up and hold conversations.

Soon, the stores, tall buildings, and passersby faded into the distance. It was replaced with perfectly lined tall, thick trees and manicured bushes. Occasionally, I would spot a large gate and large homes in the distance from them. The carriage then came to a halt for a moment before continuing after the sound of a large gate opening.

"Nearing your new home, Lord Talbot," the young man said from a small opening near Alea's head.

Cole shifts in his seat, seeming to make sure he is fully Charles Talbot now. I did the same, taking a deep breath, and I set my face neutral. I let the skills I learned in my life guide me through this. It was almost like riding a bike with how I could hold myself. The hard part would be the way I would have to treat Alea in public.

As the carriage neared, the large manor started to fully come into our view. It had so much lighting shining that it looked like a beacon, calling to us. The lighting had gotten much brighter than what I remembered. Coming to a full stop, a red carpet led from the road to the large double doors. The staff lined up to the right, ready to greet us.

The carriage driver opened the carriage door for us and brought down the steps. Cole left out first, turning around, holding his hand out to me. I take his hand, letting him lead me out of the carriage. I force my legs to walk beside him, leaving Alea to trail behind us. A very tall older man walks out from the line of staff and gives a deep bow to us before he introduces himself.

"I am Gilbert Holms. I will be your Head of Staff. I will also be your personal assistant, Lord Talbot." Mr. Holms introduces himself to us. He then gestures over to the other staff still in the line.

Six individuals stood before us with their gazes cast down. Each began to say their name and station. Out of the bunch, three were vampires as well, along with Mr. Holms.

"Rina, I am part of housekeeping. Until Miss Heidi arrives, I will be attending Lady Talbot." The first woman said. She was a tall woman like me with bird-like features and sharp, red eyes. Rina falls back in line.

"Beth, I, too, am part of housekeeping, and I will be attending to the Lord and Lady's pet Jade." The tiny woman spoke up next. An elderly lady who indeed had white hair, but only because of age. Her voice was sweet, and she made me feel as if I was seeing my grandmother once again.

"Tilly, I am your chef and will be running the kitchen. The rest of my staff rotate in and out. If you have any special requests, please let me know or have the attendants send in your requests." Tilly was a hefty woman with dark brown eyes and red hair. Freckles peppered across her face as she wore a large smile.

"Arrin, I am the Head of Security." The large man said in a deep voice. He lingered even over Cole with a few scars on his arms, neck, and face. He was someone who knew of battle. His hair was black, but his eyes were bright red, showing that he was a vampire.

"Vinny, I work under Mr. Arrin in security." The man standing next to him then spoke up. He was shorter in height but built similarly, with large muscles that showed through his simple black suit.

The list ended with him, so we turned back towards the large double doors and headed inside.
