After Rexid arrived at the emperor’s corpse, even going as far as to show his back on her, he slowly went on his knees. When he hugged his skinny body and checked, he saw that it was his oldest brother, as unbelievable as it may seemed.
There was a dagger gleaming dangerously, embedded on the same part as where Raven was stabbed. Rexid lifted his head up and yelled with bloodshot eyes.

“Just WHY! You… you killed Raven like this too, and now you had to kill him as well… for what?!”
“What do you know?” Rachel indifferently mumbled as she looked down at Rexid holding the emperor’s corpse. “Rex, my poor little brother. Would you hear my story before you die?”
“What story?” Rexid let out an empty laugh as he got up with a crying expression. “About how our brother… belittled you? Or your daughter—my niece—died because she was sold off to some kingdom by him?”
Rachel froze stiff. “You…”
“Sorry. I didn’t know any of it.”
