Locke frowned as he retrieved a Cursed Stone from his Astral Ring. He then cast a simple Curse upon the blood oozing from the patient's palm wound using the stone.
The blood quickly turned black but soon reverted to its normal red hue at an astonishing speed.
Both Angulo and Essie noticed this phenomenon. "This..."
"The blood contains potent Magic Resistance—not only is it highly active and powerful, but it also seems to exhibit strong resistance against most Curses..."
Angulo suddenly seemed to recall something and grabbed Locke's arm excitedly. "Locke, have you discovered the universal Curse-resistant Magic Resistance structure? That was a theoretical concept proposed by my mentor, Wizard Edwin, in his papers! You actually managed to develop it?"
Locke nodded slightly. "Well, sort of. It's actually a natural magical structure I cultivated from a Magic Plant. It can't be considered a true universal resistance structure—I'm not that capable. It's just that when this Magic Plant's natural magical structure enters human blood, it adapts its resistance based on different Curses."
"Then I used that Magic Plant to refine the Bear Spirit Bile Potion, which is now the Bear Spirit Emerald Bile Potion. I decided to test it on this patient."
Locke examined the First Class Wizard Apprentice and confirmed that the Magic Plant Curse on him had been completely neutralized. Even the Gladiolus Orchid on his hand showed positive changes—though it was now useless, replacing it with another Magic Plant would suffice.
Unlike Ruixing, who had suffered severe damage last time, this First Class Wizard Apprentice emerged almost unscathed, needing only to replace his Magic Plant.
Moreover, this time, Locke had resolved the issue using Potionology. It was a complete and flawless solution to the Curse.
His Bear Spirit Emerald Bile Potion had now been proven to fully counteract Magic Plant Curses. In fact, this Potion, originally developed for Magic Plant Curses, could also be applied to other types of Curses.
If that were the case, Locke could publish a flood of papers—so many that he couldn't possibly write them all alone. He could collaborate with his two friends or even enlist the help of the three Wizard Seedlings he was mentoring.
Since they were all under the same mentor, as their senior, he could share some of these opportunities for publication with them.
Angulo, lost in his excitement, exclaimed, "No wonder you called the Magic Plant Curse a third-rate Curse!"
"With a Potion of this caliber, the so-called Magic Plant Curse is indeed nothing more than a trivial nuisance. Not just that—most Curses in the treatment center could likely be easily resolved by this Potion without leaving any side effects."
Angulo turned to Essie and said, "Quickly notify everyone afflicted with the Magic Plant Curse to come here. Let's lift their Curses all at once."
"With the potion developed by Locke, Magic Plant Curses now have a specific antidote and are no longer a thorny issue."
"Haha, that Wizard Seed from the Blood Curse Court is truly laughable. The Magic Plant Curse they painstakingly developed hasn't achieved any results yet—not a single one of our people has been killed—and Locke has already cracked it."
Essie was slow to react due to shock.
After standing frozen for a moment, she immediately notified her assistants, instructing them to inform the remaining sixteen victims of the Magic Plant Curse that a specific Counter-curse Potion was now available and to come for treatment as soon as possible.
Several Second-Class Wizard Apprentice assistants hurried out the door to notify the patients.
Locke then noticed that, at some point, a crowd of Potionology Assistants had gathered outside his office.
They all peered curiously inside, watching his fully recovered First-Class Wizard Apprentice patient.
The Potionology Assistants' expressions varied—some envious, some admiring, some jealous, and some even looking at Locke with awe.
It was the fear reserved for genius.
Meanwhile, Carrie Ackerman from Angron's workshop stood in shock, her eyes wide, her once-pristine hairstyle now slightly disheveled.
"How is this possible…"
"He's just a newly promoted First-Class Wizard Apprentice who only obtained his Potionology Assistant Certificate this year, yet he independently solved a curse that even Senior Angron didn't want to tackle."
Carrie Ackerman's gaze toward Locke shifted from disbelief to hostility, then finally to fear and respect.
As a Potionology Assistant who clung to Angron, Carrie knew her talent was mediocre and her skills lacking, so she preferred to ride on others' coattails.
She survived by flattering Angron and other capable students under Wizard Harun Vera.
Thus, she always looked down on First-Class Wizard Apprentices she deemed inferior, believing there was an insurmountable gap between them, while those more skilled than her earned her reverence and innate respect.
When Carrie noticed Locke glancing in her direction, she immediately put on the most benevolent smile of her life and beamed at him.
From a distance, she even softly congratulated Locke on his groundbreaking achievement in Potionology.
But Locke, throughout it all, didn't notice the inconspicuous her.
On the third floor of the treatment center, two Formal Wizards observing the commotion on the second floor exchanged glances.
One resident Formal Wizard chuckled lightly. "Impressive, truly impressive. Who would've thought to combine Breeding Studies with Potionology to create a potion with broad-spectrum Magic Resistance that can adapt to different curses?"
"The Bear Spirit Emerald Bile Potion… It seems Lilith's Cottage is about to welcome another rising star in Potionology."
The other Formal Wizard happened to be Derrick Jones, the one who had overseen the Potionology Assistant examination.
Wizard Derrick Jones nodded. "I know this student."
"Half a year ago, he obtained his Potionology Assistant Certificate from me. Even then, I could tell he was extraordinary."
"As for this kind of Potion, I expect the academy will urge him to complete the third-phase experiments as soon as possible and actively provide assistance. By the way, is that special Magic Plant he cultivated being sold at the Chimera Market now?"
