Hearing her disciple moan so loud that even the heavens could hear, Fauna's face was the color of a ripe tomato.
Yelena's mouth hung open.
Nadia looked like she was trying to calculate the structural integrity of the door and whether it could survive much more abuse.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
"They told us they were finishing up!"
Yelena finally snapped, her voice cracking.
"They said they were just cleaning up! This isn't cleaning—this is—this is—"
"Destruction?" Nadia offered weakly.
"Desecration." Yelena corrected. "Of a perfectly good hospital door."
Fauna's indignation, genuine or otherwise, began to bubble over.
"Exactly! I'm going to give my disciple a piece of my mind. I know she's a young woman with a lot of vigor and passion, but still—"
She fidgeted with her hands, her fingers twisting together.
"This is too much! And she's right in front of her master! Does she really think I'm that gullible? That I won't notice her getting absolutely..."
