Aiko stepped closer slowly, her hand hesitating a moment before settling gently on his arm.
"Nash," she said, softer now. "It's okay... I'm okay. It's over."
He nodded, without really answering, his eyes landing on Jinzo one last time, the wheezing breath, the unrecognizable face, but still alive, his chest rising weakly.
Something twisted in his chest at the sight, a discomfort he didn't like feeling.
"It wasn't... supposed to go that far," he said quietly, almost to himself.
Rei stepped closer too, hesitant.
"Nash, he tried to rape her... You... it's normal to get angry, and you saved her—"
"I know," he cut in, not harsh, just tired. "I know what he did."
He stayed quiet for a moment, his eyes not leaving Jinzo, before shaking his head slightly, like he was trying to push the thought away, quickly wiping his bloodied knuckles against his pants.
"We don't have time for this," he said finally. "We really don't have time."
