Chapter 222 - Coronation of a God

Although Tang San didn't know why Xiao Wu and those ten "dogs" had suddenly vanished, it didn't matter. His gaze blazed as he stared at the massive door before him.

As long as he passed through that door, he would return to the place where he truly belonged—

To become the supreme deity presiding over the Divine Realm's central authority: the God of Asura.

Step by step, Tang San ascended the stairs leading toward the shining portal.

He wasn't in a hurry—he wanted to savor this moment, this feeling of standing at the edge of success.

A beautiful, intoxicating moment.

Tang San couldn't help but think about what he would do after becoming a god.

First of all, he could no longer tolerate Xiao Wu having any connection with other men.

After becoming a god, he would purify her completely—body and soul—

and make her once again the same Xiao Wu who had eyes only for him in their past life.

Next, there was his father.

In this life, Tang Hao had indeed done many things to disappoint him…

but still, he was his father, a useful pawn—reliable, and connected by blood.

The position of Plane Lord, even as a secondary god, was too vital to entrust to outsiders.

Once he resurrected his father, Tang San decided, he would erase all his current-life memories,

leaving only those from his previous life—making him both obedient and trustworthy.

Then came his mother, A Yin.

Although part of Tang San was curious about what it might feel like to have Tang Xiao as his father, the reality was that Tang Hao was the rightful one.

As a son, Tang San could never allow his mother to love another man.

The Tang family must remain pure and united, a harmonious and loyal household that would serve as the foundation of Tang San's empire.

So, once he became a god, he would also resurrect his mother, cleanse her memories,

and make her live peacefully beside Tang Hao, a model couple, serving as two core "pieces" under his control.

And then—Yu Xiaogang.

At the mere thought of that name, Tang San's dark face twisted into a feral grin.

He muttered to himself like a madman:

"Hahahaha… Yu Xiaogang! I've waited for this moment for so long. Once I become a god, I'll raise you to the highest pedestal, only to crush you down to the dirt, give you hope and then take everything away, make you crawl like a worm in the mud!"

All his life, Tang San had been shackled by Yu Xiaogang's moral chains.

Now—finally—it was time for revenge. The thought filled his heart with savage delight.

Next came Xiao Wu's ten "male friends."

Tang San's expression contorted even more grotesquely as their names crossed his mind.

"Dai Mubai… Ma Hongjun… Oscar…"

His voice grew cold and venomous.

"You bastards! Did you really think that the oaths you swore in the Asura God's realm still bind me?

That I, Tang San, would remain limited by the will of a previous Asura God?

Ridiculous. Even if I am, there are ten thousand ways I can twist that will to my favor and I'll personally remake your fates."

"Letting me become Asura God will be the greatest mistake of your lives!"

His eyes gleamed with violent ecstasy.

Then, from the deepest corners of his memory, a name surfaced The true culprit behind all his misfortunes:

Huo Yuhao.

Yes. In Tang San's mind, he was the root of all evil.

"If that ungrateful brat had just stayed obedient loyal to my Tang family like the good dog he was meant to be then I would still be the reigning God King, ruling over the Divine Realm! Xiao Wu would still belong solely to me, my parents would live happily together, and the seeds of Life and Destruction would already be mine!"

"My son Tang Wulin would have inherited the Golden Dragon King's power and lured the Silver Dragon King to bear their child creating the new Dragon God, the supreme deity of the cosmos!"

Everything had been within his grasp until Huo Yuhao betrayed him.

"But it's fine," Tang San growled, stepping further toward the door,

 his voice twisted with madness.

"Huo Yuhao… this lifetime has been filled with suffering, but that changes nothing. The fact remains that I will become a god ten thousand years before you ever can! And now—the Asura Gate stands before me!"

Tang San reached out and touched the glowing relief sculpture.

The carving began to rotate, clicking into position before the door slowly opened.

Behind it spun a vortex of condensed energy, a portal into the unknown.

"Just one more step…" he murmured, eyes burning with fanatical zeal.

"Once I cross this threshold, I will be crowned a god not just a Sea God with mere 100% affinity, but a more powerful Asura God!"

He extended his hand into the swirling energy.

"Huo Yuhao… I've had ten thousand years to plan your punishment. There's no need to rush. I'll enjoy this moment first."

Tang San spread his arms wide, basking in the energy vortex.

"Come, my Asura Godhood.

 Crown me! Make me divine!"

And with that, he fully stepped into the gate.

At that very moment Xiao Wu was training with Dai Mubai, Ma Hongjun, Oscar, and the others,

cultivating their Martial Soul Fusion Techniques.

Not far from where they trained, another door of energy shimmered.

From within it, a strange, dark-skinned, green-haired, short-limbed creature emerged—

its face twisted with a mixture of rage and disbelief.

The creature froze, staring at the eleven people in front of it, all deeply engrossed in their very intense training.

Its face contorted even further.

Nearby, waiting in line, Yu Tianheng looked over at a petrified, distorted-faced monster standing at the entrance of the Gate of Asura and greeted him and waved casually.

"Yo, yo, yo! Look who's finally here—Tang San! Took you long enough!"

Tang San's already deformed expression struggled to return to normal.

He shouted, his voice trembling with fury:

"You—you're all here?! And Xiao Wu too! I—I am the new Asura God! Xiao Wu is my wife!

 How dare you—how dare you—!"

Oscar sneered coldly.

"Tang San, drop the act. You're not Asura God—not yet, anyway.

Didn't you notice? Even after stepping through that gate, you're still just a level 99 Limit Douluo."

"Do you know why?"

Tang San froze, eyes widening in confusion. He had completed the God Test… so why?

Feng Xiaotian grinned mockingly.

"Because the ten of us each hold one-tenth of the Asura God's affinity.

We're the shareholders who decide who inherits the god's position."

"And now, we're here—to preside over your coronation."

"What did you just say? You're telling me I still need you all to crown me before I can become a god?"

Tang San roared in disbelief.

"Ah, that's right,"

Bule replied casually while still cultivating a Martial Soul Fusion Technique with Xiao Wu.

"Without us, you can't become a god at all."

"NANI—!"

Tang San was completely dumbfounded.

He had endured the Will of Asura's trial seventy-two times, dying over and over again just to qualify for the Asura God Examination.

He had suffered humiliation, endured countless hardships, and finally passed eight of the nine trials.

He was now at the last stage—the Ninth Trial.

But just when he thought he had made it, the last test split into eighteen separate restrictions, each requiring him to kneel and kowtow three times.

After struggling through endless torment, he had finally reached the end—ready to enjoy the fruits of victory.

And now these people were telling him—

He still needed these ten bastards to crown him?!

Tang San clutched his head, his hair flaring wildly. His face twisted as he beat his chest like a maddened baboon and let out a strangled shriek:

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"

"Shut up! Stop howling like a dog!"

 Dai Mubai barked angrily.

"Don't interrupt my fusion training with Xiao Wu,"

 Bule snapped impatiently.

Yu Tianheng crossed his arms and added coldly:

"So noisy. Do you even want the Asura God position anymore? Believe it or not, we can revoke your qualification right now."

Tang San fell silent instantly.

Xiao Wu looked pitifully at him and said softly:

"Brothers, Ah San-gēgē has been through a lot. At least let him finish his coronation."

Then she turned toward Tang San with an apologetic expression:

"Ah San-gēgē, I'm sorry… Yu Tianheng and the others said that before helping with your coronation, they need me to finish cultivating the Fusion Technique with them. Please endure it a little longer. Once we're done, they'll help you complete your godhood ceremony."

Tang San lowered his head. His long green hair hung down, concealing the grotesque twist of his face—so warped by humiliation and fury that it looked like a wormhole capable of warping time and space.

Fifteen hours later, at the Asura God Coronation Ceremony,

Tang San stood at the center of the divine hall, surrounded by Xiao Wu's ten male "best friends" in a perfect circle.

Each of them raised a hand, releasing streams of green energy that converged above Tang San's head, forming a glowing emerald crown.

The crown slowly descended from the air toward him.

"Catch it well, Little San," said Yu Tianheng mockingly. "This is the godhood we're granting you."

"Once it's on your head, you'll be a true god," Xue Beng said cheerfully. "Aren't you happy, master?"

"Smile while you receive it, understand?" Ma Hongjun added.

"And remember to be grateful," Dai Mubai said sternly. "Never forget who helped you today."

Standing in the middle of their voices, Tang San could only tell himself over and over again—

Endure it… just endure it…

He looked up at the descending green crown. His eyes burned with obsession. He could feel it—it truly was the manifested form of the Asura God's position.

Once it touched his head, he would officially ascend as a god.

As for why the crown was green, or why it had been shaped this way… Tang San no longer cared about such details. He only cared about becoming divine.

The coronation went smoothly—no surprises. The green crown settled perfectly onto Tang San's head.

A massive surge of divine power enveloped him. Tang San rose into the air, trembling with excitement.

"I can feel it! The divine power—it's flooding me! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA—!"

At that moment, his soul rings appeared:

Black, black, black, black, black, black, red, red, red—nine rings in total.

Then, the green divine light condensed around the outer edge of his ninth ring, forming a tenth green divine ring.

Thus, Tang San's new configuration became:

Six black, three red, and one green ring.

As the green ring formed, even his previous nine rings were tinged with the same shimmering green hue.

In the vast Asura Divine Hall, Tang San's crazed laughter echoed:

"HAHAHAHAHA! I've done it! I've become a god! I—Tang San—am the Asura God!"

But his laughter slowly faded.

His ecstatic face began to contort—first confusion, then disbelief, and finally, pure rage.

His expression twisted so severely that it again resembled a science-fictional wormhole ready to swallow time itself.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH—!"

Tang San threw up his arms and pounded his chest like a deranged ape.

"WHY?! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?! THIS ISN'T THE Asura GOD POSITION—!"

What had enraged Tang San so completely?

After inheriting the so-called divine seat, he was horrified to discover that his Asura God power was incredibly weak. At first, he thought it was a mistake

But when he examined it closely, he realized his Asura position was only a First-Class God,

and even weaker than his former Sea God position!

The Law of Judgment that defined the Asura God's authority was gone.

All that remained was a Law of Slaughter,

and bizarrely an additional, meaningless Law of Forgiveness.

He had given up the Sea God's throne precisely because the Asura position was supposed to be a God King seat—the highest divine level!

But now, it was weaker than before.

Had all his sacrifices been for nothing?!

Worse still—Tang San soon uncovered the horrifying truth behind his new godhood.

His divine affinity—his 100% compatibility with the Asura position—

had been divided and shared by Xiao Wu's ten male companions!

In other words, those ten were the real directors behind the "Asura God Limited Company,"

and Tang San was merely the acting manager.

Whether he could even remain the Asura God depended entirely on their approval!

He had chosen to inherit the Asura God position in this life because he wanted to enjoy it alone to cut off the weakness tied to Xiao Wu that had cost him the godhood last time.

But now, not only was his divine seat shared he had ten co-gods sitting on his head!

Tang San felt as though he had climbed mountains and crossed oceans to find a legendary treasure only to open the chest and find a pile of dung.

No one sympathized with him. Instead, a barrage of scolding voices hit him from all sides—

"Tang San, stop screaming! Believe it or not, I'll strip that Asura title right off you!" Dai Mubai snapped.

"You've already been given the position. Learn to be content, then get out of this space. Stop disturbing our lives with Xiao Wu." Yu Tianheng said coldly.

And thus, under the brilliant gleam of his green crown, the newly ascended "Asura God" Tang San stood there—not as a Supreme God, but as the most humiliated man in the entire divine realm.
