Chapter 313 - Thunder Tribulation Blocks the Path

This sword strike once again shaped the world within her into a true realm of sword dao.

Boom.

The divine thunderbolt fell but was fiercely cut apart by the sword light.

The collision triggered a massive explosion. A mushroom cloud shot into the sky, and its shockwave quickly spread outward.

Song Qingyun and the others frowned, retreating step by step. If they had been a moment slower, the powerful shockwave would have swept them up, causing trouble for Wanníng.

Puff.

Song Wanníng was hit hard by the shockwave. She was blasted away and slammed into the ground, carving out a pit more than ten meters deep.

The mushroom cloud still rose, barely dissipated, when another divine thunderbolt struck it, shattering it completely before descending toward the pit where Song Wanníng lay.

She rolled over and stood up immediately, wiping blood from the corner of her mouth. Her longsword was already swinging again. Her eyes were resolute as she pushed her internal power to the limit.

Against divine thunder, ordinary techniques were useless. Only the world within her could hold its ground for a moment. But each successive thunderbolt grew stronger. How long this stance could hold was uncertain even to her.

Rumble.

The thunderbolt collided again with her sword light, creating an even larger mushroom cloud.

Song Wanníng was blasted backward once more.

Puff.

She crashed into the ground hard, her organs shaken as if out of place. Blood soaked into the soil beneath her and quickly sank away. She coughed lightly, clutching her chest as she forced herself to get up.

Then another roar sounded. The divine thunderbolt struck again, giving her no chance to react. Usually, during tribulations, there was a brief pause between thunderbolts, but Song Wanníng had none.

So she charged forward once more.

This time, the explosion was somewhat weaker, but more of the thunderbolts hit her body. Gritting her teeth, she struggled up from the pit. As expected, another divine thunderbolt suddenly struck.

She had no time to perform a sword technique, so she summoned precious treasures from her storage ring with a thought.

Powerful artifacts could deflect some of the thunderbolt's force. She had anticipated this and gathered all such treasures in one place.

Now, with a single thought, several treasures flew out to intercept the divine thunderbolt.

Boom.

The thunderbolt slammed fiercely into those treasures.

The artifacts, valuable enough to spark battles if released, shattered instantly into ash.

They disintegrated so quickly no trace remained.

Though mentally prepared, Song Wanníng still flinched.

These divine thunderbolts were growing fiercer.

The leftover thunderbolt energy struck Song Wanníng. Relying on her body's strength, she endured and collapsed back into the pit.

To prevent more damage, ignoring the pain, she suddenly sat up and slashed her longsword.

Another thunderbolt fell.

Sword light clashed with it, triggering another explosion.

One artifact was thrown out, quickly absorbing over half the remaining force.

Finally, Song Wanníng could catch her breath and flew out of the pit.

She expected the thunderbolt to strike again, but after a few breaths, there was no sign of movement.

Surprised, she looked up. Suddenly her face changed.

Above the sky, what had been countless divine thunderbolts now transformed into a single thunder soldier.

The small thunder soldier stared coldly at Song Wanníng below, eyes filled with murderous intent.

Her heart trembled and her anger flared hotter.

The Heavenly Dao of the Mùsù system really had long reach, even summoning thunder soldiers. With such power, no wonder the Heavenly Dao fragments could not stand against it.

At the foot of the mountain, the arriving cultivators were dumbfounded upon seeing the thunder soldier.

It was a legendary and terrifying existence.

Most cultivators faced ordinary thunder tribulations. The exact intensity varied by person.

Some rare cultivators might face divine thunder — one in ten thousand.

Thunder soldiers were only found in ancient legends.

"My heavens, I've lived a thousand years, but this is my first time seeing a thunder soldier…"

"What kind of unforgivable crime did Song Zūnzhǔ commit to be targeted by a thunder soldier?"

"Probably because of all the Divine Transformation cultivators she destroyed before. Her karma must be massive."

"Still, this is terrifying. Can Song Zūnzhǔ survive this tribulation?"

"Who knows? Sigh…"

These cultivators had come because they sensed the tribulation. Seeing this scene, none dared approach closer, only watching from afar.

Song Qingyun and Mu Yuan held their breath, staring at the thunder soldier in horror.

Especially the thunder hammer it wielded—it sent chills down their spines.

Rumble.

The thunder hammer slammed down toward Song Wanníng. It looked ordinary, but the thunderlight that followed was twice as strong as before.

Song Wanníng's heart jumped. She swung her sword to strike.

She drew all her internal energy and cut fiercely at the thunderlight.

Still, it was not enough.

Her expression hardened. Without hesitation, she began to draw power from the dragon vein.

The dragon vein was ancient and enduring, hiding terrifying strength.

Everyone saw a massive sword slash out.

Then boom.

The surrounding mountains crumbled. The shock shook tens of miles of terrain, flipping the landscape.

Cultivators panicked, fleeing wildly. Some weaker ones were scared out of their minds.

Who would have thought that merely witnessing a senior's tribulation would almost turn into a disaster for themselves?

Far away, they were pale and trembling.

Looking up, the thunderbolt was cut in half at waist level. Song Wanníng was blasted several hundred meters backward but just managed to steady herself in midair.

Her long robe was tattered, the jade hairpin in her bun broken early on. Her black hair streamed freely in the wind.

She stood there with longsword in hand, like a war god descended to earth, awe-inspiring and terrifying.

That figure struck like a flash of lightning into their souls, leaving a lasting impression.

Rumble.

The thunder soldier seemed enraged, swinging its hammer down again. Its eyes showed no mercy, only endless fury and killing intent.

Song Wanníng gripped her longsword tightly. Her hatred surged like a waterfall, flooding her completely.

Too much insolence!

An invader trying every means to exterminate the natives. Shameless!

Boom.

Her longsword slashed out, accompanied by boundless power.

Several mushroom clouds rose together, almost piercing the sky.
