Chapter 325 - Cannibal Valley

"Sect master, right now every disciple of Medicine King Sect has a copy of this wanted notice. Everyone is eager to get their hands on that precious ten-thousand-year spirit herb!"

The disciple didn't understand why the sect master wanted him to investigate, but he knew the importance of this person.

The most secretive battles always took place between the Eastern and Southern Domains, since they were all human territories and everyone wanted to claim superiority.

Because of this, the relationship between Guhan Sect and Medicine King Sect was never good.

"Outrageous!"

Luo Hantian clenched his fists, his face dark.

Mu Zixu was a senior who had already ascended, yet he still targeted a junior like this.

Even after ascending, he would not let go.

What a petty-minded man.

He had even spoken well of him before… Now, telling Song Wanníng about this made Luo Hantian feel embarrassed. "This person is a newly inducted true disciple of our Guhan Sect. Medicine King Sect really has some nerve!

Order all disciples in the Eastern Domain to protect Song Wanníng with their lives if they encounter her. When Junior Brother Liu goes to pick her up, I want to see who among them can defeat him!"

Luo Hantian felt immensely relieved that he had sent the powerful Liu Xingzhi to support Song Wanníng. This had been the right choice.

Still worried, he sent a message to Liu Xingzhi explaining Song Wanníng's situation, ordering him to hurry with no delay.

Upon receiving the message, Liu Xingzhi's eyes flashed with killing intent, and in an instant, he vanished into the clouds.

Meanwhile, Song Wanníng also received Luo Hantian's message. They had exchanged new communication talismans, no longer needing the Trial Tower for contact.

Hearing Luo Hantian's slightly embarrassed voice, Song Wanníng did not mind. After a few messages, she put away the talisman.

Her expression was very heavy.

She was only at the early Void Refinement stage, a rookie just after ascending. She feared she could not resist Medicine King Sect's disciples.

It seemed she would have to hide for now until Guhan Sect's people came to get her.

Judging from the sect master's tone, the reinforcements were very strong, and Medicine King Sect could not be provoked. So her only job was to avoid being found by Medicine King Sect as much as possible.

"Damn Medicine King Sect. Damn Mu Zixu. What a petty mind!"

Xiao Jin was furious and about to curse more when a thought came from Song Wanníng's sea of consciousness—her own clone.

The clone had passed through a canyon and sensed something off. It asked if Song Wanníng wanted to investigate.

Song Wanníng originally didn't want trouble at such a critical time, but through the clone's eyes, she discovered a natural barrier in the canyon. It was like receiving a pillow when you wanted to sleep—she had been worried about hiding spots, and this was perfect.

Surely Medicine King Sect wouldn't find it without effort.

"Wait there and don't get discovered. I'll be right there!"

After agreeing, Song Wanníng packed up, wore a straw hat, and quickly melted into the crowd, leaving the city in the blink of an eye.

Not long after she left, Medicine King Sect disciples holding her portrait arrived at an inn to ask about her. Learning someone had seen her earlier, they got excited and searched the third floor.

To no avail.

"Let's go. She can't have gotten far. We chase!"

The group split up, pursuing Song Wanníng from different directions.

One chose the way outside the city.

Outside the canyon, the clone waited for some time before merging back with Song Wanníng the moment she arrived.

Song Wanníng examined the canyon and activated all her defensive treasures. Then she pulled out a celestial artifact and entered.

About half an hour later, the Medicine King Sect disciples pursuing her stopped at the canyon entrance, their faces grim.

This was Cannibal Valley. Inside, dangers lurked everywhere. The outer barriers were hard to break. They couldn't enter, and the woman inside was impossible to follow.

Thinking it over, the disciples turned back and continued their pursuit elsewhere.

They could almost smell the spirit herb falling into their hands and refused to miss it.

On the other side, Song Wanníng successfully entered the valley. A stone tablet beside her bore the three large characters: "食人谷" — Cannibal Valley.

"Cannibal Valley? Sounds dangerous."

A flash of caution crossed her eyes as she grew even more vigilant.

Looking up, white mist obscured everything.

But the biting cold wind blew fiercely from all directions, stinging Song Wanníng's face. Despite her spirit shield and defensive treasures, the wind seemed to penetrate everything, chilling her bones deeply.

She shivered involuntarily and hurried behind the nearest rock for cover. Getting closer, she found the rock towering into the clouds, jagged and uneven, yet emitting a strange glow.

She tried to extend her divine sense, but the moment it touched the white mist, it felt like burning and immediately recoiled.

Divine sense was useless here.

Helpless, Song Wanníng had to cautiously explore on her own.

She planned first to find a safe, windless spot to hide. If there were any treasures here, she would take them—after all, she was no longer the unlucky one from the lower realm.

Though she couldn't compare to the invader's overwhelming Luck, she wasn't nearly as doomed as before. Song Wanníng's mindset remained excellent—that was already a great improvement.

"Senior Brother, this place is called Cannibal Valley. I've wanted to come here for a long time, but the complex barriers always blocked me. I never expected to get a chance to see it with you."

Xie Qinglan's eyes sparkled as she gazed at Xiao He Yun in admiration, thinking of how he had effortlessly dismantled the barrier to bring her in.

Xiao Heyun's past life was a failure, but this life he enjoyed all the envy and worship. Xie Qinglan's admiration made him float on air.

"No problem. I'll take you to more places in the future."

Xiao Heyun's cold expression softened with a trace of care, making Xie Qinglan blush shyly.

She turned away, heart full of sweetness. No matter how cold he was to outsiders, he cared deeply for her.

Now the only barrier between them was the last hesitation.

Once broken, she would ask her father to hold a grand wedding so she could marry Senior Brother with glory.

Xie Qinglan grew shyer thinking of this and hurried off.

Seeing her flushed neck, desire flickered briefly in Xiao Heyun's eyes.

Once he had her full favor, he planned to take her to bed immediately.

This delicate, perfect body was his alone.

The more Xiao Heyn thought, the more excited he grew, cursing the system for assigning him this character. If only they had given him the role of a playboy and libertine.

He could have deceived these women just as easily.

Snorting coldly, Xiao Heyun followed after her.

He had already scouted Cannibal Valley and set traps for Xie Qinglan, waiting for her to fall right into them.
