Chapter 584 - Monster Who Commands the Dao’s Wrath

That line hit him like a slap to the face, mocking his stupidity. He never expected someone in the Unity stage could actually have such skill, enough to make him suffer.

The Patriarch of the snake clan was just as shocked. He glared at Song Wanníng and barked, "Who the hell are you? Why've we never heard of you before?"

With power like this, there's no way they shouldn't have heard her name.

Seeing the two of them shifting their hostility toward her, Song Wanníng didn't look afraid at all. A faint smile tugged at her lips as she replied calmly, "Does it matter who I am? Our common enemy's Gong Ye, isn't he? We should be working together. Don't let Gong Ye drag you into a pit and make the wrong choice."

Her eyes gleamed coldly as they slid across Gong Ye. The hint of a smile at the corners of her mouth carried a hidden meaning. "Yes, I did trap Hua Kongque, but only because she tried to harm me. I could've killed her, but I gave her life for the sake of the Peacock clan.

And besides, aren't the beast clans supposed to stand united? Who'd have thought Gong Ye would be so ruthless to her? Even I didn't expect that. Her death has nothing to do with me."

She spoke with unshakable confidence. After all, she could've ended Hua Kongque with her own hands, but she hadn't. What came after was Gong Ye's choice. He couldn't possibly shove all the blame onto her.

The Patriarch of the Peacock clan's face shifted again, his eyes sharp as poisoned blades stabbing into Gong Ye. She was right. Gong Ye was the one truly responsible. But that woman wasn't innocent either. Once Gong Ye was dead, he'd make sure she paid the price too.

The Patriarch of the Peacock clan struck at Gong Ye again. His body was already covered in wounds, yet his attacks remained vicious, his speed only increasing.

Seeing this, the snake clan Patriarch gave Song Wanníng another measuring glance. He knew this was the perfect chance to deal with Gong Ye, so he dove back into the fight without hesitation.

The two of them unleashed everything, showing just how determined they were to kill him.

Song Wanníng didn't leave either. With such a golden opportunity, why would she?

Her eyes turned cold. This time, she didn't bother to hide her strength. She unleashed one of the divine powers she'd just begun to comprehend.

The divine arts of the golden dragons were terrifying.

Leaving aside their natural imperial aura, even the Supreme Dragon Flame alone was enough to make other beasts shiver. On top of that, golden dragons could summon rain, command lightning, and even brush against the Laws of Heaven and Earth.

They could step through the void, touch the flow of time itself.

Song Wanníng had only just scratched the surface, but she'd already learned enough. Once her mastery matured, she'd be able to manifest the Dharma Form, blotting out the sky. And the dragon's unmatched physique and defense…

With time, Song Wanníng would shed her old self entirely.

One day, even in the Immortal Realm, she'd be someone of renown.

A flash of icy light glinted in her eyes. In the next instant, her figure slipped behind Gong Ye. She opened her mouth wide, and a torrent of Dragon Flame burst forth, sweeping toward him. At the same time, her fist slammed toward his side. As if she'd predicted his movements, Gong Ye twisted to dodge the punch and ran straight into the wall of Dragon Flame.

"Ahhh!"

Agonizing pain ripped through him. Even Gong Ye couldn't hold back. He flailed in a frenzy, but the Dragon Flame only spread faster across his body. In the blink of an eye, he was swallowed in fire. His screams rang out as his robes burned away, then even his flesh began to blister and char under the merciless flame.

The stench of roasting flesh filled the air. His face twisted with pain, and his body plummeted from midair, rolling as he desperately tried to extinguish the fire.

The two Patriarchs faltered when they saw this. They exchanged a wary glance, then looked back at Song Wanníng. For the first time, true fear flickered in their eyes. They'd been so confident before, but now they understood just how different she was. Still, it was the best chance to finish Gong Ye, so they pressed the attack without mercy.

Where would Gong Ye find the strength to fight back now?

Already injured, he was forced to take the blows head-on, sent flying with a thunderous crash. He smashed through wall after wall before crashing heavily into the ground.

Boom!

He hit the earth, and in the next breath, a bolt of Purple Heaven Divine Thunder crashed straight down onto his head.

The two Patriarchs, who were about to chase him, froze on the spot. Their gazes whipped to Song Wanníng just in time to see her retracting her hand. Their faces instantly turned pale.

That was the Purple Heaven Divine Thunder!

The Nine Heavens Divine Thunder was Heaven's punishment, but the Purple Heaven Divine Thunder was punishment from the Dao itself. It was the punishment of the Laws, delivered by the embodiment of the Rules themselves. This thunder was so rare that even in ancient records it was barely mentioned, let alone seen with one's own eyes. Yet not only had they witnessed it, they'd seen it being wielded by someone. If they hadn't seen it for themselves, they would never believe it.

So now, when they looked at Song Wanníng, their eyes held more than wariness.

They were afraid.

Even having touched the threshold of the Laws, they still felt an overwhelming fear. What kind of monster was this woman? How could she command the Purple Heaven Divine Thunder?

It was absurd, unreal.

Both Patriarchs were left stunned.

Song Wanníng's expression remained calm, but inside she was shaken. Her inherited memories had mentioned it, but seeing the thunder with her own eyes still made her heart race. The Purple Heaven Divine Thunder carried Dao runes within it…

Unfortunately, her strength was too shallow. What she'd summoned was only a trace of its aftershock. Otherwise, just that single bolt would've reduced Gong Ye to ashes instantly.

A metallic taste rose in her throat. She quietly wiped away the blood from her lips, pretending nothing had happened. Summoning the Purple Heaven Divine Thunder had drained her dry. That one strike had consumed most of her spiritual power. She couldn't summon it again. If she were in the Immortal Realm, things might be different.

As thoughts spun through her mind, her gaze never left the two Patriarchs, who were still striking at Gong Ye. A faint smile curved her lips.

They hated Gong Ye to the bone.

Even wrapped in Purple Heaven Divine Thunder, they didn't hesitate. Instead, they doubled their assault, piling on every bit of force to finish him off. His anguished screams echoed through the hall. He must've been suffering beyond belief.

But the purple lightning completely engulfed him, so even the Patriarchs couldn't see what was happening inside.

I'm not sure if I've ever said this before, but one of my favorite game genres is MMORPGs.On PC, I play Guild Wars 2, and on Android, I've been playing Gaia Odyssey, A3: Still Alive, and Lineage 2: Revolution. That was back around 2020, I think? So yeah, about five years ago. Oh, and SAO IF too!

I started playing Gaia Odyssey and A3 right when they launched in my country, and I've been playing SAO IF ever since.

My usernames? I use Richark for Gaia and A3, and Rikhi for Lineage and SAO IF. My Richark character's around level 200, while Rikhi is somewhere around 350 (I think? Maybe? I kinda forgot lol).

Anyway, I seriously love Gaia Odyssey. It's just light and fun to play.

And A3? The story and graphics? Damn, they're so good. So pleasing to the eyes.

And SAO IF—I've always loved Sword Art Online, especially versions that let me customize my avatar (I love that I can choose the gender instead of being stuck as a male MC). That's also why I play Fatal Bullet on PC.

These three games, I downloaded and played them all the moment they officially launched here.As for Lineage, honestly... I forgot why and when I started playing it (please don't judge me 😭).

So anyway, I started translating and uploading here about five months ago—around June—and since then, I haven't really touched my mobile games. The last time I played was early August. Then today (Oct 23), I opened my games again on my laptop since my phone storage's full and my laptop still has some space.

And guess what? Out of nowhere, I got a mail notification in A3 saying the server will shut down on 2025/11/18.

I was SHOCKED. Like, what the actual fuck? That's less than a month away!!

God, I'm so stressed about it. I mean, the game's honestly so damn good—the story, the visuals, the characters, everything!

It hurts knowing it's ending.

Then I opened Gaia Odyssey and saw a notice about a big update coming on December 2.At least that one's still alive, but man… my A3 character.I even made a guild there, got it up to level 4, and I was the guild leader, dammit! Now it's been demoted back to level 1—probably because there aren't enough active players anymore. Still, it's such a waste. Seriously, what a shame...

Like... dayummm.

Ugh...

This is actually the second game I've played that's shutting down.

The first one was Uta Macross Sma-Pho De-Culture (歌マクロス スマホDeカルチャー), a Japanese rhythm game for the Macross franchise. That series is legendary—mecha, war, songs, and love triangles all mixed together.

It's kinda like AKB0048—mecha, idols, and space battles.
