He summoned Tayuya and calmly implanted the modified Curse Mark on her.
The process went smoothly.
Tayuya had already once endured the original Curse Mark of Earth. Compared to that, the simplified Curse Mark was hardly a challenge.
After finishing, Kitazawa teleported to the ANBU base.
He casually picked up the first stack of documents on the desk.
The hottest topic in the ninja world right now was, of course, the Akatsuki Organization's capture of Kumogakure's Two-Tails and Eight-Tails.
The file in his hand detailed the current situation in Kumogakure after their devastating defeat.
Many of Kumogakure's jonin had been killed, but since Akatsuki's goal was strictly the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails, the village itself hadn't suffered catastrophic damage.
In short, most of Kumogakure's core strength was still intact.
Moreover, the Fourth Raikage was alive.

The Heavenly Transfer Technique was a spaceâtime ninjutsu primarily meant for transporting objects. To use it on a living shinobi, that person needed an exceptionally sturdy body.
In the original story, only the Third Raikage, the Fourth Raikage, and Tsunade could withstand being transported by the Heavenly Transfer Technique.
Kitazawa rubbed his chin.
For him, the Fourth Raikage surviving was actually a good thing.
Because the Fourth Raikage would definitely trigger related system missions.
Kitazawa picked up the second document.
He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
The other four Great Ninja Villages had already established contact with one another while sidestepping Konoha.
Calling it "bypassing" wasn't quite accurate, though.

Following Kitazawa's orders, ANBU had been monitoring Akatsuki, but they had never set foot in the Land of Rain.
As a result, intelligence on Akatsuki was still rather vague.
According to this report, after capturing the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails, the Akatsuki had returned to the Land of Rain and made no further moves.
Kitazawa fell silent, thinking.
At this time, Akatsuki was most likely having the Gedo Statue absorb the Tailed Beasts.
They were only missing the Seven-Tails and Nine-Tails, after all.
His gaze sharpened.
He had no intention of saving those Jinchuriki; his interest lay in the Gedo Statue itself.

Konan wasn't there.
Kitazawa wasn't surprised.
She was definitely with the other Akatsuki members, using the Phantom Dragons Seal Technique to help the Gedo Statue absorb the Tailed Beasts.
That was also why he hadn't teleported directly to her side with Flying Thunder God.
He wasn't in a hurry. Sitting down on the edge of the bed, he began to ponder a non-tailed beast version of the Yin Release Chakra Mode.
With the Yang Release Chakra Mode as a reference, deriving a Yin Release Chakra Mode wasn't particularly difficult.

Throughout it all, Konan's expression remained as cold and composed as ever, silently allowing him to do as he wished.
"When does the Akatsuki plan to go to Konoha Village?" Kitazawa asked bluntly.
"Probably in about two months," Konan replied.
Kitazawa nodded.
That matched his expectations. The GedĆ Statue needed time to absorb the Tailed Beasts, and at the moment Akatsuki wasn't just incompleteâthe strength of their newer recruits had fallen off considerably.
Two months was definitely good news for him.
With that much time, he was confident he could complete the system mission of forming the new Konoha Sannin.
And it wasn't just that mission.
Tasks like having Naruto unlock the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode could also be finished by then.
Once that happened, the Uzumaki bloodline would grant him even more chakra.
"Thank you."
Kitazawa's hand slid upward, coming to rest over Konan's heart.
Through her fair skin, he could feel her heartbeat.
"Mm."
Konan answered softly. Her expression didn't change, but her breathing had turned slightly hurried.
Kitazawa's gaze drifted to her rosy lips.
Tsunade and Kurenai weren't as obedient as Konan, and it had been a while since he'd had this kind of "special" experience.
He withdrew his hand.
Konan instinctively glanced up at him, understanding immediately when she caught the look in his eyes.
She sank to her knees and looked up.
Kitazawa lowered his head to meet her gaze.
From this angle, he could clearly see Konan's snow-white backâunsurprising, given the backless bodysuit she wore.
He reached out and gently stroked her head.
His hand slid down to her neck.
The skin there was uneven, tinged faintly purple.
"Do you remember what I told you before?" Kitazawa sighed.
Konan rolled her eyes.
"Before you guys go to Konoha Village, arrange a meeting for me with Nagato," Kitazawa said, watching Konan's bobbing head. "Remember not to notify a second person."
Konan froze for a moment.
Did Kitazawa know about Nagato?
But thinking it through, it was only natural. Nagato had already exposed the Rinnegan during the attack on Kumogakure. Jiraiya would definitely be able to guess his identity and inform the other ninja of Konoha.
Konan gave a muffled reply and lowered her head again to continue the job.
Her throat worked as she focused on this method to distract herself, trying not to think about who would win if Kitazawa and Nagato clashed.
Kitazawa winced, a strained grin crossing his face.
In his current "battle" with Konan, she clearly had the oral advantage.
Still, he wasn't worried.
His stamina was greater in the end.
Half an hour later, Kitazawa caught Konan's wrist and pulled her to her feet.
She collapsed onto his lap, body trembling slightly as she instinctively wrapped her arms around him.
She was tired of the oral massage and didn't feel like saying anything more.
Kitazawa patted her snow-white ass, admiring her exquisite figure, and suddenly felt her current outfit didn't suit her very well.
He mused to himself, planning to bring her some cheongsams, kimonos, secretary uniforms, maid outfits, and the like next time.
By then, it was already afternoon.
Kitazawa laid Konan down on the bed.
He pulled the blanket over her.
"I'm leaving now. See you next time."
He stroked her head, then vanished.
Konan closed her eyes and slipped into an exhausted sleep.
A new day dawned.
Kitazawa arrived at the Ninja Academy early in the morning.
With graduation drawing near, the students of the Genius Class had started coming in very early, training on the field before eight o'clock.
Kitazawa swept his gaze over them.
He didn't assign any new training content.
With only two weeks left, this period was mainly for reviewâconsolidating the ninjutsu and secret techniques they had already learned.
For example, he didn't plan to teach the standard version of the Yin Release Chakra Mode to Ino and the others yet; that would wait until after graduation.
The Partial Tailed Beast Transformation, howeverâHinata and Neji still had enough time, so he taught it to them.
As for giving the Curse Mark of Earth to Tayuya, that was also because she would be able to adapt in time for the graduation exam.
"Naruto."
After watching for a while, Kitazawa called out.
"Kitazawa-sensei!"
Naruto ran over immediately.
"I'm taking you to Turtle Island," Kitazawa said straight out.

Behind the roaring curtain of water lay a hidden sanctuary: a temple-like chamber with Buddha statues lined up on both sides, looming in the dim light.
"Naruto."
Kitazawa came to a halt. "In a moment, I'm going to undo Kyuubi's seal. What you need to do is seize its chakra."
"Got it, Kitazawa-sensei!"
Naruto threw him a thumbs-up, nodding hard.
He wasn't completely sure he could wrest that power away from Kyuubiâbut it didn't matter. He just had to believe in youth.
Kitazawa considered for a moment, then chose not to tell him about Kushina and Minato.
Seeing was believing.
Once Naruto saw them with his own eyes, he would understand everything.
Kitazawa had only one goal: extend the time Kushina and Minato could remain for as long as possible.
Naruto's childhood had been so miserable. It was time he received some compensation.
"Let's begin."
Kitazawa raised his hand and placed it on Naruto's forehead.
He had already mastered Kyuubi's sealing formula, so undoing it posed no difficulty. Besides, Turtle Island naturally suppressed Tailed Beasts; even if the seal was released, the jinchuriki wouldn't immediately run wild.
Not that it truly mattered.
With his Mangekyo and Wood Release, Kitazawa's control over Tailed Beasts far surpassed the island's. If Kushina and Minato failed to appear, he would personally intervene.
The seal unraveled.
Kyuubi instantly sensed his shackles falling away. Although his relationship with Naruto had improved, the chance at freedom was in front of himâso he didn't hesitate to surge outward.
Naruto stepped in his way, his own chakra lashing out to grasp the Kyuubi's.
A fierce tug-of-war began.
Kitazawa activated his Byakugan, tracking every shift in the chakra raging inside Naruto's body.
At first, the two sides were evenly matched.
But Kyuubi was still the strongest of the Tailed Beasts. His hatred exploded in full, and Naruto was quickly pushed back, unable to hold his ground.
Just as Naruto was being driven back step by step, two new chakras suddenly appeared.
They landed on either side of him, taking shape as a young man and woman.
Naruto glanced over on instinctâand froze.
Before this, Kitazawa had taken him to Rouran, back into the past through the Dragon Vein, where he had reunited with his parents. Originally, those memories should have been erased, but in the end, at Kitazawa's urging, they had been left intact.
So Naruto recognized them at once: Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina.
His first thought was that the Kyuubi had killed him. Otherwise, how could he be seeing his dead parents?
But something felt off almost immediately.
Because Kushina let out a roar, and several golden chains burst from her body, lashing out to bind Kyuubi tight.
"Naruto! Now's the time!"
Minato's voice cut through the chaos.
Naruto snapped back to his senses.
He didn't know what exactly was going on, but with Kyuubi restrained by Kushina, this was clearly his best chance.
He poured all his strength into it, yanking at Kyuubi's chakra.
Kyuubi roared in helpless fury, but he couldn't break free of Kushina's Adamantine Sealing Chains.
Moments later, joy spread across Naruto's face.
His chakra had merged with Kyuubi's.
He had successfully seized Kyuubi's power.
In other words, he now possessed the ability to use the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.
But for him, the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode was no longer the most important thing. His eyes were fixed on Minato and Kushina.
"Dad, Mom, why are you here?"
Naruto rushed over to them, asking excitedly.
Minato and Kushina both stiffened in surprise.
They hadn't expected Naruto to recognize them so quickly. After the incident with the Rouran Dragon Vein, their memories had been sealed, so they had no idea Naruto still retained his.
On top of that, they were only remnants of chakra. Within the Sealing Space, they couldn't see what was happening outside.
"If it's small talk, it can wait until later."
Minato and Kushina exchanged a glance, but neither of them had any recollection of this man.
Back when they were alive, Kitazawa had only been an ordinary ninja.
"I'm Kitazawa, Naruto's teacher."
Kitazawa raised his hand slightly. "Naruto can fill you in on my situation later."
Minato and Kushina only looked more confused at that.
Just as they were about to speak, their expressions abruptly changed to shock.
An overwhelming surge of chakra erupted from Kitazawa's palmâtwo distinct, massive currents.
The feeling of those chakras was achingly familiar to them, almost identical to their own.
While they were still stunned, the two chakras flowed straight into their respective bodies.
The faint, flickering outlines of their forms immediately solidified.
As kage-level shinobi, they grasped what was happening in an instant.
Kitazawa was using his own chakra to extend the time they could remain.
Along with gratitude came a deep sense of astonishment.
Because this was anything but simple.
Otherwise, in the original timeline, they wouldn't have disappeared so quickly.
They could have just used Naruto's chakra to maintain their existence.
Even if Naruto couldn't manage it, there were plenty of other ninja in Konoha they could have relied on.
"You can stay for a month now. After that, I can give you more chakra so you can continue to exist," Kitazawa said as he withdrew his hand.
"How do you understand this so well?"
Minato's eyes sharpened, confusion clear in his gaze.
From the moment Kitazawa appeared, he had acted as if he already knew everythingâincluding how to stabilize them with Chakra.
On top of that, his power was beyond anything they had ever seen in their lives.
This method of sustaining their presence was, in their eyes, far beyond anything the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, could have done.
"Kitazawa-sensei is really amazing!"
Naruto gave a thumbs up. "He's about to be the Sixth Hokage!"
"You guys talk," Kitazawa said tactfully. "I won't disturb your family reunion. You can ask Naruto anything you want to know."
"Thank you, Kitazawa," Minato said. He froze for a heartbeat, then bowed his head in genuine gratitude.
"Thank you!" Kushina added immediately.
Without Kitazawa's chakra, their time with Naruto might not have even lasted ten minutes.
Kitazawa simply nodded and left Naruto's Sealing Space.
The Flying Thunder God activated.
In the next instant, he brought Naruto back to the Forest of Death.
The moment Kitazawa's feet touched the ground, three lines of text appeared before his eyes.
[Current Mission: Help Uzumaki Naruto activate Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.]
[Mission Reward: Uzumaki Clan Bloodline.]

A thrill ran through Kitazawa.

He stood still, quietly feeling the changes within his body.

"About half a tail worth of chakra?" Kitazawa's first instinct was that it felt a bit lowâbut thinking it through, it was reasonable.
The Uzumaki Clan bloodline granted by the system was a standard one.
Kushina possessed a special variant of the Uzumaki bloodline.
Even so, half a tail's worth of chakra was already an absurd amount.
