Chapter 320 - The Battle Never Ends

Upon hearing this, the four people in the office exchanged glances. It hadn't even been a month since the last battle with Big Mom. Why was Kaido going after Alucard again? What was he playing at?

Sengoku temporarily set aside the Pacifista matter and suggested to Kong, "Kong-san, Garp and I should go take a look!"

A battle between two of the Three Monsters was no ordinary event and had to be monitored.

"No need, Sengoku," Tsuru said.

Sengoku turned to look at her, and Tsuru explained, "Knowing Kaido's personality, he's probably just venting his frustration after failing to get the Poneglyph rubbing from Charlotte Linlin. He's looking for a fight, just like how Mihawk enjoys fighting Shanks. There's no need for you and Garp to go on a grand monitoring mission."

"Oh, well, in that case, I'll go back and see how my grandson is doing. Give me a month off." With that, Garp couldn't wait any longer and strode out of the office.

"Wait, Garp, you can't just leave!" Kong stood up to stop him, but Garp was faster, jumping directly from the headquarters building. Unable to stop him, Kong sighed. The Zephyr situation had clearly upset Garp as well.

Kong sat back down. "So Tsuru, you mean we shouldn't worry about the battle between Kaido and Alucard?"

"There will definitely be no problems," Tsuru said with confidence. "...Hmm, I'll trust your judgment. The real issue is still Zephyr's..."

....

In the New World, on one of Alucard's islands.

Under the watchful eyes of many of Alucard's subordinates, including Dr. Indigo and Stragus, Alucard and Kaido stood facing each other on a barren, rocky plain in the middle of the island. Kaido had swum there alone, but as a precaution, a defensive perimeter was set up in the waters around the island to guard against an attack from the Beasts Pirates.

When the Kuja heard about the situation, Viola, the user of the Glare-Glare Fruit, used a Den Den Mushi to call and report that there were no other ships near Alucard's island, let alone the Beasts Pirates. This relieved everyone slightly, but they still took precautions and retreated.

Alucard, still wearing his sunglasses, stood opposite Kaido. A strong wind blew, causing both of their capes to flap loudly.

Alucard suddenly smiled. "So, after failing to get the rubbing from Charlotte Linlin, you came to vent on me?"

"GRAAAH!"

Kaido didn't respond. He let out a roar and swung his fist at Alucard. ROAR!

Suddenly, a pool of blood rose from beneath Alucard's feet. The black hound Baskerville burst out, sinking its sharp teeth into one of Kaido's arms. In the few seconds this bought him, Alucard pulled his white gun, Casull, from inside his coat and fired shot after shot at Kaido's massive body.

Kaido was forced back, retreating dozens of meters. He then pulled out the club from his back and smashed it violently into the ground. The immense force shattered the earth, creating a shockwave and sending debris flying like bullets to block the shots.

"Everyone, fall back now!" Stragus yelled. This wasn't a fight they could get involved in. "Everyone! If you don't want to die, get on the ship! Get as far away as possible!"

Before Shiki was imprisoned, he hadn't fought Kaido, so Stragus and the other former Golden Lion Pirates were curious about Kaido's strength. But with just one blow, they understood. It was hard to say if Kaido's power surpassed Shiki's, but it was definitely beyond anything they could handle.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Everyone quickly retreated toward the shore of the island, with one roar after another coming from behind them.

Once they were safely on the ship, Matthew and the others breathed a sigh of relief, watching the constantly shaking island. Their hearts were pounding along with it.

"He's a terrifying guy... Kaido of the Beasts."

Two hundred nautical miles away, on the sea, after Viola had just given the news to Wolf via Den Den Mushi that there were no other pirate ships nearby, Hancock impatiently rushed to her side. Scarlett stood right beside her sister.

"How is Master?" Hancock asked anxiously.

Due to heavy casualties in the battle against Whitebeard, both in terms of money and numbers, Hancock had organized another expedition. This time, Scarlett and Violet had also joined.

"The opponent is one of the Three Monsters, Kaido, but from what I can see with my all-seeing eyes, Alucard-san is fine," Viola said, choosing to be honest, as Hancock was her sister's "enemy" but also her captain.

"Kaido..." Hancock bit her teeth lightly. Her ruby-like eyes showed a fierce expression. "I'll tear him to shreds sooner or later!"

"Since he's a rival of the same caliber, there's no need to worry..." Scarlett also felt much more at ease.

At that moment, Sandersonia walked over. "That's an amazing power, the Glare-Glare Fruit."

Behind her stood Alucard's future ace, the Sea Emperor Poseidon, Shirahoshi. For now, however, she was just a girl who had just turned five.

And standing by Sandersonia's right foot, surrounded by many female pirates, was the girl from Fish-Man Island they had rescued a while ago, named Koala, with her shoulder-length orange hair and a light pink dress.

"Being able to see the situation for a radius of four thousand kilometers from the sky is truly incredible," Marigold said in agreement.

Besides her other skills, Viola's Glare-Glare Fruit ability alone was astonishing.

"Thank you," Viola replied gratefully. She then squinted her big eyes and warned, "There's a pirate ship at the 10 o'clock direction, about sixty nautical miles away!"

"How many people?" Hancock instantly shifted from her worried state to her Empress persona, walking to the bow of the ship and turning her back to Viola as she asked.

"From the deck, about 150 to 200 people. It's a medium-sized pirate crew," Viola quickly reported.

"You heard her, didn't you?" Hancock stood at the bow, looking down with her haughty Empress attitude. "Change course and take everything they have!"

"Yes, Snake Princess-sama!"

"It's time for a big show!"
