Chapter 36 - Chapter 35 – Song of the Serpent and the Sea

The next morning, I awoke with Luna curled beside me and Sasha resting peacefully on my chest.

"Good morning, dear!" Luna said cheerfully, her silver hair brushing my cheek.

My date with Aisha and Merlin had ended… and now, it was Luna and Sasha's turn.

After a quick wash with Luna, I realized—right, Sasha's a mermaid. She couldn't walk or slither like Luna could. So, I carried her gently to the bathroom and helped wash her face. Once cleaned up, we all got dressed for our outing.

Before heading out, I called them over.

"Luna! Sasha! Can you try wearing these?" I said, holding out two Kin Concealment artifacts.

Sasha blinked, inspecting the collar-shaped artifact. "What is this, Master? …Wait—is this a slave collar?!"

"Wait, what!? No! It's not—!" I tried to explain, but she cut me off.

"If Master wants that kind of thing… I'll obey… b-but it's not like I'm ready or anything!" she blurted out, flustered and blushing.

Luna sighed and gently explained, "It's not a slave collar, Sasha. It's a belt-like artifact that hides our kin traits and gives us human legs."

"Oho~! So with legs, I can do love stuff with Master now?" Sasha asked casually.

"W-what!? No, it's not like that!"

"Hmhm~ that might not be a bad idea," Luna teased. "Right, dear?"

"Luna, you too!?" I flailed. "Just wear them, please!"

As they activated the artifact, Luna's silver-scaled lamia tail was engulfed in light, transforming into sleek, beautiful legs. Sasha's koi-patterned mermaid tail did the same. Now, Luna stood about Yuki's height while Sasha was closer to Aisha's.

"So this is how humans walk," Luna murmured, examining her legs.

"It feels strange not having my tail... but—EEK!" Sasha screamed. She looked down, face turning red. "I'm naked down there! MASTER, YOU PERV!!"

"Oi! Take these!" I said, tossing her leggings in a panic.

Once properly dressed, we headed downstairs and out into Mavela City. I asked Luna where she wanted to go, and she suggested walking through town—maybe even heading toward Dendroit Town. Though wobbly at first, both girls slowly learned how to walk like humans.

As we strolled, Luna and Sasha held onto my arms. Sasha stopped to gaze longingly at a dress displayed in a boutique window.

"Do you want it?" I asked.

"Eh!? N-No! I don't want to trouble you," she said quickly.

"I can buy it for you."

"It's too expensive," she muttered.

"Hmm, maybe I'll ask Aisha," I said. "She might know someone new who can sew."

"Really?!" Sasha's eyes sparkled.

Luna leaned close and whispered in my ear. "Why Aisha? She can't even tie a knot."

"Maybe she can find someone who can sew."

"Oho~ dear wants to add another girl?" Luna giggled. "You're growing up! Hehe~"

"Luna! Shhh!"

"Just promise us we'll still be special… even if your harem grows." she said, smiling.

I nodded.

We reached the town center where a traveling merchant from overseas had set up shop. He was selling souvenirs—and had even brought dancers from his homeland. A haunting flute melody played, its rhythm swaying the crowd.

Luna's eyes went glassy. Her inner serpent stirred to the sound, and she began moving in sync with the dancers.

"Luna…?" I hesitated. She stepped forward, seemingly entranced.

"She's dancing…" I whispered, amazed. I had never seen her move like this before—her lamia tail had made it difficult before.

But then I noticed Sasha trembling.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"The flute… it's forcing Luna to dance," she said with a fearful voice.

"What!?"

I rushed to grab Luna's hand—but one of the dancers blocked me. Suddenly, Chaos Chains burst from Luna's hand and wrapped around me. She was under the flute's control.

"Luna!!" I shouted—but her eyes were dull.

No one in the crowd noticed.

"Prismatic Scream!!" Sasha cried.

A deafening mirror-shattering note erupted from her voice, clashing with the flute's sound. Luna blinked, snapping out of the trance, but before she could move, the dancers grabbed her again, attempting to take her away.

"Chaos Chains!!" she retaliated, binding the merchant and his accomplices.

I marched toward the merchant and demanded an explanation. Terrified by Luna's intense gaze, he confessed: they were trying to kidnap her. Why? We didn't get a clear answer.

I called the guards and handed them over.

The flute? It was an artifact: the Siren's Flute—a cursed item that forced others to obey its tune unless the user was of a compatible class. It was meant for Support Class users only.

Since Sasha was a Songweaver, I offered it to her.

She refused.

"Did Cynthia do something to you?" I asked gently.

"No… she didn't," Sasha replied. "Even though she's the Evil Goddess of Love, she never harmed her dungeon bosses."

"Really?"

"She was like a mother to me," Sasha said, lowering her gaze. "But… to destroy the world, she believed she had to make love with everyone."

"That's… kinda bad," Luna muttered.

"She realized it was wrong—after she began collecting monsters like me," Sasha said. "She really took care of us."

"Then why not take the flute?"

"Because Byjack—the Evil God of Diligence—used similar flutes to amplify his Word Magic. When only Cynthia and Byjack were left in the dungeon, he'd… experiment with it."

"Byjack, huh…" I nodded. "Let me show you how a real Songweaver uses it."

I placed the flute to my lips. Even though I'd never used it before, my Songweaver class kicked in instinctively. Alluring Voice activated through the melody, inspiring allies and boosting their stats by 100%.

A haunting Celtic tune echoed from the flute. Luna danced. Sasha hesitated—then joined the song. Her voice was like a divine echo: soft, angelic, powerful. A crowd gathered, couples began dancing. It was magical.

We ended our performance by afternoon.

Exhausted, we wandered to a nearby restaurant. The owners had heard our music and treated us to free food. When I tried to pay, they handed me a wooden keycard to an inn room and said it was "on the house."

Grateful, we entered the inn. That's when I noticed something odd—the bathroom had no curtain, and the bed was… very close.

I looked at the card again.

"Love Motel."

My face flushed bright red.

Luna giggled and grabbed Sasha's hand. They headed to the bath and undressed together.

"DON'T LOOK!!" Sasha shouted, hurling a magic stone at me.

I quickly turned around, flustered.

"Alright Master, now you can look," Sasha called out.

I peeked—then turned fully. Luna and Sasha were wearing gorgeous lingerie. Maybe they'd bought them while I was on a date with Aisha and Merlin.

They sat on the bed, waiting for me.

Out of nowhere, Luna kissed me. Sasha blushed and looked away—but clearly wanted the same.

"Dear~ I think Sasha wants a kiss too," Luna teased.

I turned to Sasha. Her face was a mix of emotions: embarrassment, worry… longing.

Then she remembered something—

> "My lovely fish… you'll become the Alluring Aqualight," Cynthia once said.

"I couldn't have children, but all of you are my children," Cynthia told her monsters.

"But they always took everything from me! I hate Hummel the most!" she cried.

"If you ever find a mate… please, take good care of him," she said to Sasha. "I couldn't give you the love you wanted…"

Tears welled in Sasha's eyes. I leaned in and hugged her tightly.

"Don't worry, Sasha… maybe I can help Cynthia," I whispered.

"Huh? Why, Master?" she asked through her tears.

"I don't know… whether my dream was about her or someone else. But someone's calling for help."

"If you want to save an Evil Goddess… we won't stop you," Luna said with a serene smile.

"I… I don't know—" I hesitated.

But Sasha leaned in suddenly, pushing me down onto the bed.

And kissed me.

Luna blinked in surprise, then smiled. Sasha was beet red, clearly embarrassed—but she didn't pull away.

That night, we embraced one another. The girls removed their belts, revealing their true kin forms.

I opened their status windows:

"Master… I want your surname," Sasha said, drowsy.

"I already gave it to you, Sasha," I smiled.

"Ehh? Alright… goodnight, dear~" she whispered, snuggling closer. "I love you dear~"

"I love you too Sasha," I replied.

"Hehe~ Sasha's asleep… so can we?" Luna asked slyly.

"What!?" I flustered.

"Just like before, in the Indrasia Kingdom," Luna teased. "I love you dear~"

"I love you too Lu—" We kissed—and fell asleep together, with Sasha by our side.

As I drifted off, I saw a figure in my dreams again. Maybe Cynthia… or someone else. She called out my name. I heard her summon her "fish" and another monster. The voice was distorted.

Tomorrow… another date awaits. But who's next?
