Chapter 38 - End of the Flashback

Dairo (Calmly):

"Hannibal, why are you upset despite your son's happiness?"

Hannibal (Sharply and crookedly):

"Shut up, you rude, wretched man!"

Tom:

"I want to speak with you privately."

Dairo (Calmly):

"Is the news good?"

(They went to one of the corners of the garden.)

Tom (Calmly):

"Do you remember our last exploratory trip?"

Dairo (Calmly):

"Don't remind me of it. I was genuinely terrified for the first time."

Tom:

"Do you remember that flower?"

Dairo (Calmly):

"Yes, especially since you are the one who accidentally dropped the container."

Tom (Awkwardly):

"Haven't you forgotten about it yet?"

Tom:

"Let's get straight to the point. The flower is in the City of Light."

(Signs of astonishment appeared on Dairo's face.)

Dairo:

"And where did you get this news?"

Tom:

"Selina, Karo's wife, is the one who told us."

Dairo (Calmly):

"Perhaps you are imagining it."

Tom:

"I'm not imagining it, and she asked us to keep it a secret."

Dairo (Calmly):

"We won't tell Isaac, otherwise, he might impose harsh penalties."

(Karo, holding the microphone, joyfully announced):

Karo:

"My beloved and dear ones, today I am the happiest person ever!"

(Dairo, watching Selina.)

Dairo:

"Tom, why are you staring at her like that? Do you like her?"

Tom (Cheeks flushing):

"You scoundrel! Shut up!"

(Then, a man wearing a formal suit arrived, with a beard and glasses, rough hair, a long and thick nose, and narrow, almond-shaped eyes, and a round face.)

Tom:

"Allow me to introduce you to the head butler, Mr. Mitcha."

Dairo (Confidently):

"An honor to meet you."

Mitcha:

"Sir, Raiden wants you to hold him."

(Raiden was a two-year-old infant. Tom carried him and embraced him.)

Tom (Calmly):

"He is the last thing left of her memory."

Dairo (Affected):

"It's okay, Tom. Why all this sadness? She would have been a great mother."

Tom (Calmly):

"Whenever I see Raiden, reassurance enters my heart."

Tom (Loudly):

"Mitcha, come and take him."

Dairo:

"Your family is very disciplined."

Tom:

"Our first ancestor is the one who founded the family. Can you believe that in our family we have servants with a head butler, a head of negotiations, and even a head of cooking?"

(The Head of Cooking had just brought in a large cake. He had a thick face and dense eyebrows, and was holding a large knife.)

Dairo (Eagerly):

"The cake has arrived!"

(Meanwhile, Bala was present, staring all the time at Kamasaki, who was Karo's best friend. As for Bala, who had adorned herself and attended to her hair, her cheeks were red and her eyes followed him throughout the celebration.)

(Selina carried sadness, suspicion, and joy at the same time. Karo held her hands hopefully.)

Karo (Calmly):

"Don't worry, my dear. Look! We are one step away from building a family."

(Selina offered a smile that didn't reach her heart.)

Selina (Calmly):

"Yes, yes."

Hiddin fell silent for a moment, as stillness settled over the place.

Hiddin (looking at Caro):

"So, you finally got married."

Caro (dropping his head, his features marked by a scowl):

"Yes, and after that, we had you... But what followed the marriage was a disaster."

(A deep silence ensued, then the wind began to violently strike and shake the place.)

↩️ Back to the Flashback

(Two years after the marriage, Caro returned home where he found a letter on the bed. Hiddin was still an infant. Caro opened the letter, only to face a shock.)

The Letter:

"My dear Caro, I am sorry. A person named Showken violated my sanctity before our marriage... He touched me."

The Narrator:

As soon as Caro read the words, he was struck by a major emotional shock from which he could not easily recover.

The Letter:

"Hiddin was in my belly even before I married you."

(Caro fell to the floor, sitting in the corner of the wall, tears streaming from his eyes, as he clenched his teeth until they nearly shattered.)

The Narrator:

Caro nearly went mad. He felt that all trust had vanished, and everything he had wished for disappeared in the blink of an eye. Caro was fired from his job, as the hospital director dismissed him while Caro was crying. Caro had caused a person's death during a surgical operation as a result of the shock and excessive overthinking.

(Caro appeared, drinking bottles of alcohol.)

The Narrator:

As a result of this powerful shock, Caro stopped leaving his room, became isolated, grew addicted to alcohol, and started seeing the world as nothing but a void.

🎬 Returning to Reality

(Signs of exhaustion appeared under Hiddin's eyes. His eyes widened, and he opened his mouth in sheer shock.)

Caro:

"That's when I learned the reason I hate you... I hate your mother."

Caro turned his neck towards Hiddin, finding tears falling like sparks.)

Hiddin (tears pouring down):

"But why did you treat me with such cruelty?"

Caro:

"I wasn't treating you, I was treating your mother. Don't expect love from me."

Hiddin (calmly):

"If you hate me, why didn't you just kill me?"

Caro:

"I tried, but my feelings would always overcome me and yearn for you."

Hiddin (pressing his furious eyes shut):

"You're lying! If you truly yearned for me, you wouldn't have treated me so cruelly. Do you know that you used to leave me for months in a cold basement?"

(Caro rose from his chair.)

Hiddin (unleashing his anger):

"Don't run away from the truth, Caro!"

(Caro stood up. Hiddin gritted his teeth, his eyebrows furrowed.)

Hiddin:

"Answer me! Why didn't you kill me? You destroyed my childhood for a reason I wasn't at fault for!"

Caro (lowering his head and clenching his fists):

"This is life. Humans hold you responsible for something you didn't commit, just like me."

Hiddin (in a loud voice):

"You never gave me affection, but since you are not my father, there will be no reason for me to pity you."

Caro (smiling sadly):

"The world is just a stage, and the actors are humans."

(Caro left, continuing his walk. Hiddin knelt on the ground and raised his head towards the sky, letting out a long, thunderous scream.)

(The camera ascended towards the sky. The bright sun disappeared, and night fell.)

(Night settled. Caro was in his room, resting his head on a tiger [a depiction or item], with a snake coiled around his neck. His eyes were closed, and tears fell against his will.)

🍽️ The Next Scene: Dinner

(Aidin (Raiden) and his sister, Ai, were sitting down for dinner.)

Ai:

"Where is my brother? Why hasn't he come?"

Aidin (smiling):

"I'm sure he's somewhere."

Ai (shouting):

"You haven't done anything to him, have you!"

Raiden:

"Ai, calm down."

Ai:

"How can I calm down when there is a devil among us?"

Aidin:

"That's enough! I told you I wouldn't do anything to him. Stop shouting!"

(Just then, Mitcha entered. Signs of gray hair were visible in his hair and beard.)

Aidin (calmly):

"Why did you come at this time?"

(Mitcha leaned in and whispered in his ear.)

Aidin:

"Tell him to leave. I won't meet him."

Mitcha (in a quiet voice):

"But he's causing a commotion at the door."

Aidin:

"I told you to ask him to leave."

Mitcha (respectfully):

"Yes, sir. At your command."

Ai:

"What did he tell you?"

Aidin:

"He told me that someone named Junior wants to meet me."

Ai:

"Who is that?"

Aidin (calmly):

"I have no knowledge, sister."

(Aidin rose from his chair.)

Aidin:

"I have a mission. I will see you both tomorrow."

⚔️ Declaration of War

(Silence fell. Everyone was asleep—Caro was asleep, and the servants were asleep. Hiddin entered through the door into the large courtyard of the house. Aidin was standing there, his hands clasped behind his back.)

Hiddin (in a quiet voice):

"Aidin."

Aidin (smiling):

"Father confessed the matter to you, didn't he?"

Hiddin (smiling):

"Now, we will begin our war of minds. And we shall see who wins."

Aidin:

"You have declared the start of our war."

(The servants entered through the door. Servants appeared from all sides of the house.)

Hiddin (calmly):

"Betrayal runs in your veins."

(While noise erupted in the house, Ai woke up from her bed after hearing loud sounds. Hiddin lifted his left foot in preparation to jump, but a hand grabbed his leg.)

Mitcha (calmly):

"I'm sorry, sir, but those are orders."

(We see a blue rope wrapping around Hiddin's foot, moving up his body like a snake, until it bound his mouth and eyes. The rope belonged to a thin servant with black hair, his round face covered in black pimples. This is Zarion.)

Aidin:

"Mitcha and Zarion are the only ones proficient in 'The Shin'."

Zarion:

"Sir, he cannot undo the rope without my permission."

Hiddin:

"You've trapped me."

(The lights flashed on. Caro was standing, and Ai was also standing.)

Ai (in a loud voice):

"Brother, don't you dare!"
