"D-Damien…?" she muttered in surprise, her cheeks immediately turning a crimson shade.
"I thought your break… still remained a day?" she asked, subconsciously moving her gaze away from her.
Her eyes drifted towards a certain knife with smooth handle hanging a few meters away, and she softly hit her lips, bowing her head in embarrassment.
She pretended to focus on the meat she was chopping before, but her eyes kept shifting back to him.
'Is it just me eyes… or does he look a lot more handsome than before…?' she thought, feeling her heart skip a beat at the mere glance of Damien's face.
"And aren't you… supposed to be at the academy?" she asked, suddenly remembering that Damien was recently admitted.
Normally, those who managed to get into the academy preferred to stay in the academy dorms, and would only return during the year breaks.
"I chose not to stay in the dorms." Damien said.
"W-why…?" Sophie muttered, her eyes narrowing slightly.
