Chapter 248 - Save the World from the Yellow Speedster.

Akira took one look at Selena's unusually serious face and immediately asked,

"Did I destroy something important again? I don't remember breaking anything after the fate gathering array…"

Erika nodded beside him, looking concerned.

"Did he break something again? I'm sure he didn't mean it."

Selena gave them both an exasperated look.

"When did I ever say it was about him breaking something?"

Erika tilted her head.

"Then what is it?"

Selena's expression softened into a small smile.

"Your new world mission is ready."

Akira's eyes lit up with an excited grin.

"Oh? Is it time already?"

But Erika looked a little confused.

"Didn't we just finish the Toriko world quest?"

Selena explained patiently,

"That was a side quest. This is a main quest—like the Demon Slayer world. You'll be staying there for a while, so you need to prepare."

Akira leaned forward eagerly.

"So where are we going now? What's the mission?"

Selena smiled.

"Sure. See for yourself."

She snapped her fingers.

A glowing system window appeared in front of both of them.

[New Mission Alert]

[Main Quest: Save the World from the Yellow Speedster]

Akira read the title and immediately blurted out,

"Yellow Speedster? You mean Reverse Flash? Can I even beat him with my current strength?!"

Selena gave him a deadpan stare.

Akira kept reading.

[YES] [NO]

Akira stared at the window for a few seconds, then his eyes widened.

"Wait… Are we going to the Assassination Classroom world?"

Selena nodded.

"Exactly. You're going to save the world from that exploding yellow tentacle monster."

Erika visibly recoiled.

"…What kind of world are you sending us to?"

Selena waved a hand dismissively.

"Don't worry, it's not that kind of world. Wait, the anime is already out—you didn't watch it? It's called Assassination Classroom. A bunch of junior high students trying to kill their homeroom teacher, who happens to be a yellow octopus. It's really famous, you know."

Erika thought for a moment.

"A yellow octopus teacher… the one with the round head and academic robes?"

Selena smiled.

"Yes, that's exactly it."

Erika frowned.

"I know of it, but I never actually watched the anime. Wait… it's still ongoing, right?"

Selena confirmed,

"Yeah, Season 2 is currently airing."

Erika muttered,

"Then we don't know how it ends…"

She suddenly turned to Akira.

"Wait, in your previous life your world is technically in the future, right? Did you finish it?"

Akira immediately looked like someone who had been caught doing something suspicious.

Erika narrowed her eyes.

"…What did you do?"

Akira scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"Well… how should I put it… Hmm…"

Selena answered for him, completely deadpan.

"He never finished it."

Erika blinked.

"…What?"

Selena sighed.

"He found out it had a sad ending and dropped it."

Erika's shoulders slumped.

"…Right. I forgot he's like that."

Selena nodded.

"Yeah, and now it's coming back to bite him."

Akira protested,

"Don't blame me! After Akame ga Kill, I decided I wouldn't watch anything with a sad ending. This one had so many funny moments that I watched quite a bit… but once I learned what happens, I just couldn't finish it."

Erika let out a long, tired sigh.

"He's always like this…"

She paused, then asked quietly,

"So… is this going to be difficult?"

Akira's eyes lit up.

"Wait, the manga should be over by now, right? We can just check the ending!"

He quickly pulled out his phone and started searching.

A few seconds later, his expression fell.

"…Wait, what do you mean it's delayed?"

The latest chapter announcement clearly said.

"On break for one week."

Akira stared at the screen.

"And the mission starts in two days…"

Erika leaned over.

"You know how it ends, right? If we combine that with all the available chapters, we should be able to figure it out."

Akira scratched his head.

"I only know the broad stuff—Koro-sensei dies, and the students successfully assassinate him. I don't know the specifics…"

Erika sighed.

"Then what should we do?"

Akira suddenly clapped his hands together.

"How about we kidnap the author and force him to tell us how it ends?"

Both Erika and Selena spoke at the same time.

"No."

Akira blinked innocently.

"Why not?"

Erika pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Why is kidnapping the first thing that comes to your mind?"

Akira shrugged.

"Well… we could at least negotiate with him."

Selena rubbed her temple.

"Brother, don't worry about the ending. The moment you two enter that world, the story will change. With the knowledge you already have, I'm confident you can complete the mission even without knowing every future detail."

Akira nodded slowly.

"Yeah… that makes sense. Guess we'll have to do this the old-fashioned way."

Erika crossed her arms.

"Then explain everything. The anime, the manga—everything you know. We need all the information we can get."

Akira's face lit up instantly.

"Or we could just watch it together! It's been a while since we watched anime like this. Come on!"

He grabbed Erika's hand and started dragging her toward the theater room.

"Wait—" Erika protested weakly, though she didn't actually resist.

Selena watched them disappear.

"…Why do they always forget about me? I'm literally right next to them…"

She clicked her tongue.

"…Idiot couple."

Later that evening, Akira and Erika were sprawled together on a large couch in his room.

The massive screen played the latest available episode of Assassination Classroom Season 2, while both of them occasionally glanced at their phones, catching up on the newest manga chapters.

The room was dimly lit, snacks scattered around them.

By the time the credits rolled, the sky outside had turned completely dark.

Erika leaned her head against Akira's shoulder, still processing everything.

"So… the general idea is that this overpowered assassin got turned into a yellow octopus by some experiment… and now he's teaching a failing class while they try to kill him before he blows up the Earth?"

Akira nodded, munching on a leftover cookie.

"Yep. Koro-sensei's ridiculously fast—Mach 20. But he has a weakness: anti-sensei materials. The whole class is basically training to become assassins while studying like normal students."

Erika went quiet for a moment, thinking.

"…Hey, Akira."

Akira, still reading on his phone, hummed.

"Hmm?"

"Do you think… you could cure him? Turn him back into a human?"

Erika asked, even though she hadn't finished it, she could tell Koro-sensei's fate would be sad.

Akira tilted his head, considering it seriously.

"I have a few theories. His condition looks like some kind of cellular or energy mutation. If I can examine him directly, I might be able to do something."

He paused, then added casually,

"But even without that… as long as it's a problem, there's always a solution."

Erika smiled softly at his confidence.

They continued going over the mission objectives one by one—joining Class 3-E, preventing planetary destruction, learning assassination techniques, researching the tentacle lifeform…

…and the hardest one:

Raising the entire Class 3-E into the Top 50.

Erika let out a small laugh.

"I didn't expect to go back to junior high again."

Akira grinned and poked her cheek.

"Well, you've never been to a normal school before, so think of it as a new experience."

They both fell quiet, staring at the mission window floating nearby.

"…The Top 50 part is going to be tough," Erika muttered.

Akira nodded.

"Yeah. Not all of them are academically strong… We'll figure it out once we're there. No point overthinking it now."

At that moment, Selena's voice echoed through the room, dry and amused.

"You two bakauple… are you finally done?"

Akira and Erika looked up at the same time.

Erika immediately blushed.

"Don't call us that."

Akira crossed his arms.

"Yeah. I'm not an idiot. I am the smartest creature on the planet."

Both Erika and Selena went silent at that.

Then Selena replied flatly,

"Of course you are. So, genius… are you finished?"

"Yeah," Akira said. "We've caught up on everything that's released."

Selena let out a small sigh, though there was clear fondness in it.

"Good. Then start preparing. Especially you, brother."

Akira blinked.

"Preparing what?"

"Your food supply," Selena said. "Your Energy Bar Alpha stockpile is completely empty, isn't it? And you haven't even started developing the Rainbow Fruit version."

Akira froze.

"…Oh."

His eyes widened.

"Oh no—I haven't even finalized the formula!"

He shot up from the couch and sprinted toward the workshop.

Erika blinked—then suddenly remembered something.

"Wait—I haven't had your blood today!"

She jumped up and ran after him.

"Akira! Come back here!"

Selena watched them disappear, letting out another long sigh.

"…Honestly, I'm the only reason this group functions."
