Chapter 254 - Can We Keep The Tentacles?

As soon as Akira and Erika took their seats by the window, Koro-sensei's cheerful expression returned.

"Now then! Let us begin homeroom attendance. Student on duty, on your command~"

Nagisa stood up from his seat, looking slightly nervous but determined.

"S-Stand up! …Attention!"

The instant the command left his mouth, every single student in Class 3-E moved at once.

Chairs scraped loudly.

Weapons appeared.

Handguns, assault rifles, knives, and various anti-sensei tools were instantly aimed toward the front of the classroom.

Nagisa finished the command sharply.

"Bow!"

Without hesitation—

the entire class opened fire.

Gunshots exploded through the room like thunder.

A storm of pink anti-sensei BB pellets flew toward Koro-sensei from every direction.

"Nuuhuhuhu~!"

Koro-sensei laughed cheerfully as he began moving at Mach 20, his body leaving bright yellow afterimages as he effortlessly dodged the barrage.

"I will be taking attendance as usual! Karma-kun!"

"Here~"

"Isogai-kun!"

"Yes!"

Koro-sensei continued calling names while weaving through the bullets like this was just a normal morning exercise.

"I'm sorry, you'll have to speak louder with all this gunfire~! Okajima-kun! Okuda-san! Kataoka-san! Kayano-san! Kanzaki-san…!"

While the chaos continued, Akira and Erika remained standing—

but neither of them fired a single shot.

Karma, casually shooting with one hand, glanced sideways at the two transfer students.

His grin sharpened with interest.

Not attacking yet, huh? What are these two thinking…?

Akira calmly inspected the anti-sensei handgun in his hand, lightly rolling one of the pink BB pellets between his fingers while analyzing its properties.

Beside him, Erika tested the balance of several anti-sensei knives she had been given.

Then—

their eyes met briefly.

They nodded at each other.

Akira's gaze tracked Koro-sensei's movements.

Inside his mind, countless calculations ran at blinding speed.

Wind flow inside the classroom.

Pellet weight and velocity.

Koro-sensei's movement patterns.

The positions of every student.

Bullet trajectories.

Ricochet angles.

Then—

he raised his gun.

And fired.

Not at Koro-sensei—

but at the wall beside him.

Bang!

Karma's eyes narrowed in confusion as the BB pellet struck the wall and ricocheted.

A split second later—

one of Koro-sensei's tentacles suddenly exploded apart.

Splat!

Bright yellow fluid sprayed into the air as the tentacle was cleanly severed.

The entire classroom instantly fell silent.

Gunfire stopped.

Every student stared at the severed tentacle on the floor—

then slowly turned toward Akira.

Who was still holding his gun with a completely calm expression.

For a moment, everyone remained frozen in shock.

One of Koro-sensei's tentacles lay severed on the floor, bright yellow fluid slowly dissolving. The tentacle was already beginning to regenerate, but the shock was clear on everyone's faces.

Karma's eyes widened for a moment before a wide, feral grin spread across his face.

Heh… now this is interesting.

Nagisa whipped his head toward Akira, who still stood motionless with his gun raised.

Those star-like purple eyes glowed faintly, completely focused, as if the world around him had slowed down.

Even Koro-sensei paused, staring at his missing tentacle in visible surprise.

"Nuuuh…?!"

As the classroom continued processing what had just happened—

Erika coughed lightly, trying to restore some sense of normalcy.

"Um… it would probably be better if we continued."

Koro-sensei blinked once.

Then his usual cheerful laugh returned.

"Nuuhuhuhu~! Of course! Let us continue attendance then!"

The students, still stunned, slowly resumed firing, though most of them were still visibly stunned.

Gunshots echoed through the classroom again as Koro-sensei resumed dodging while calling names.

Akira calmly raised his gun once more.

Bang!

Again—

he didn't shoot directly at Koro-sensei.

The pellet ricocheted off the wall—

then bounced off a desk—

then curved along an impossible trajectory through the classroom.

Koro-sensei, now actively watching him, dodged with a laugh.

"You can calculate my movements even at Mach 20 speed? Impressive! But it's not enou—"

Before he could finish—

the BB pellet suddenly changed direction again after another ricochet and blasted cleanly through a second tentacle.

Splat!

The severed tentacle hit the floor.

The gunfire across the classroom faltered again.

And the entire Class 3-E collectively had the exact same thought.

Just what kind of monster is this guy…?

Koro-sensei's expression finally turned serious. His face shifted to a deeper shade as he kept taking attendance, but his focus was now locked entirely on Akira.

The ricocheting pellets no longer felt random.

They curved through the classroom from impossible angles, rebounding off walls, desks, metal frames, and windows like silent hunters pursuing their prey.

Every dodge Koro-sensei made only seemed to guide the next shot even closer.

The bullets were hunting him.

But Koro-sensei adapted quickly.

His movements became sharper and more precise as he started predicting the ricochet paths.

Then—

just as he began getting used to Akira's patterns—

Erika moved.

She drew one of the anti-sensei knives and threw it with full dhampir strength.

BOOM!

The air pressure from the throw created a loud sonic boom.

The knife shot forward like a green meteor and slammed into the blackboard with enough force to crack it slightly.

Thankfully, the anti-sensei knives were made from a special rubber-like material.

Otherwise, the entire blackboard might have shattered instantly.

Koro-sensei barely dodged the attack.

For the third time that morning, his eyes widened in genuine shock.

The entire class collectively thought:

Both of them are monsters…!

Erika didn't stop. She already had another anti-sensei knife in her hand, ready to throw.

Just as Koro-sensei paused after Erika's powerful knife throw.

Akira fired again.

Bang!

Koro-sensei narrowly dodged the shot while laughing brightly.

"The new students are even more special than I thought! Nuuhuhuhu~!"

Erika immediately threw another knife.

At the same time, Akira continued firing from impossible angles, each BB pellet ricocheting unpredictably off walls, desks, and metal frames.

Koro-sensei dodged them again and again while still taking attendance at Mach 20 speed.

But just as he started adapting to the rhythm—

Erika threw her next knife.

And at the exact same instant—

Akira fired another shot.

The BB pellet struck Erika's knife mid-flight, sending it ricocheting at a sharp new angle straight toward Koro-sensei.

Splat!

A third tentacle was severed cleanly.

Koro-sensei let out a surprised laugh.

"This is getting dangerous~!"

He still didn't stop taking attendance—

but his movements became noticeably sharper.

Akira and Erika's coordinated attacks kept him completely on edge.

Every time he adapted to one pattern, they instantly changed it.

The rest of the class continued firing wildly, but their attention kept drifting toward the two transfer students.

The attendance was almost complete.

Then—

Akira casually drew a second handgun.

And Erika pulled out all six of her remaining anti-sensei knives, three in each hand.

With a loud boom, she threw all six at once.

At the exact same moment—

Akira fired bullets all around the classroom. The shots ricocheted wildly off every surface — walls, ceiling, desks — and redirected even the ongoing barrage of BB pellets from the rest of Class 3-E.

But, they had only been a distraction.

In that split second while Koro-sensei dodged the knives—

he suddenly found himself trapped in the middle of a true BB pellet storm coming from all directions at once.

BBs converged toward him from every direction simultaneously.

The entire classroom had become a perfectly calculated kill zone.

Dodging without taking damage seemed almost impossible.

Then—

Koro-sensei suddenly pulled out his ruler and began spinning at incredible speed.

WHOOOOOSH!

The violent rotation created a miniature whirlwind that deflected the incoming BBs like a small hurricane.

Students closest to him squinted against the powerful wind pressure.

Finally—

the barrage ended.

Koro-sensei slowly stopped spinning, breathing just slightly heavier than usual.

Three severed tentacles lay scattered across the classroom floor, already beginning to regenerate.

Attendance was complete.

The attack finally stopped.

The rest of the class looked at Akira and Erika in awe… and something else entirely.

Akira casually lowered both guns, his expression returning to his usual playful grin.

Then he glanced toward the severed tentacles on the floor and asked innocently,

"Oh, Koro-sensei… can we keep the tentacles we blasted off? They'd be really useful for research."

Koro-sensei looked at the three severed tentacles slowly dissolving on the floor and let out a cheerful laugh.

"Nuuhuhuhu~! Of course you can keep them if you want, but they usually melt and disappear shortly after being separated from me."

Akira said with a casual wave of his hand.

"Don't worry about that. We've got it covered."

Erika reached into her bag and took out a beautifully designed, futuristic yellow-and-grey case—

the modified Gourmet Case Akira had brought back from the Toriko world.

The moment it appeared, the entire class stared at the unfamiliar, high-tech-looking container with confused expressions.

"What is that thing…?"

"Is it some kind of special storage case?"

Akira casually picked up the three tentacles before they could fully dissolve and placed them neatly inside the case.

Erika took the box back, secretly transferring the real one into her inventory while swapping it with an empty duplicate inside the bag.

Then she calmly closed the bag like nothing unusual had happened.

Koro-sensei watched the entire process with sparkling eyes and an amused smile.

"Fufufu~ How interesting! You two really came prepared."

He clapped his tentacles together cheerfully.

"Alright everyone! That was a wonderful start to the day! Now then, let us begin actual class~!"

As the lesson started, Nagisa quietly stared at the two new transfer students with sharp, analytical eyes.

They're incredibly strong… Their coordination, prediction, and timing were perfect. Just who are they? What are they planning to do in this class?

A few minutes later—

Akira's head had drooped onto his desk. He was completely asleep, head resting on the desk without a trace of shame.

The entire Class 3-E froze.

A wave of collective disbelief swept across the classroom.

What the hell…? After that insane performance… he's sleeping already?!
