Trafalgar answered her after a short pause.
"I don't know how true that is, to be honest."
Cynthia looked a little surprised by that.
"Hm? You don't think so?" Her voice softened when she glanced at the sleeping child. "I think you did well with Silas."
Trafalgar turned his head slightly.
"So his name is Silas, hm. It's not a bad name."
Cynthia nodded. "That's what we know about him. He arrived not long ago. I came here a few times after that, and he was always the same, just staring out the window. He seemed absent, like he didn't feel comfortable around the others."
Trafalgar looked at her, then at Silas again.
"The boy has had it rough."
Cynthia studied him for a second before asking, "What did he tell you before?"
Trafalgar lowered his eyes to the child lying under the blanket.
