Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Mid-terms vacation and new student

Worker's headquarter

On the top floor, surrounded by glass walls and the view of Seoul, a young man in a white suit sat behind a desk, reading through several digital files, His expression didn't change, but the faint gleam in his eyes.

"Interesting," he murmured "The God Dogs have changed drastically in just three months."

It was Eugene, the brilliant leader of Workers a man who understood people better than anyone else, a manipulator of power and purpose.

He scrolled through the data holographs in front of him, Sun-ho's picture on the transparent screen.

"Sun-ho," Eugene said softly "He's the biggest threat, a dangerous combination of intellect and influence And he's connected even outside South Korea."

He leaned back, adjusting his glasses.

"Hmm, only an older brother and a childhood friend, His brother's at J-High, promising."

Standing near the window, was a tall and broad-shouldered man with tanned skin and a calm, composed presence His mere stance carried quiet intimidation.

Mandeok Bang, the vice-chairman of Workers.

"He also fought Gun, But he was nowhere near his brother's level Still, Gun said he was skilled."

Eugene chuckled tapping his finger against the desk "Rare indeed, Potential like that doesn't go unnoticed."

He turned to Mandeok "Make both brothers high-priority entries in our system, Mark them as high-level threats."

Mandeok gave a nod.

"And, List Sun-ho as an S-rank fighter, and Minsoo as B-rank," Eugene said without hesitation "Their growth rate is unpredictable, but that's what makes them dangerous."

Eugene glanced once more at the glowing image of Sun-ho "Let's see how far you'll climb, before you become a problem."

---

Meanwhile in another part of Seoul

At the center of it all sat Olly Wang, casually on a table with his legs crossed.

He leaned forward, elbows on his knees, eyes glinting with excitement "That's my kind of fun, I'd love to fight him one day!"

Across from him, leaning back in a chair was Justin Peng and one of Hostel A's most level-headed figures uncle of Hostel A.

"According to Gun," Justin said "he's stronger than you, Olly."

"That's what makes it even better." he said.

He stood up, stretching his arms, muscles under his sleeveless shirt His grin widened.

"He might be stronger but, he doesn't have this." He pounded a fist against his chest "My endurance and body, They call it a gifted body."

From the corner, Chuck Kwak smirked, his cigarette glowing.

"Tell Gun," he said, voice suddenly low "I'll be waiting for his little prodigy."

The age of God Dogs had begun.

----

"Minsoo, you damn traitor!" Zack said "Didn't you say you didn't study for the exam?! Then explain how the hell you and Daniel Park ended up first place in the mid-terms?!"

"And you!" Zack jabbed a finger toward Daniel "How are you first too, You were sleeping through half the mid-terms"

Daniel scratched the back of his head awkwardly, smiling nervously "Uh… Maybe I got lucky?"

Zack's face twisted in disbelief "Lucky?! You're both monsters."

While Zack continued his loud rant, Minsoo calmly sipped from his milk cocoa carton, pretending not to hear him His expression was peaceful almost too peaceful like someone who'd achieved inner enlightenment.

"Vasco," Minsoo said casually, cutting through Zack's noise "How was the first day of training with little Daniel?"

"He's pretty good," Vasco said "But his endurance needs work and he eats a lot."

Big Daniel blinked.

Zack, who was still fuming in the background.

Zoe leaned across the table, resting her chin on her hands "By the way, Minsoo you're coming to the three-day retreat center trip, right? Hana said she's not interested, but you have to come."

Minsoo looked at her "I don't know."

Zoe frowned, her brows furrowing "You have to come, Don't act like an old man, it'll be fun Everyone's going."

Minsoo chuckled "Fun, huh? I'll think about it."

Inwardly, thought "Trip hmm, it's important for Zack Because of what's going to happen with Mira Kim."

He glanced at Zack A faint smile crossed Minsoo's face "If I have the time," he said "then I'll see."

Zoe sighed dramatically, throwing her hands up.

One by one, the group began to leave, Zack, Vasco and Jace helping him carry trays, Zoe still scolding Minsoo for being "boring," and Jay quietly walking alongside them, expression unreadable as always.

the cafeteria now, leaving only Daniel and Minsoo at the table.

For a moment, the two just sat there in silence.

Minsoo leaned back "So," he said, glancing at Daniel, "how's little Daniel doing?"

Daniel looked "He's doing fine, I guess Still training with Vasco every day."

Minsoo nodded "That's good, Keep an eye on him He's like you determined, but too soft for his own good."

Daniel blinked "Soft?"

"Yeah," Minsoo said, leaning forward "You try to carry too much, You think being selfless means being good, but it's not always true Sometimes being selfless just means letting people walk over you."

Daniel stayed silent, listening carefully.

Minsoo continued "Don't always try to be the one who sacrifices himself Don't be nervous to stand up for what you want, and don't hold yourself back because you're scared of being the bad guy Sometimes, you have to man up, take control even if people don't like it."

Daniel nodded, taking in the words. "Yeah, I get that."

Minsoo smiled, then thought "no one is stronger than a man, who knows the world but still, chooses to be kind and pure, and that is Daniel Park."

[Time Skip – One Month Later]

The sound of a ticking clock in modern office.

Sun-ho sat at the head of a long conference table, the city skyline visible behind him through tall glass windows, His black suit, his tie perfectly knotted though the fatigue in his eyes betrayed him.

Around him, several directors and department heads were finishing their presentations, The table was with files, reports, and coffee cups.

"So," one of the directors said, adjusting his glasses "the investment in the new tech startup is projected to yield a 14% return over two quarters, It's risky, but the potential is massive."

Sun-ho tapped lightly against the table, thinking "Approve it," he said "But I want a 5% security share clause, If they fail, we absorb the assets."

The directors exchanged looks and nodded.

As the meeting continued, he used to control Every question and concern, he addressed with precision.

"Good work, everyone," he said, standing up and gathering his notes "We'll reconvene next week."

Once the doors closed and the room emptied, Sun-ho exhaled deeply He loosened his tie, leaning back in his chair, eyes staring blankly at the ceiling.

"It's stressful being a businessman." he muttered.

He rubbed his temples, exhaustion visible across his face.

Lately, 75% of his time spent in business, 20% managing the God Dogs, and only 5% left for himself or for Hana.

We trained together at the gym, watched movies at cinema, we did alot things and now, today the vacation finished so that mean tomorrow back to J-high school.

----

"Zack," Minsoo said "mind telling me why you still have those bandages around your arms, Didn't the doctor say it'd be fine in two weeks?"

Zack looked up from his desk "Huh? Oh, uh it still hurts, I guess."

Minsoo raised an eyebrow "Just tell me the truth, You like it when Mira feeds you during lunch, right? Come on, man you're a full-blown simp."

Zack's face exploded red, He almost fell off his seat "O-oi! Keep your voice down!" he hissed, looking around to make sure no one heard "It's not like that, okay, My hand's just… not fully healed yet."

"Sure, sure." Minsoo chuckled "I bet the pain magically gets worse when Mira walks by."

"Shut up!" Zack barked, his ears turning crimson.

A moment later, the classroom door open.

Their teacher walked in, carrying a folder and wearing a small, formal smile "Alright everyone, settle down," he said "Before we start, I have an announcement."

The chatter faded.

"We have a new transfer student joining our class today."

Immediately, the room buzzed again.

"Who is it?"

"From where?"

"Is it a boy or a girl?"

The door opened again and stepping in was a small, chubby girl with Glasses, round features.

"Hello," she said, her voice polite "I'm Crystal Choi Nice to meet you."

"Crystal Choi…?"

"She's kinda… chubby."

"How many meals does she eat a day?"

Minsoo sighed Of course, Kids will always find someone to pick on.

Crystal Choi Or rather her second body.

He knows The truth, her real form, and the way her two bodies worked, Being a reincarnator had its perks though sometimes it made moments like this bittersweet.

Before the whispers could get any louder, a chair scraped loudly against the floor.

Big Daniel stood up "Hey," he said, his voice strong "Stop saying stuff like that, She's our classmate now."

The class fell silent instantly.

Daniel turned toward Crystal, smiling gently "Hi, I'm Daniel Park I also transferred here not too long ago If you need help with anything, just ask me."

Crystal blinked "O-okay thank you."

The teacher gestured toward an empty seat "You can sit there, Crystal."

As she walked to her desk, a few students exchanged quiet looks.

Minsoo glanced at Daniel, a faint smile crossed Minsoo's face, Still the same Daniel.

He turned his gaze toward Crystal, who was unpacking her books,

The bell rang, signaling the start of class.

Soon, everything would change.

Life flows Like sea, sometimes calm, sometimes storming and the surface may spark with light but beneath, It lies depth unseen where silence hides both beauty and struggle, the sea doesn't stay calm forever, tides will rise and will fall, waves will crush against you storms will test your strength.

But remember, calm sea never makes you skilled.
