-CHAPTER 19-

-FUSHIGURO MEGUMI POV-

"Follow me Megumi." Gojo, now wearing casual clothes and fully darkened sunglasses, says as he opens the door to the shed in the Jujutsu High compound.

It had been a few days since the mission and I had comfortably moved into my dorm at the school with my male classmates' rooms being just aside from mine.

There hadn't been any more missions after that one though, so I had been spending my time physically training with the rest of my classmates. As while I worked best when I was alone, it was important to have some sort of teamwork in place in case of future emergencies.

Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, or as most people called it, Tokyo Jujutsu High was one of only two jujutsu education facilities in the country.

It is located far and high up on a mountain in Tokyo's outskirts. Tokyo Jujutsu High is a broad campus of several buildings (including training grounds, courtyards, dormitories, classrooms, among a variety of other amenities) built in traditional Japanese architectural style, operating under the guise of a Buddhist Temple (reflecting that there are statues of deities, shrines and Torii Gates around the campus).

The school is well hidden due to being high up in the mountains, there are many trees to further obscure the location. Furthermore the entire property is hidden by a protective barrier made and maintained by Tengen who lives beneath the school in the Tombs of Star.

Also did you know? That normal basic education was given at Jujutsu High so it was a real school too? I honestly hadn't thought so because we had never seen the characters study, but honestly academics weren't given much importance as we didn't even have exams or something, just small tests.

And the main primary Jujutsu education was given by active Jujutsu Sorcerers, windows and assistant managers- who were pretty weak themselves but they had knowledge in spades.

And also, did you know that the school had a fourth year too? Since it was legally a college and not a highschool, but right now both third and fourth years were empty since there were no students in those years- or if there were then they were dead.

I had also been exploring the whole school compound, one of my objectives being to find the library. Which I did find, but unfortunately it wasn't really that useful as it didn't contain any useful information.

Though I did learn all I wanted to know about Chants, Talismans and Barriers so I guess that was a good trade off for the time I spent in that damn library (though practicing and improving on my Barrier making skills was important as it was essential for learning Domain Expansion in the future and not to mention how versatile their various uses were).

But one of my side objectives, to find the origins and about the first user of the technique was a huge failure as there was basically zero information about the technique itself, instead I got a long history lesson on the founder of Zenin Clan, Masakado Taira.

Which was also good, I was always up for an interesting history lesson. But what I wanted hadn't been fulfilled. My progress with my technique had also stalled as while I really wanted to just tame Funeral Tiger and get it over with so that I could prepare for Mahoraga, I had decided to be smart about this and research something about it first.

I knew that one of the key reasons that I could so easily defeat so many of my Shikigami so quickly was because I knew things about them beforehand. But I also knew that I was now more than powerful enough to just brute force it.

-Which was the problem! As there was basically zero information about it in the library! That is why in the end I had just asked Gojo for help.

And if even he couldn't find anything then, I would just suck it up and just fight it square and fair.

Time was wasting after all, and I had to tame The Divine General before the events of canon occurred.

Unfortunately, the ground on which I stood with the Zenin Clan was shaky at best and nonexistent at worst so they weren't just going to give me their manual on the Ten Shadows Technique that they would no doubt have. Fucking politics!

I guess being saved from being sold to the Zenin Clan also had some drawbacks…

Now that that bit of the flashback was done let me explain what I was doing in this shed now. Basically, we were getting a weapon for me.

Because in the words of my classmates, and my teacher. "Baseball bats aren't meant to be used as weapons!"

WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE TO SULLY THE GREAT POWERS OF A BASEBALL BAT?!

All jokes aside, so what if it wasn't the most… skilled (or precise) weapon? It did its job right? My taste in weapons wasn't bad, right?

Right?

I sighed. Unfortunately I was forced on this so I guess I'll have to take some gauntlets or something. Besides I don't even think I need a Cursed Tool to begin with. Because honestly I didn't want to learn sword fighting or something and I had my Abyssal Slashes if I wanted to cut something. I was getting pretty skilled in using them, even using them to cook and cut vegetables. My control over their power had increased a lot, being able to make them weaker to stronger easily.

You got nothing on me, Sukuna! I am the greatest chef in the world! I thought jokingly as I then shook my head and focused on the countless weapons lying in the shed.

"Go ahead, you can choose any Cursed Tool from here that you like. Think of it like a coming-of-age gift! And there aren't any bad weapons here so at least we'll be safe from your horrible taste in weapons." I gained a tick mark at his remark but focused on finding a good Cursed Tool for myself.

Unlike Yuta, I didn't need help in controlling my CE. So there was no need to take a normal weapon, which is why I was getting a Cursed Tool here.

Now while most of the weapons here were bladed and frankly weren't to my liking, I did find something that I thought was cool.

"This!" I said as I showed my hands to Gojo, wearing to red colored gauntlet-like gloves that went up to my forearms, the fingers were pointed and sharp enough that they could do significant damage to opponents themselves, the forearm section had a white bone-like guard to protect those areas from damage, there was a cloth-like white colored material around the wrist and the Cursed Tool felt pretty durable.

If you didn't understand, they were the gloves that Itadori had worn in the final battle against Sukuna.

I had honestly thought they were cool and looked sick, and even if they didn't provide a big boost, I honestly didn't care enough for Cursed Tools to care. My hands were already full with Jujutsu and Hand-To-Hand combat; I didn't want to spread myself too thin by intending to master a weapon.

"Pfft-!?" Gojo breaks out in laughter. "HAHAHAHAHA! JUST WAIT TILL THE REST OF FIRST YEARS SEE THAT! YOU- YOU LOOK LIKE AN EMO COSPLAYER!"

This time I don't hold my anger back and crack my knuckles. "Alright, let's fight!"

"Bring it on!" Gojo smirks arrogantly.
