Olivia realized they were being a bit mean to him, so she explained in the way he would have explained it himself.
"You can't go in the city, we are preparing a surprise and it's not complete, so silence heathen for we are cooking, and don't ask anyone… Or we will cry!"
Ars eyes shone and laughed, then he nodded, now very happy and curious. Then he called one of the men around and ordered him.
"Go get 150 soldiers to go on the trip, to acquire more citizens."
Finally the medical assistant came out from inside the ship with the 2 children. Olivia's eyes shone when she saw them, she quickly moved towards them, and quickly inquired for information about them.
"What happened? Why are these two children not with their mothers?"
Ars showed a sad and depressed face before explaining.
"On the way to our destination, we found a cruise ship being attacked by marines, they killed everyone, except these 2 and that young guy over there."
He pointed at Sas, and ignored the incredulous face Olivia was making. She took a deep breath, looked at the medical assistant and ordered her.
"Go to the clinic and bring 3 members of the medical staff, I will take the children with me and will go there later."
The assistant nodded and quickly left to complete the request. Then Olivia looked at Ars with puppy eyes and asked.
"Can we take care of them at home?"
Ars looked at her, being so happy and excited about it that he couldn't help but commentate.
"Yes, we can, but they are not puppies. And using puppy eyes is cheating… It's almost impossible to say no to them."
Olivia, looked at the interested expression in Ars face and demanded.
"What?"
Ars didn't know how to soften the blow this time, so he asked directly.
"You really love children don't you? I find it strange that you left your actual child to go to the sea in search of lost history, by researching the void century through the poneglyphs."
Her face darkened a bit, then she took a deep breath and calmed herself before answering.
"I love both history and my family, especially children, and this did not change from before. I love you and all of my sisters. I had to choose between completing my and robin father's dream, and staying with Robin… I thought that after completing the dream I would have a lot of time to be a mother so I left for that dream. I know… I kinda made a mistake, but this time I will not make such a mistake."
Ars nodded and gave her a reassuring smile before kissing her, and whispering in her ear.
"I love you too. And I'm sure you will be a great mother!"
She blushed a bit and decided that she should focus on the children and ignore Ars.
After Ars waited close to an hour, while sitting down bored, everyone was ready to depart again, now with more ships. They quickly departed and sailed towards the people that were left behind, one man of the group of 60 decided he wanted to return, Ars could see he wanted to remove the doubts of the others who stayed behind. Ars didn't mind, that would only help him in the end, Sas also got forced to come.
In the middle of the trip, the news Coo arrived with the latest news. Ars bought the news and started reading, the title of the news was:
'Marines or Pirates!?'
This newspaper had and showed proof of the marines cruelty and their crimes in the island from where Sas originated from. Seeing this news he called Sas and asked him.
"Do you know how to read?"
Sas looked at Ars confusedly, before Ars smiled at him with a gratified smile.
"Yes."
Ars passed him the newspaper, he started reading and saw the title, he quickly searched the newspaper for more information. Shortly after, a huge grin appeared on his face and he started laughing non stop.
Ars also smiled, this confirmed Sas history, while giving him the revenge he wanted. He could hear Sas starting to cry and murmuring.
"That bastard finally got what he deserved, with this, the people that died because of him can rest in peace… Mom, dad, the man that killed you, is gonna be executed… And the people there will be safe…"
Sas, at the end of his murmuring looked at Ars and bowed to him, then he said emotionally.
"Thank you, I don't know how you did it, but you managed to save the people on the island, from now on I will do my best to serve you."
Ars smiled calmly and tried to explain his role in the outcome of the situation.
"I just sent a letter. Nothing else."
Sas knew that Ars was telling the truth, the point was that it was the letter that he wrote that ended up causing the exposure of the marines' crimes, and because of it, the island was free from their tyranny and his family was avenged.
The rest of the newspaper was pretty normal, with random news, with the exception of a mention from the marines about the sighting of a dangerous criminal in the West Blue. Ars read it carefully. It was a message to bounty hunters in that region so they could try to catch this criminal.
The message was simple.
'The criminal known as the devil child, was sighted in the west blue, any clue reported to the marines will be rewarded with 250.000 berries.'
Ars thought to himself, crocodile should recruit her decently soon. After all Ars knew she joined baroque works at 24 and right now she should either be 24 or 23, after that she will work for them until she is 28, finally she will join the straw hat pirates.
Ars now started to think about the incident in sabaody later on, where originally Kuma would have saved them, but now with his interference, he wasn't sure if Kuma would be there or not, so he was left wondering how he should proceed. Should he ask Kuma for help, should he reveal Luffy's identity as Nika and Joy boy to him…
Ars couldn't decide, and he decided to stop thinking about it for now, this was a problem for his future self. Ars then looked at one of the soldiers at his side and inquired about their position.
"How long until we arrive? I was distracted and I know we should be arriving soon, but I'm not sure of how much longer it will take."
The sailor just raised his hands, he also didn't know.
Ars smiled feeling a bit awkward and thought about the trip. The entire trip had been very smooth, any small pirate crew would instantly back off with such an amount of ships, and they didn't find any medium size crew.
Suddenly, the lookout gave the news.
"Land ahoy, we have our destination on sight."
Ars looked around and ordered calmly.
"Get ready to anchor once we are in range, and we won't be staying too long."
After a while they arrived at the docks with the main ship, and apparently the large group of people from before also had a lookout waiting for them, because when they arrived, there was already a large portion of the group awaiting them.
Ars smiled and disembarked on the docks quickly, then he went to speak with the same representative from before, who was already waiting for him.
"Hello again, as you can see this time I brought a few more ships. And is everything ready on this side?"
The man of the previous group of 60, who came back nodded at the representative, who visibly relaxed when he saw the nod. He then looked at Ars and asked.
"How many people can you take this time?"
"I was thinking about taking between 450 and 500."
The man nodded and then started thinking about who would be better to go first. Shortly after, he called someone and started writing a list, once he was done he gave the list to the man he called. and the guy left. Ars assumed, the man had left to gather the families that would be going.
Ars waited for a while, but once they started arriving, the people who would be going, quickly embarked on the ships. Ars then looked at the representative and commented.
"I will be back when I can."
The man smiled and nodded.
Ars had a very serious face, previously he was using his observation haki to make sure nobody was spying on them from nearby, he found no one acting strange, but he found a hidden den den mushi on one of the people who were coming along.
Ars decided to collect the blood samples while he was still on the ship, so he explained for everyone to understand.
"I have this strange hobby of collecting blood samples, a single drop will do, I hope you guys don't mind."
They were all confused but they didn't seem to have any problem with it. When the person with the hidden den den mushi gave him the sample, Ars pocket dimension instantly informed of an akuma no mi presence.
Ars decided not to show it yet, and kept collecting samples, going from ship to ship. When he was done they deviated course to a nearby inhabited island. He disembarked and brought a few people with him both from his soldiers and from the future residents, this included the man that was hiding the den den mushi.
Everyone was confused about why they had stopped on this island, and Ars intended to clarify.
"Sorry about the unexpected stop but i need to confirm something…"
He then quickly approached the man with the den den mushi and quickly took out the man's den den mushi in front of everyone.
Everyone was shocked and the man went pale, he didn't know how, but he had been caught. Then he decided that his best chance for survival was fighting it out, he quickly started using his akuma no mi, and transformed into a giant, the man screamed at Ars.
"Even if you caught me you can't defeat me, you should have just been obedient and taken me to your island, now you are going to die for it."
He then tried to punch Ars, but to his surprise, he only managed to push Ars back 1 meter before Ars stopped the blow without much difficulty. Ars then twisted his opponent's arm and pulled him forward, causing him to stumble forward, then Ars jumped, took out his sword and slashed the man's throat, much to the man's horror.
He clutched his bleeding neck but it was no use, the cut was too deep, he would soon die from blood loss. He looked at Ars and declared.
"ou il rget iling e, che ooid aber irats i deily wil u."
Ars laughed in the man's face before replying.
"I suppose you want to threaten me, but I can't understand what you meant with the slashed throat, But I think you are talking about the bloodied saber pirates… A bunch of cowards that runned from the grandline, even then, to have akuma no mi in more than one member is pretty lucky. But if they come to fight us, that luck won't matter, after all your luck only goes so far before falling to strength or you wouldn't have runned from the grandline."
The man looked at Ars like he was insane, he couldn't believe that someone was looking forward to fighting a pirate crew with a few akuma no mi… But somehow he didn't doubt Ars, there was something in Ars face that left no room for doubts. Maybe it was the fact that he had killed him easily.
The man finally died full of doubts. On the other hand everyone around besides Ars was still scared by the fight between them, nobody expected that there was a spy for a pirate crew among the people who were coming on the trip.
The soldiers were sweating from Ars' fight and his words, they finally realized they were not as strong as they thought they were. They knew that if they were the ones fighting the akuma no mi user, they would all be dead.
After dealing with the spy they quickly resumed their trip. And after a few more days they managed to arrive home, just to quickly leave once again on the same mission.
