The next few days, other than working, he trained and he got some news that were unexpected but welcome.
Rook was officially getting married and Rosar was pregnant. Ars and all of the queens came to congratulate them.
"Congratulations on your marriage, and on being a father!"
His face was happy but there was a bit of confusion mixed in as well, on the other hand Rosar was glowing.
Rook looked at Ars and said.
"Probably for the next few months, I won't be able to do a lot of missions, at least missions that take a long time…"
Ars smiled and corrected.
"Its not that you can't … it's that you shouldn't. You can take a year or two as vacation if you want, if not work with Kuina on the island."
He smiled and nodded, Ars looked around like he was searching for something, then asked.
"I'm kinda surprised! Your mother isn't here over the sun and the moon, does she know?"
Rook shook his head and explained.
"Both our mothers are more than invested in having grandchildren… And they can be a bit too excited sometimes… So we are still thinking how to break the news to them… My father and sister know it, thought."
Ars smiled at him awkwardly, and then added.
"Your mother is gonna freak out twice… First because you guys didn't inform her and then because she's gonna be a grandmother again… You better prepare yourself!"
He nodded and smiled, finally he commented.
"Well that's a problem for when she discovers it… For now we will have peace for a few extra weeks or days… Whatever our silence can buy."
Ars looked at a room that was already decorated with children's toys and couldn't help but comment while pointing at it.
"You don't need to rush, you still have a few months until it's needed!"
Rook smiled awkwardly and corrected Ars.
"That wasn't us… It was our mothers… Even before Rosar got pregnant, I can't start to imagine now that she is, how excited they will be… I'm genuinely afraid of how crazy their reactions are gonna be…"
Ars smiled awkwardly and then asked.
"Do they know you proposed?"
He nodded and commented.
"Yeah, thanks to that they are distracted with the preparations for the marriage and are leaving us with a bit of peace for a bit longer…"
Ars nodded but then asked.
"I don't remember your mother going this insane over Moannee, why is that?"
He smiled and explained.
"My sister has always been better at handling her, and the fact that they were still adjusting from getting back also helped… Now completely in her environment and without anyone stopping her… She has been relentless even before having this news… When she gets the rest of them, there won't be anything capable of stopping her without hurting her…"
Elia was slowly approaching, she was a bit red, and when she got in range she jumped towards Ars and hugged him, and asked.
"When can you put one in me?"
Ars and Rook were shocked by how direct she had been. Ars smiled and returned a question.
"Have you been drinking?"
She nodded and explained.
"Rosar served us a really tasty drink, but it was really heavy on the alcohol content, and while we were slightly drunk, we all started to talk… And decided that we want you to give us desserts, in this case in particular, creampies, lots of them."
Ars smiled and said seriously.
"Maybe in a few more years!"
She pouted and demanded.
"Why not now!?"
Ars was surprised, unlike the usual Elia, who would avoid any sort of conflict with him, the drunk she was saying, what she didn't say when she was sober. And Ars was surprised by how direct she was, now he knew she really wanted a child, he suspected it before but now he was sure. Before anything else happened, one of the maids arrived with Risa and Rika who were confused. They looked at Ars with a strange curious expression and asked.
"What's wrong with our mothers, they all acted weird and then went to sleep?"
Ars hid a laugh and asked surprised.
"All of them!?"
The maids nodded and calmly explained.
"The drink was very good, tasty and smooth going down, so it went down fast, to the point they drank a lot before the alcohol even started reaching their heads, and the alcohol content on that drink is absurdly high… So all of them got drunk, without an exception, then they fell asleep, the one who tasted the drink the latest was Elia-sama, so she managed to stay awake a bit longer."
Elia who heard that was a bit offended and defended herself.
"I'm not that drunk and I didn't go to sleep… I came here to ask my hubby to fill me up… Over and over again, until my whole body and holes are covered in white. I also wanted to ask but i got shy if he could spank me hard…. But don't tell him… it's a secret…"
Ars knew that Elia was a bit of a masochist, but apparently she wasn't just a bit, but a very heavy one, because he already spanked her hard… Sometimes really hard, but apparently that wasn't enough or hard enough.
The maids were all red by now, Rook was looking to the side like the corner of the room was very interesting, and the 2 princesses were lost and confused, So they looked directly at Ars and asked.
"Is mother Elia alright, she is also being strange… No one likes spanking!"
Ars laughed and replied calmly defusing the situation.
"Don't worry about it, your mothers just drank something that made them a bit sick and made them say random things they don't normally say, but in a few hours or tomorrow they will recover, so don't worry about them."
They nodded and dropped from the maid arms to the ground and then moved to Ars and started pulling him. Ars was confused and asked curiously.
"Why are you pulling me?"
They looked at him like it was obvious and Risa put her hands on her hips imitating the adults and said.
"We need to go visit Whaly, he's lonely and we can't go alone!"
Ars was lost, he didn't know anyone named Whaly.
One of the maids came to his rescue and explained.
"After the queens and the princesses went to play with the baby whale, they decided to name it Whaly."
Ars finally got it and looked at Rook and apologized.
"Well, I would like to stay a bit further but it's time to play I guess."
Rook smiled and commented.
"I can see that in the future I will have similar problems."
Ars nodded and replied with a happy expression.
"Probably… But it's worth it!"
Ars looked at the maids and ordered them.
"Make sure the queens get home safely, and if something happens call me, neither of them will be fit to work in the next few hours."
The maids all collectively replied.
"Yes, your majesty!"
Then one of them asked.
"Should a few of us go with your majesty in case something it's needed?"
Ars thought about it and indeed, that was a good idea, just in case he needed to go somewhere in a rush, so he wouldn't force the children to stop playing without any reason. So he replied.
"Complete my orders first then go meet me around the place the baby whale is…"
"Yes, your majesty!"
With that out of the way, he started to move towards the local where Whaly was, when he arrived he realized that it wasn't just his little girls who liked the little whale, a lot of children were here swimming and playing around with the whale.
Gluppy and Otojoō were watching over the children along with a few caretakers from the daycare, all completely focused. Pecillia on the other hand was swimming happily, having a great time playing with the other children and the whale.
Apparently since the baby whale came, it was agreed that at least once a week there would be a gathering here to play with the whale, where the children could play and have fun in the water. It didn't really matter if they were there to play with the young whale or just to have fun playing in the water with each other.
Ars was surprised, he didn't realize the baby whale had become such a celebrity in such a short time. Ars smiled and looked to his side, where both of the little girls were already removing their clothes. Like he predicted they were wearing swimsuits underneath.
The moment they were done, they rushed into the water. Then Whaly and Pecillia quickly came to greet them, apparently these 4 had become good friends the last few days.
Ars just looked around, and everyone was a bit nervous with his presence, he smiled awkwardly, scratched his cheek and said.
"I don't bite… You guys can relax, I only came here to spend some time with my daughters."
Everyone understood that, but it was easier said than done… It was like relaxing next to your boss… On paper it didn't sound that hard, but in reality it wasn't that easy. He sighed and moved towards Gluppy and Otojoō, where he could feel a bit less out of place.
When he approached he saw Otojoō looking at him hopeful. Ars smiled back at her and said calmly.
"Yes I do have some of the powers that will allow you to go there often, but let's talk about it later."
She nodded very excitedly, and Gluppy congratulated her.
"Congratulations Otojoō-sama, with this you are a bit closer to having your dream job."
Otojoō nodded and added.
"Yes and since you will be working with me from time to time, you will also have a good reason to visit Fishman island and meet your friends and family."
Gluppy smiled and nodded. Ars was looking around and was getting bored of having nothing to do. When he spotted the maids arriving he asked them.
"Can you guys get me swimming trunks? I wanna go swimming too!"
They nodded and left quickly to get the item, it didn't take them long to come back. Ars then looked at Gluppy and asked.
"Can you let me use your house to change?"
She nodded and Ars rushed towards it.
In a few seconds he had changed and was already diving in the water, and shortly after he was playing with the kids and the whale.
After a few hours of playing, everyone took a break, where the maids, the daycare members, Gluppy and Otojoō had prepared snacks for everyone. While they were eating, the whale would chirp happily, and sometimes would look at the sky with a strange longing.
Ars noticed this and asked the little thing that wasn't so little.
"Do you like the sky?"
It chirped happily back at him, and Ars looked with interest back at it. Then Ars asked once more.
"Could it be that you want to fly?"
It chirped very excitedly once more, like it dreamed of flying freely in the sky.
Ars started thinking of how someone can make a whale fly.
The simplest answer was an akuma no mi. Or maybe if he could use the modifications on his laboratory to give her the ability to fly.
Ars started growing excited with the idea, after all seeing a gigantic whale flying through the sky in the future would look awesome. He thought to himself.
'I have pretty much every single zoan I need, but I would need to make the whale capable of acquiring energy without needing to feed itself every few minutes, for long flights… Because if it was too heavy it wouldn't fly, but if it didn't have energy, it couldn't live much less fly…'
After they ate they played a bit more and when it was time for dinner. Ars looked at everyone and said his goodbyes.
"Farewell fellow swimmers and caretakers, it was a pleasure to pass the day with you!"
They all smiled awkwardly, but went on to their homes for their own dinners.
Once they arrived home, dinner was already waiting for him, along with 6 very hungover ladies. Ars thought of making noise to make them wince but decided not to, after all that hangover seemed pretty strong. And he had different ammunition today.
Ars looked at Elia and commented.
"So, you wanna tell me something? You asked me something in a very different way… Very forceful!"
Elia looked at him then at the maids who were completely red, and panicked, before asking.
"What did I say?"
One of the maids approached her and whispered into her ear, and when she heard what she said she transformed into a tomato. The other queens were curious so they also asked the maids, who whispered into their ears. They all went red but then started smiling playful smiles at Elia.
