Chapter 116 - Chapter 116 – Presenting the Fragrant Splendor Immortal

After struggling with the choice for a long time, Lin Fan finally decided on the Titan Giant Ape's spirit bone.

The truth was simple—he didn't lack attack-type spirit abilities anymore.

By the end of that day, Lin Fan had obtained two hundred-thousand-year spirit rings and three hundred-thousand-year spirit bones.

Having just recently broken through to Rank 96, he was now already a Rank 97 Spirit Master.

Moreover, Lin Fan could feel that stepping into Rank 98 was just a matter of one final push.

His cultivation speed was practically brute-forced upward.

Such was the terrifying advantage of possessing twin martial souls.

For most spirit masters, reaching Title Douluo with just one martial soul was already a nearly impossible feat. Let alone crossing the boundary between ordinary Title Douluo and Super Douluo.

Those who stood at Rank 96, such as Tang Hao, Bibi Dong, and now Lin Fan—apart from them, which of the others hadn't crawled there painstakingly, spending century after century polishing their power?

Take Sword Douluo, for example—he was already over a hundred years old.

But Lin Fan? In just a few days, he had risen from Rank 95 to Rank 97. That alone showed how great his recent opportunities had been.

And most importantly, it was thanks to the system granting him an additional martial soul, allowing him to continue absorbing more spirit rings, skipping decades—if not centuries—of cultivation.

Knock, knock!

The sudden sound at the door interrupted Lin Fan's contemplation of his gains.

When he opened the door, he realized he had stayed inside too long—night had already fallen.

At the entrance stood Bibi Dong, carrying a tray of food.

"When I saw you absorbing spirit bones during dinner, I didn't call for you," she said lightly. "I figured you should be done by now, so I brought it over."

Lin Fan accepted the tray with a smile. "For the great Empress of the Spirit Hall herself to deliver food to me… truly, I must be blessed by the heavens three lifetimes over."

"Save your sweet talk," Bibi Dong rolled her eyes. "Didn't you say you'd give me a flower once we returned to Spirit Hall? Where is it?"

"Don't rush," Lin Fan chuckled, setting the food aside. "Let me eat first, then bathe and burn some incense. This flower is said to be the noble among flowers—graceful, elegant, beyond compare. If you still carry the sweat and dust of the day, its aura would be sullied."

"Now? Is it that miraculous?" she asked with genuine curiosity.

Lin Fan nodded seriously. "This flower is truly unique in all the world. If it refuses to recognize you, then even if you covet it, you'll never obtain it."

"Hmph, very well. I'll wash up then. But if this flower fails to satisfy me, Lin Fan, you'd better be prepared to face my wrath." With that, Bibi Dong turned and left.

"Oh, and one more thing," Lin Fan called after her, "you'll need a space-type soul tool capable of keeping living plants fresh. Otherwise, the flower won't last long."

"Got it," she replied without looking back.

Naturally, with Spirit Hall's resources, finding such a soul tool wasn't difficult.

Before long, Lin Fan finished his meal and took a long, refreshing bath. His entire body felt cleansed and invigorated.

An hour later, Bibi Dong returned to his room.

This time, she was different—her usual Pope's crown was absent, her hair flowed freely, and her attire was lighter: a pale violet one-piece dress that clung to her graceful figure. In her hand, she carried a delicate bracelet.

"This bracelet is a space soul tool," she explained, "its inner space is small, but it has the special effect of preserving plants at their freshest state. Now, let me see this flower you promised." Sitting proudly on the sofa, she crossed her legs and gave him a slightly arrogant look. "If it doesn't satisfy me… hmph!"

"I guarantee you'll be satisfied," Lin Fan chuckled.

He finally stopped hiding it. From his Hundred Treasures Pouch, he drew out a rare immortal herb.

It was a single blossom—a pale-pink flower of extraordinary size, its stem three feet long, petals crystal-clear like flawless jade, and a heart of soft violet that gleamed like embedded amethysts.

As soon as it appeared, a fragrance unlike anything else filled the room, intoxicating yet pure.

Bibi Dong's eyes locked onto it instantly.

Just one glance—she was captivated.

The pink petals matched perfectly with the violet core, striking right at her aesthetic. After all, Bibi Dong had always loved those two colors; her daily attire often reflected the same palette.

She stared at the flower in Lin Fan's hand for more than a full minute, unable to look away.

"Do you like it?" Lin Fan asked.

"I love it," she nodded earnestly.

"Are you satisfied?" he pressed.

"Extremely satisfied," she admitted without hesitation.

Rising to her feet, Bibi Dong approached, eyes shining. "So this is the flower you wanted to give me? The fragrance alone is heavenly."

"As long as you're happy," Lin Fan smiled, handing it to her.

She carefully took the stem into her hands, marveling at its cool touch. "What is this flower called? Spirit City has countless blooms, yet I've never seen anything like this. It even carries a refreshing chill in my hand."

Lin Fan's lips curved. "Never seen it before, have you? Naturally. This is the Fragrant Splendor Immortal—a noble among flowers, the only one of its kind in the world."

"Fragrant Splendor Immortal… what a beautiful name!" She cradled it lovingly, examining it from every angle, reluctant to let go.

Lin Fan sat beside her and explained further:

"This flower is more than beautiful. It has a powerful ability. It is the bane of all poisons—not an antidote in itself, but it suppresses and neutralizes any toxic influence. Since you bear the inheritance of the Rakshasa God, a divinity steeped in negative energy, having this flower by your side will help you endure and control that power."

Bibi Dong blinked in surprise. "Truly? Even without such an effect, I already adore it. But… thank you for thinking of my Rakshasa inheritance."

Lin Fan's smile deepened. "Since you're so satisfied, how do you plan to thank me?"

She froze, then frowned. "Wasn't this supposed to be your repayment for the two spirit bones I gave you?"

With a playful tone, Lin Fan teased, "Oh? So you're saying the Fragrant Splendor Immortal isn't worth as much as two hundred-thousand-year spirit bones? In that case, you'd better return it."

"Hmph! No chance. It's mine now," she clutched the flower possessively, then muttered, "In my eyes, this Fragrant Splendor Immortal is far more precious than spirit bones."

"There you go," Lin Fan said with a grin.

"Fine," she sighed. "What do you want? Say it."

"Just a kiss, to show your gratitude," he said, leaning closer.

"Shameless," Bibi Dong laughed and scolded.

"Tomorrow, I leave for the Slaughter City," Lin Fan's voice softened, almost pleading. "You won't even bless me with a kiss before I go?"

Her eyes flickered. "…One kiss, then." She tucked the flower away into the bracelet, cheeks faintly red.

Seeing this, Lin Fan slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her into a deep kiss.

When he finally released her, Bibi Dong's eyes were glazed, her face flushed.

Lin Fan smirked mischievously, scooping her up into his arms and carrying her toward the bedroom.

"Be gentle," she whispered.

I will, Lin Fan promised, before pressing her down beneath him.
