Chapter 128 - Chapter 128 – Champion of the Hell Slaughter Arena

Slaughter King, that 'Demon King' only needs one more match to complete his hundred-win streak. Please give your command.

A young girl dressed in black gauze knelt before the Slaughter King, not daring to even breathe too loudly as she asked for instructions.

"As usual. Send nine useless trash up onto the arena. Let him finish his hundred victories and leave early. The so-called Hell Emissary has already strung together thirty-one victories—the Slaughter City can't afford to keep bleeding out like this."

The Slaughter King's deep voice carried a note of impatience.

"Yes!"

Three days after his ninety-ninth consecutive win, the black-gauze girl came to inform Lin Fan that tomorrow he could challenge his one-hundredth battle.

Lin Fan wasn't some naive teenager—he naturally understood the Slaughter King's intentions. Especially since recently, his opponents had been nobodies, utterly insignificant and powerless.

Ever since Bibi Dong had brought Hu Liena into the Slaughter City, things had changed. Anyone with half a brain could tell what the Slaughter King was planning.

He was afraid Lin Fan's presence would tip the balance—helping Hu Liena survive longer, forcing the Slaughter City to suffer greater losses.

The Slaughter King was gambling that once Lin Fan left, Hu Liena wouldn't be able to reach her hundred wins alone.

But this arrangement suited Lin Fan just fine.

Otherwise, if he had to go through proper matches one by one, he had no idea how long it would take to finish his system's task.

Three days later.

In the Hell Slaughter Arena, a sharp whoosh echoed. The last opponent fell beneath Lin Fan's Killing Sword, his throat pierced clean through with a single strike.

Lin Fan unleashed his killing aura without restraint.

That terrifying blood-soaked intent surged outward like a tidal wave, forming an almost tangible vortex above the arena.

The vast audience, countless fallen ones who had gathered to watch, were stunned into silence under the crushing weight of his murderous aura.

A hundred battles in the Hell Slaughter Arena—Lin Fan had finally completed the mission the system had set.

The name Demon King was now etched into the very soul of the Slaughter City, like the descent of a true monarch of hell. To these fallen souls, it was the most terrifying existence imaginable.

Yet Lin Fan himself stood at the center, face calm and expressionless, eyes cold as he swept across the silent crowd.

But the stillness didn't last long.

The atmosphere in the arena suddenly reached its peak as, from above, a blood-red figure descended slowly from the heavens.

Along with it came a sharp, oppressive voice, echoing from all directions at once:

"Congratulations… the Demon King of the Slaughter City."

"Slaughter King! Slaughter King! Slaughter King!"

The crowd went mad, their voices hoarse, yet none of them dared stop their chanting.

Lin Fan's gaze sharpened. His eyes locked onto that scarlet figure in midair.

A towering man, his entire body cloaked in a massive crimson robe. His face was deathly pale, his eyes a glowing, bloody red. He descended slowly, seemingly unbound by the pull of gravity.

Hovering five meters above the ground, he finally stopped, overlooking Lin Fan from above. That low yet piercing voice rang out once more:

"I am pleased… Today, I have witnessed the birth of a true Slaughter Arena champion. For decades, no one has achieved a hundred consecutive victories. Yet the Demon King has done so—with sheer strength and a murderous aura so overwhelming that even you, my children, tremble before it. Isn't that so?"

"Yes! Y-Yes… yes!"

The Slaughter King exuded a strange charisma. Every fallen one who laid eyes on him was seized by a near-maniacal reverence.

Lin Fan soon realized why. A faint, sweet, metallic scent emanated from the Slaughter King's body—an intoxicating aura.

But of course, such tricks did not affect Lin Fan or Hu Liena, for they weren't true fallen ones.

The Slaughter King lifted his hand slightly, silencing the fanatical chanting.

Then his blood-red gaze fell upon Lin Fan.

"Congratulations, Demon King. In just a year and a half, you've completed a hundred victories—faster than any Slaughter God before you. You've earned the right to challenge the Hell Road."

"As a reward, I shall grant you two choices.

First: I can bestow upon you the title of Slaughter God ahead of schedule, giving you free entry and exit from the Slaughter City. You will be honored as a guest elder beneath me.

Second: you may take the trial of the Hell Road. But… you cannot imagine how terrifying it truly is. Demon King, remember—life is only given once."

Lin Fan let out a cold laugh.

"You, of all people, speaking to me of life? Isn't that ridiculous? This is the world of slaughter."

The Slaughter King chuckled darkly.

"So, you reject my offer. You want to challenge the Hell Road now?"

Lin Fan's Killing God Domain had already evolved into the Asura Domain after the hundred wins. For him, the Hell Road trial no longer held much meaning.

He changed his tone:

"No. Your offer isn't bad. Give me a few days to consider."

What he needed now was time—to claim his system rewards: the two-hundred-thousand-year spirit ring and the evolution of his domain.

Once he absorbed that ring, advancing to Rank 98, and combined with the Asura Domain, he would have absolute confidence even against the Slaughter King.

The Slaughter King had expected Lin Fan to rush directly into the Hell Road. But hearing his answer, he smiled in satisfaction.

"Very well. Three days. I'll await your decision."

With that, his figure vanished into thin air.

The fallen ones who had gathered scattered quickly, fearful of being caught in the Demon King's aura, fleeing as though they could sprout wings.

Back at their quarters, Hu Liena couldn't hold back her concern.

"Elder Lin… you don't plan to become the Slaughter King's guest, do you?"

"Of course not. I just need two days to adjust my killing intent. The recent battles were too frequent—I suspect there's more to it than meets the eye." Lin Fan brushed it off casually.

"I see. I almost thought you were afraid of the Hell Road… but being cautious is wise." Hu Liena nodded, relieved.

"Then I won't disturb you. Elder Lin, focus on regulating your aura."

"Mm."

They parted for their rooms.

Lin Fan immediately sealed his chamber, isolating his aura. Sitting cross-legged on the bed, he began to receive his reward.

[Congratulations, Host. After countless hardships and struggles in the Slaughter City, you have completed the hundred victories of the Hell Slaughter Arena. Reward distribution in progress…]

"System, next time, skip the long speech."

[Reward issued: One evolving spirit ring (capable of growing to two hundred thousand years, no attribute). Killing God Domain upgraded into Asura Domain.]

Boom!

The entire chamber shook. Lin Fan's Killing God Domain erupted, its illusory killing intent condensing into substance, becoming a boundless ocean of blood.

The killing aura he had cultivated in the arena over the past year and a half fused into the domain. Within it, Lin Fan's body felt weightless, unburdened, and utterly free of murderous taint.

On the surface, he seemed serene, like returning to purity—yet in truth, he had become something far more terrifying.

The Killing God Domain had evolved.

The Asura Domain was born.
