He forced himself up.
No snap.
No flourish.
Just raw authority.
Space folded.
While Primus was still squeezing Valador and Cyrus by the neck,
They vanished.
Gone.
Ripped clean out of the Time Domain and expelled back into reality, dumped outside the sealed lava zone like discarded fragments of light.
Primus blinked.
His hands closed on nothing.
"…Hm?"
The next instant,
Nolan vanished.
Then,
He appeared.
Right in front of Primus.
So close that the pressure of Primus's aura crushed the air between them into silence.
Nolan didn't snap his fingers this time.
He couldn't afford to.
Every movement now was costing him years of his existence.
"I'll be the one taking you on," Nolan said quietly.
His voice wasn't loud.
It didn't need to be.
The Time Domain itself responded.
The black void rippled like disturbed water.
Primus stared at him for a long moment.
Then,
He smiled.
"Oh?"
"So you finally decided to step forward yourself."
His aura expanded again.
