"Did you miss me, Doctor?"
Mr. Park Yeon Shuk asked, his voice soft and laced with flirtation, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
Dr. Teajoon didn't even try to hide his irritation.
"If you have something to say, say it clearly," he replied, his tone calm but visibly cold.
Mr. Park made himself comfortable on the chair in front of him.
"Well… my wrist's been aching a bit," he said, feigning innocence. "So I thought—why not come in for a check-up? Could you take a quick look, please?"
Dr. Teajoon let out a small breath and motioned toward him.
"Fine. Bring your hand here."
As he examined the wrist, Mr. Park's eyes never left the doctor's face. His gaze was soft, focused—almost mesmerized.
It felt like he was thinking, "If I could just have him...nothing else would matter."
Dr. Teajoon finally looked up.
"Your wrist is healing well. There's no issue. Just keep taking your medication on time, and you won't need to come back."
Mr. Park gave him a charming grin.
"Still, I think we'll be seeing each other again. I mean… that's what destiny is for, right?"
With a playful wink, he stood up and left the room, leaving Dr. Teajoon speechless and staring after him.
—
12:30 AM.
Dr. Teajoon had just returned home from a long day at the hospital. After a quick shower, he lay down on his bed, finally ready for some rest.
Suddenly, his phone buzzed.
An unknown number was calling.
He hesitated before picking up.
"Hello?" he said, voice groggy from exhaustion.
"Still awake, Doctor?" came the familiar voice from the other end—teasing, smooth, unmistakably Mr. Park.
Dr. Teajoon sat up, startled.
"You? How did you even get my number?"
There was a soft chuckle from the other side.
"When you really want something from the heart," Mr. Park replied, "the entire universe helps you get it."
Teajoon's eyes narrowed.
"What do you want?"
Mr. Park lowered his voice into a flirtatious purr.
"Will you give it to me… if I tell you?"
"Stop speaking in riddles," Teajoon said with clear annoyance. "Just say what you mean."
"Alright then…" Park said smoothly. "What does love mean to you, Doctor?"
There was a brief silence before Dr. Teajoon responded coldly,
"Nothing. It's a waste of time."
And with that, he hung up.
_
Back in his apartment, Mr. Park let the phone fall onto his chest and smiled to himself, eyes fixed on the ceiling.
"You may escape my calls Dr.Teajoon..but you can't escape the cuffs I've locked around you in my heart"
He closed his eyes, still smiling, already dreaming of their next encounter.
