Chapter 11 - Joining the Legio Urbana

February 15, 2016, Augustopolis, Legio Urbana Military Academy

After the limousine driver opened the limousine door, there were soldiers and cadets in formation outside and from afar a figure appeared that walked with millimeter precision, wore a gray uniform and proudly displayed his Neo-Hadrian helmet with the symbol of the Roman-tropical army: the Puma.

I got out of the limousine and the limousine driver was impressed by the presence of that figure and he stammered.

"It-It- It's General Lucius Castorius Agrippa!!!" stammered the driver.

The general raised his eyebrows and asked.

"Are you one of my fans, because of that channel focused on military history?"

The driver responded with noticeable enthusiasm.

"In fact, Emperor Titus IV had spoken about your campaign on the Venezuelan Front and how you had destroyed the Venezuelan army at the Battle of Maturín , a feat worthy of the first Roman-tropical emperor who defeated more than 30 thousand Portuguese soldiers at the Battle of São Vicente in 1675 with only 7 thousand soldiers." replied the driver.

Lucius looked at me and asked:

"So this boy is the crown prince of the Roman-tropical throne?" Lucius asked.

I took a step forward and answered.

"I am Titus Commodus Augustus, heir to the Roman-tropical throne, I am here to honor my ancestors who graduated from this military academy." I replied to Lucius.

Lucius looked at me and spoke.

"Welcome Crown Prince, when you enter this military academy, know that great leaders have come from here, we demand maximum commitment to our military academy, we do not tolerate mediocre military personnel in our military academy, recently in the confrontation that took place in Venezuela, I personally led the best cadets in the war and they are now real soldiers, not those European armies that are nothing more than peasants carrying a rifle, if the Russians want to take it out on Europe it will be a walk in the park." said Lucius.

Well, well, this general seems to be a "Patton" but being Roman, this type of military will be at least interesting in what is to come.

Lucius then ordered the cadets.

"Cadets! Sing the anthem of the Roman-tropical army of the contemporary period !" ordered Lucius.

Soon the cadets began to sing the anthem of the Roman-tropical army of the contemporary period.

Ultra mare venerunt proditores

De effundendo et serendo locuti sunt

Curiae Olisiponenses clamaverunt.

"Augustopolis cadere debet!"

In urbe Novae Olissepinae

Quindecim moschetarii apparuerunt

Qui contra haereticos pugnaverunt.

"Italia Australis libera esse debet!"

Mox Romani a Natali ad Novam Alexandriam clamabant.

"Foras cum Petro II, proditore traditionum!"

Anno 1672, finis intolerabilis

Romani, indigenae et nigri contra tyrannum Olisiponensem coniuncti sunt.

"Liberi erimus moriendo an in aeternum captivitate vivemus?

Anno 1679, Olisipo in chaos incidit

Fratres nostri Hispani nobiscum contra tyrannum domus Bragantensis staverunt.

"Ultra sunt fratres in certamine"

Anno 1681, plus quam decem milia militum Romano-tropicorum triginta quinque milia militum Lusitanorum et Britannorum vicerunt, totus mundus vidit...

"Heredes Latii non anno 476 evanuerunt!"

Anno 1683, tyrannus Olisiponensis imperium omnino Italiae Australis amittit, Lusitani e Fortaleza fugiunt.

"Pedites Romani etiam diabolum vincit!"

Interesting, an army anthem in the contemporary period, I found it fun, it's a somewhat different song to maintain its own originality.

Lucius then ordered.

"Cadet Titus Commodus Augustus, enter now!" ordered Lucius.

The limousine driver got back into the car and drove off in the direction of return.

So I replied.

"Yes Sir!" I replied.
