Chapter 66 - Chapter 66: Training and Break

Most of the vacation was spent training in different styles under the four founders. Rowena was teaching him one-step spell casting and training his reflexes by attacking him with a barrage of spells he was supposed to defend against by creating counterspells.

Gryffindor was teaching him battle skills that ensured he lasted long in drawn-out battles, along with the ability to measure energy expenditure and maintain complete control over body movement. Sword skills were an added bonus, especially considering the Gryffindor sword, which is light but also has the ability to divert spells directed at it.

Salazar's tests were a set of training exercises aimed at increasing processing speed in stressful situations. He created a training course where traps existed in each section. You had a limited time to find the hidden trap, recognise its functions, and disable it without activating it at all. The more you succeeded, the more complicated the next trap became, and the time required to complete it reduced significantly. Additionally, Salazar made sure that he never encountered the same trap twice. Each trap was made using different types of rituals, including both light and dark ones. Some rituals involved disabling every rune within them to free a small animal trapped at the centre alive in order to pass, while others looked extremely complicated but could be completed by simply physically removing the animal alive.

After two days, Auden realised why the purebloods had chosen Salazar to push forward their campaign of blood purity. The man had a sadistic streak that frightened those who knew nothing about him, and the traps he created clearly reflected it.

The next set of training was conducted by Helga. Seeing the determination of her son, she too became serious about teaching him. She took on the role of teaching him about battles involving flora and fauna.

Most of this training took place in forests where Auden was not allowed to use spells unless they were specifically meant to counter the particular plant or animal that Helga used to attack him. An additional condition was that Auden had to incapacitate his attackers without causing much harm to them. There might be enemies in the future who could control innocents or allies to attack him, so Helga was preparing him to defeat opponents without causing harm.

Even a fool can kill with a knife, but only an expert can defeat an opponent without wounding them.

Normally, training in the open using spells would have alerted the Ministry that an underage wizard was using magic. However, the detector is built into wands and is deactivated when a wizard graduates from Hogwarts.

But Auden's wand communicated with him directly and deactivated that function within itself, so no one would be able to detect that he was using magic during vacation.

The four sets of training continued constantly throughout the entire break. Auden only took a few weekends off, and that was to continue his plans to change the wizarding world.

He knew that he needed stable power in both the wizarding and Muggle worlds to control the revelation of secrets, so he used the information sent to him by Inazuma to start investing.

He found a group of Muggle-born individuals who had a wizard in their family. His criteria for selection were people who had been betrayed for their honesty by their superiors or colleagues in the stock and technology industries. His aim was to give these people the power to build a company that could stand at the forefront of industries and be viewed by the public as honest.

Auden knew that every business had its own form of trickery or illegal practices to sustain itself, but he wanted to create a brand that could survive without such methods. He also planned to establish industries that maintained a consistent level of quality over time.

One of the major differences Auden noticed in this era was the taste of food. Even simple fried meat was far better than what was available in the 2020s. So he wanted these industries to become powerful enough to maintain a standard of products that would not decline in quality for profit in the future.

It might seem like too much, as the world itself is too vast to change, but Auden was not a powerless little boy in a world where control required many people and organisations. In the wizarding world, personal strength can dictate how an era unfolds.

So Auden was going to try his best.

In the business sector, Auden used magical contracts to bind the people he employed. Since they knew about magic and its consequences, he could trust that they would not betray him in the future.

He provided them with information about market trends in the near future, along with details about the companies they were supposed to invest in.

Now all he needed to do was sit back and see whether any problems arose from doing too much successful business.

Auden also had other plans. He intended to ensure that technology did not get suppressed for going against powerful global interests.

Any alternative fuel source to oil was often immediately suppressed by large companies with political influence. But Auden began asking ghosts for help in identifying people who were being targeted because of their inventions. He planned to save them and provide them with enough resources to continue their research, thereby pushing humanity forward in the muggle sector as well.

He had already begun implementing his plans and had managed to find a few scientists who had bounties placed on them due to their inventions.

"Guess it's time for a break," Auden muttered as he realised he had reached the last few weeks of his summer vacation.

His training was over, and he had managed to start a company that was already seeing mild success in the market. Additionally, the scientists he rescued had been introduced to magic and were now creating inventions that combined both worlds.

"I guess it's time to accept Luna's invitation," Auden decided.

A/N – Hope you like it.
