Levi didn't wait for the little beast to recover from its theatrical embarrassment.
He simply reached out, scooped up the creature in one hand despite its protests and attempts to escape, and carried it with him as he headed toward the bathroom attached to the master bedroom.
The little thief seemed to have realized what Levi wanted to do.
"Squeeeeeeak!" [Heeeeeeeeelp!]
It squeaked desperately and frantically in bloody murder as though Levi was dragging it toward some terrible fate rather than simply planning to give it a bath.
The bathroom was small, with white tile covering the walls and floor and a deep bathtub.
He turned on the water and adjusted the temperature until it was pleasantly warm, then plugged the drain and allowed the tub to fill while he kept a firm grip on his struggling companion.
"Stop struggling!" Levi said with mock sternness as he lowered the little thief into the rising water.
"Squeeeeak!" [I trusted you with my life! But you betrayed me!"
