Chapter 267 - Tatsumaki

Chapter 5 – Tatsumaki

"I usually don't hit women... but if you really want to get smacked, feel free to come at me."

That was all Zenin Kyūjō said as he stood and casually walked out of the room.

Stepping onto the apartment balcony, he immediately jumped off the 11th floor without hesitation. Saitama, of course, followed right behind him.

The members of the Blizzard Group inside the room were frozen in disbelief for a moment.

Some of Fubuki's men—still dressed in their slick black suits—rushed toward the balcony, poking their heads out to check below.

There, standing on the pavement as if nothing had happened, were Kyūjō and Saitama—completely unscathed and totally calm, waiting for them.

— — —

Huh...?

What the hell is wrong with these two idiots?

They had perfectly good stairs and still chose to jump from the 11th floor!?

Even for heroes in B-Class, launching themselves from that height without support wasn't exactly normal. A regular person would've shattered every bone in their body—or worse—just from a bad landing.

Fubuki furrowed her brow.

She hadn't expected this.

Turns out... even that bald guy with the blank stare wasn't ordinary.

Still, she didn't feel afraid.

In terms of raw power, she stood at the top tier even among A-Class heroes. Her psychokinesis alone could crush most mid-tier threats.

Unless she was up against an S-Class hero, Fubuki had never once believed she'd lose a fight.

Lifting herself gently off the ground using her psychic energy, she floated down from the balcony—hovering ten meters above Kyūjō.

"I'd suggest not hovering like that," Kyūjō called up, his tone bored. "You'll just end up embarrassing yourself."

"Hmph."

Without answering, the #1 B-Class hero—Hellish Blizzard—let loose.

Her psychic aura erupted like a tidal wave, forming a violent whirlwind of force. The blast surged outward, tearing up the street, tossing rubble and trash like a storm out of nowhere.

The raging force hurtled toward Kyūjō and Saitama.

"Is this psychic power?" Saitama asked, scratching his bald head while glancing at Kyūjō.

"Looks like it," Kyūjō replied as his eyes narrowed, analyzing the energy structure with his Infinity Perception.

—This was innate spiritual power. It had nothing to do with muscle strength. From the moment of birth, the shape and strength of one's soul determined whether psychic abilities would manifest.

And those born with it had fixed limits. Breaking past them required dismantling their natural Limiter...

I wonder... did Tatsumaki ever manage to break her Limiter in the future...? Kyūjō pondered.

But before the whirlwind could even touch them, the energy vanished—completely neutralized, as if swallowed by the air itself.

Saitama blinked. Then reached out to touch something invisible in front of him.

"Kyūjō, are you using psychic powers too? Some kind of energy barrier?"

Kyūjō shook his head slowly. "Nah. This is Star Force. It's my own power."

He hadn't used it to protect himself.

He just didn't want to get his clothes dirty from flying debris.

In the next instant, Kyūjō shot upward—faster than any normal human could track. In a blink, he appeared directly in front of Fubuki.

Then he casually threw a light punch into her gut.

"Guh—!"

That single, gentle strike made Fubuki cough up the entirety of her stomach contents—both lunch and dinner, violently expelled midair.

Vomit sprayed across the skyline, glinting under the crimson light of the setting sun.

— — —

"Saitama," Kyūjō said calmly, turning away, "I think the supermarket's doing a discount sale today. Let's check it out."

"Oh, right. Yeah, let's go!" Saitama beamed, instantly forgetting everything else as he followed Kyūjō toward town.

The two strolled off together, side by side, their figures bathed in the golden rays of sunset.

Back at the scene, Fubuki lay collapsed on the ground, retching uncontrollably. All traces of her icy elegance—gone.

Her once-commanding aura shattered. Her dignity? Now smeared across the pavement.

Her subordinates, who had just arrived after climbing down from the 11th floor, stood frozen.

"Boss! Are you okay!?"

"H-He really did it...!"

"Boss actually lost? That rookie's that strong!?"

"His power level... it's gotta be at S-Class already! She couldn't even withstand a single hit!"

Amid the panic, one of the Blizzard Group members in the back quietly pulled out his phone.

He snapped a photo of Fubuki's ruined state, then sent it to a contact listed under a girl with green hair.

That contact was none other than—

Tornado of Terror, S-Class Rank 2, and Fubuki's older sister.

City A – Hero Association Headquarters

Tatsumaki had just returned from another successful monster extermination. Now, she was soaking naked in her personal bath, surrounded by rising steam and blissful heat.

Her cheeks flushed. Breathing relaxed.

She floated gently in the water, enjoying the peace.

With a flick of her finger, she lifted herself out of the bath using telekinesis. A towel and robe flew to her, wrapping her automatically.

Beep-beep...

A notification sounded from her phone.

With another subtle gesture, the phone slid into her hand from across the room.

— — —

The moment she saw the photo on the screen, the entire Hero Association HQ—a fortress engineered by Metal Knight to withstand even nuclear attacks—began to tremble.

— — —

Conference Room – Upper Floor

Several high-ranking officers were mid-meeting when the building shook.

"Wh-What was that?! An earthquake?!"

"No… This kind of tremor... it's not natural."

"Is it a monster attack?!"

"Alert every S-Class hero in the area! We need defensive coverage—now!"

— — —

"B-Class Rank 6... the so-called 'Light of Z-City'... huh."

"You dare lay a finger on my sweet little sister?"

"Have you prepared yourself... to face the wrath of Tornado?"

With a single snap of her fingers, Tatsumaki's outfit formed around her instantly. Then she burst out of Hero HQ, tearing through the sky at blinding speed—headed straight for Z-City.
