Chapter 32 – First Meeting with the Purple Potato
The yellow-brown surface of the planet stretched endlessly beneath their feet.
Between layers of dust and scattered stone, the faint silhouettes of countless grand ruins could still be seen—this was Planet Titan, the former home of the Eternal race. Gamora's face was filled with complicated emotions as she gazed across the desolate landscape.
In the past, Thanos had often brought her to this place.
I hope you're not here… Gamora thought silently, memories flashing back to the terrifying power of Blake Thorne that she had once witnessed with her own eyes.
But unfortunately…
Her hope was in vain.
Thanos was indeed on Planet Titan.
The moment Blake detected the silhouette of the Mad Titan through the Infinity Perception System, the corner of his lips curved into a faint, meaningful smile.
"So… I finally get to meet you in person, Thanos."
In a calm voice, Blake pointed to a set of coordinates on the ship's monitor and spoke to Star-Lord.
"Land the ship here. And tell your father, Yondu—don't separate their fleet from ours. Thanos's elite forces, the Black Order, are also on this planet."
Because of Thanos's terrifying reputation across the entire universe, Yondu decided to bring his full Ravager crew along to escort Peter Quill.

Elsewhere, Loki was bound tightly in magical restraints, both his hands and feet shackled. He was suspended above the ground, hanging from a massive stone pillar on Titan's surface.
His body was covered in wounds. His layered battle armor was torn and tattered. Everything about his appearance reflected the suffering of the God of Mischief.
With a slow, deliberate motion, Ebony Maw—one of the Black Order—raised a single finger.
Instantly, small pebbles lifted into the air under his telekinetic control, then shot forward at terrifying speed, slicing through the air with sharp, whistling cracks.
The stones slammed into Loki's body, piercing even his divine flesh.
"Ugh…" Loki groaned, his voice strained as pain twisted his face.
"Loki," Ebony Maw said coldly, "I will ask you again. Where did you hide the Tesseract and the Scepter containing the Mind Stone?"
He had repeated that same question countless times over the past few days, yet never received a consistent answer.
Blood trickled from the corner of Loki's mouth as he turned his head and looked at Thanos with pleading eyes.
"I truly gave them to Ronan of the Kree Empire… He said it was under your orders, Thanos. But now I think… Ronan betrayed you. The Scepter and the Tesseract must still be in Ronan's hands…"
Thanos remained silent, his expression unreadable.
He had heard countless versions of Loki's lies since the torture began—always a different story every day.
And every time his forces went to verify them, they found nothing.
Thanos frowned slightly, regretting that he had entrusted the Mind Stone to Loki in the first place.
"Ebony Maw. Increase the intensity."
But at that moment, a small aircraft streaked across the sky at high speed, heading straight for their location.
From the craft, Proxima Midnight—another member of the Black Order—leapt down gracefully and knelt before Thanos.
"Lord Thanos," she reported firmly, "More than a dozen spacecraft have been detected approaching. Based on their markings and structure, they belong to the Star Hunters. Our fleet is moving to intercept. Should we open fire and shoot them down?"
"Star Hunters…" Thanos murmured softly.
He shook his head.
"No need. Let them come closer."
Curiosity stirred within him.
Why would Star Hunters come to his old home?
Were they here to hunt for treasure?
Or… were they here for him?
Even so, as the strongest being of the Eternal race, Thanos felt no fear at all.
He didn't care if dozens—or even thousands—of ships came.
To him, spacecraft were nothing more than fragile objects that couldn't even scratch his skin.
Not long after, the ship carrying Blake and the others arrived in Titan's skies, directly above Thanos's position.
Blake jumped down first, followed by Drax, Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, Gamora, Yondu, and the rest of their small force—all of them clad in full combat armor.
They stood face-to-face with Thanos, the Galactic Tyrant feared across the entire universe.
Thanos observed them coldly…
Until his eyes fell on Gamora.
At that moment, his expression softened.
He rose from the massive rock he had been sitting on and began to walk forward slowly.
"Gamora… you've finally come back."
His voice was incredibly gentle—almost like a father welcoming his daughter home.
Ignoring everyone else, Thanos continued walking toward Gamora.
Gamora's feelings were tangled and chaotic.
Thanos had raised her…
But he had also slaughtered half of her people, including her biological parents.
Gamora no longer cared about revenge or not.
What she was truly tired of was living under Thanos's shadow—and the endless massacres that followed him wherever he went.
Her eyes trembled as she gripped the twin swords at her waist and slowly drew them out.
She took a defensive stance, staring at Thanos with unwavering resolve.
"Don't come any closer… Thanos," Gamora said coldly.
"I'm not your daughter. Whatever we had… it's over."
"Give up on your twisted obsession! Find a peaceful planet and live quietly!"
After saying that, Gamora glanced toward Blake.
She knew her words would probably be meaningless.
Still, Blake gave her a slight nod.
If Thanos was willing to retreat and stop spreading destruction, then he would be given a chance to live.
But…
Was that even possible?
Objectively speaking, Thanos's ideals weren't entirely wrong.
By randomly erasing half the population of the universe, he believed he could extend the lifespan of the cosmos—easing the burden on its resources.
In the Dragon Ball world, there were even beings known as Gods of Destruction—figures whose very role was to destroy planets to maintain balance.
But there was a crucial difference.
Gods of Destruction possessed the power to do so without relying on tools. More importantly, they were bound to their respective universes—if a universe was destroyed, the god tied to it would perish as well.
They didn't just destroy. They also maintained balance. If a civilization grew too weak, it could be erased by Zeno.
But Thanos…
He wasn't a God of Destruction.
And by sweeping away the universe's population at random, he was making far too many enemies.
If he had chosen planet by planet—targeting only weak civilizations with no potential…
Maybe his mission could have lasted longer.
As long as he didn't touch Earth…
Blake slowly shook his head, pushing those thoughts aside.
He stepped forward and stood directly in front of the so-called Purple Potato.
"Thanos," Blake said calmly, but with undeniable weight in his voice, "I think you should seriously consider what Gamora just said. If you don't… then today, you will die by my hand."
Hearing that threat, Thanos frowned.
How long had it been…
Since anyone had dared to speak to him like this?
